Surrounded by beautiful big pines and the manicured fairways of Tahoe Donner Golf Course, this variation on the classic A-frame just nine minutes from shops, restaurants and galleries in historic downtown Truckee has two bedrooms, room for four, a hot tub, and access to a fitness center, swimming pools, and, of course, golfing! Ideally situated between magnificent Lake Tahoe and year-long, seasonal fun at popular resorts like Northstar, this charming chalet combines alpine mystique with comfort and convenience.
Through one wall of glass, you'll savor a pine-studded view and bask in the warmth of the sunlight that makes the interior a bright and comfortable space. Or, slip into warm embrace of the hot tub out on the big deck as you gaze up at the clear mountain sky. When winter winds blow, gather in front of the gas fireplace and watch cable TV, a DVD, or head up to the loft for a little solitude with a book or the laptop (there's free WiFi throughout). Make a snack, a cup of cocoa, or a whole meal in the fully equipped kitchen tucked under the loft. It has everything your chef will need to prepare morning eggs to evening entrees.
With one bedroom and a loft, this charming getaway will accommodate four. The bedroom, with a queen bed, is located on the main level. Across the hall is a full bath. Upstairs in the loft is another queen bed, a flat screen for late night viewing, and a great view of the trees through the big window. There's an en suite half-bath up here as well. You'll sleep comfortably and peacefully with plenty of linens and carpeted floors to greet your toes in the morning!
Your stay at this charming chalet comes with access to Tahoe Donner amenities, activities like a golf course, ski area, access to two pool complexes (one year-round), and a gym. Donner Memorial State Park is just 10 minutes south. Set against picturesque Donner Lake, offers plenty of opportunities to hike and bike in summer, and, come winter, offers miles of trails to snowshoe and cross-country ski. A good game of golf is close at hand: Tahoe Donner Golf Course literally surrounds the property! Great skiing is less than 30 minutes away at one of the major resorts in the area: Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, Northstar, Boreal, and Sugarbowl.
Note: the use of Tahoe Donner HOA facilities requires additional daily fees.

This cute cabin was perfect for our family of 4 - the upstairs bedroom had plenty of room for us to set up our porta-crib for the baby. There was plenty of everything we needed (kitchen utensils, dish soap, towels, shampoo, pots/pans, etc) but there was not a coffee grinder as stated in the description - not a big deal, but luckily there was a blender... The parking spot in the garage was so appreciated because it snowed 12 inches the first day and we didn't have to shovel the car out. The hot tub was also wonderful, and thankfully the previous snow had been shoveled off the deck so we could access it. If you have little kids, be sure to bring your own toys/activities, because the only things in the house are like a 1000-piece puzzle... and of course the TV and wifi. Would definitely stay here again!
This cabin was great for our family of four. The upstairs bedroom had plenty of space to set up a porta-crib for the baby. The living space was open and comfy, with gorgeous views of the snowfall in the backyard. The deck was shoveled of snow so we could enjoy the hot tub (even in the rain!) and we really appreciated having a garage parking spot so we didn't have to shovel the car out of the snow. Plenty of utensils, pots, plates, cups/mugs, soap, towels, shampoo, etc. Be sure to bring a few toys/games if you have little kids, as the house only has a couple of 1000-piece puzzles. We enjoyed our stay!
We love the place. High quality place. Very few things I would change. 4 man hot tube really hit the spot after a hard day skiing.
this place is just fine but lacked attention to detail. when we booked, i don't think i realized it was managed and perhaps owned by an agency: vacasa. i prefer to work with owners directly. it was no fault of the agency that we arrived after a HUGE storm and the power had been out for days so the hot tub was not usable. we were disappointed because we paid extra for a cabin with that amenity. there were all kinds of small things that were surprising to me, like 3 salt shakers but all were empty. i didn't expect a stocked pantry but there wasn't even 1 roll of saran wrap or anything like that. there weren't extra blankets, a few things needed repairs. perhaps it was just renting during a busy time that the agency couldn't attend to all the details. i will say we are spoiled by the place we usually stay, but was already booked so we couldn't this time. that owner is highly involved with the upkeep of her modest little unit and the feeling comes across of it being more personal and welcoming.
The property was clean and convenient to where we needed to be.
