Toronto House Rental Photos and Description

Open-concept Living/dining/kitchen To Back Sitting Area(den)

Enter the calming, open-concept oasis of 12 Stanley Avenue and find yourself surrounded by bright, natural light from the oversized south-facing windows and splashes of color from the mix of mid-century and contemporary furnishings and eclectic art. Gleaming white oak floors flow throughout the space and the combination living-dining room features an Italian marble-top table, perfect for formal dinners or spreading out the newspaper for a casual weekend brunch.

The fully stocked galley kitchen with top-of-the-line appliances is the central hub of the main floor and leads to a cozy nook for relaxing in front of the TV with full cable access. Floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors open to an enclosed deck bathed in afternoon sun.

Upstairs the luxurious surroundings continue, with the exquisite bathroom retreat, complete with heated floors and deep, soaker tub lit from above by an antique crystal candelabra chandelier for the ultimate bubble bath escape. The glass-surround shower stall and its rain-head fixture ensure an invigorating start to the day or a relaxing unwinding at day’s end.

The bathroom leads to an upper deck, shaded on one side by mature trees and offering a western view of spectacular sunsets on the other. Both bedrooms feature inviting, comfortable beds and luxurious linens: a king-sized in the master with windows overlooking Stanley Park, and a queen in the tranquil second bedroom.

An alcove office provides a zen-like private workspace and the basement surprises with its efficient washer-dryer combo and another full-size bathroom with its own soaker tub.

Other added touches you’ll appreciate at 12 Stanley include:

* Thick combed-cotton robes and slippers for your use during your stay.

* The use of an iPhone and charger for local Toronto-area calls. No need to worry about roaming fees!

* Breakfast on us: a gift card for Nadège, one of the area’s best bakeries. (Can also be used for a midday sandwich or for their mouth-watering macarons.)

* Green, 100% biodegradable bath products from a local salon.

Travelling with small children? Leave all the cumbersome gear behind -- we've got you covered!

Our family-friendly house comes complete with:

*Child-proof safety gate for the stairs

*Regulation highchair and booster seat

*Pack-n-play playpen/crib combination

*Games and puzzles inside and a neighbourhood park across the street, complete with playground, ping pong table, outdoor pool and splash pad!

We love kids -- so much so they stay for free (12 and under).

Welcome home.

Guestbook comments from the owner

These guys were wonderful from beginning to end and I would highly recommend this beautiful house to anyone looking for a centrally located oasis. We were walking distance from everywhere we wanted to be, the house was clean and comfortable and our hosts were beyond helpful. This is "the" place to stay in Toronto!

Heaven in Toronto

  • 5 of 5

Sublime! A 5 Star Hotel in a House. Beautifully set out, stylish and comfortable. Close to everywhere you would want to be ; restaurants, galleries, yoga and swimming, shops (top end, medium or cheap), theaters and parks. Quiet, chic and pristine. Perfection.

Clean, Comfortable, Great Location

  • 5 of 5

I stayed with 4 friends for a weekend in Toronto and had a great time! We were right downtown and everything was easy to walk to, whether it was brunch, dinner, bars, etc. I only had to take a Uber really to get to the Hockey Hall of Fame, but honestly should have walked the 30 minutes because traffic was so bad. Toronto is getting popular!

Our sleeping arrangments were 1 king and 1 queen with 2 bathrooms with a shower and plenty of comfortable foldable futons for sleeping. John is a great host and provided us with a great spot to have fun and explore Toronto. The internet went in and out a couple times, but wasn't a real problem. Overall, really happy with the place and would stay again.

Great location for a great property

  • 5 of 5

My sister and I had a great experience here for 4 nights. The location is great...very safe and walkable area with public transit of all kinds also readily available. The house itself is beautiful and the upstairs deck was a favorite location for us to enjoy the beautiful weather at the end of our long days. John was very helpful with anything we needed both before and during our trip. Communication is great! He was very prompt with return of our security deposit and we highly recommend staying here when you visit Toronto. We both really enjoyed our first trip to Canada and would stay here again if we return! Thanks!

Beautiful property, great experience

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely three-day stay at the property. John was courteous and prompt throughout and we loved the location; right between Quest West and King with great shopping, food and access to transportation (we parked our car and never used it!). Our three kids loved it, would recommend!

Very nice condo in great location!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time in Toronto and this condo was very clean and comfortable. There were several restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance. We were close to the streetcar system which could get you to many of the sights easily. The beds were comfortable and the bedding and towels high quality. I will stress that it was extremely clean. They had information available about the area and all of the popular sights in Toronto which was helpful. They even had a coffee pot and coffee available, this was a huge bonus! They provided a certificate for breakfast and we greatly appreciated that. The area was safe and there is a park across the street. You are very close to the neighbors, but that is city living. I have rented many houses and condos over the years and this is among the best.

Wonderful property, convenient location, & terrific owner !

  • 5 of 5

Our party of 4 adults had a thoroughly enjoyable 4-night stay. The only surprises were pleasant ones, like the gift card to a great local bakery and just how easy it was to walk to grocery stores, restaurants, and craft breweries ! The property was clean, well equipped, and nicely appointed, and the owner provided prompt, patient, and gracious responses to our requests for information. I hope we can find an excuse to visit again.
