Surrounded by beautiful big pines and the manicured fairways of Tahoe Donner Golf Course, this variation on the classic A-frame just nine minutes from shops, restaurants and galleries in historic downtown Truckee has two bedrooms, room for four, a hot tub, and access to a fitness center, swimming pools, and, of course, golfing! Ideally situated between magnificent Lake Tahoe and year-long, seasonal fun at popular resorts like Northstar, this charming chalet combines alpine mystique with comfort and convenience.
Through one wall of glass, you'll savor a pine-studded view and bask in the warmth of the sunlight that makes the interior a bright and comfortable space. Or, slip into warm embrace of the hot tub out on the big deck as you gaze up at the clear mountain sky. When winter winds blow, gather in front of the gas fireplace and watch cable TV, a DVD, or head up to the loft for a little solitude with a book or the laptop (there's free WiFi throughout). Make a snack, a cup of cocoa, or a whole meal in the fully equipped kitchen tucked under the loft. It has everything your chef will need to prepare morning eggs to evening entrees.
With one bedroom and a loft, this charming getaway will accommodate four. The bedroom, with a queen bed, is located on the main level. Across the hall is a full bath. Upstairs in the loft is another queen bed, a flat screen for late night viewing, and a great view of the trees through the big window. There's an en suite half-bath up here as well. You'll sleep comfortably and peacefully with plenty of linens and carpeted floors to greet your toes in the morning!
Your stay at this charming chalet comes with access to Tahoe Donner amenities, activities like a golf course, ski area, access to two pool complexes (one year-round), and a gym. Donner Memorial State Park is just 10 minutes south. Set against picturesque Donner Lake, offers plenty of opportunities to hike and bike in summer, and, come winter, offers miles of trails to snowshoe and cross-country ski. A good game of golf is close at hand: Tahoe Donner Golf Course literally surrounds the property! Great skiing is less than 30 minutes away at one of the major resorts in the area: Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, Northstar, Boreal, and Sugarbowl.

4th time we have stayed at Donner. 2nd time here at glacier view. our daughter had surgery at Incline Village so the location was perfect . thank you!
This little home is delightfully appointed, comfortable and invited relaxation. Wooded setting, hot tub, comfy beds and couches. Who could ask for more?!
The cabin is tucked away in the Truckee Donner community a few miles in off the main road. The great thing about this is the backyard is trees and barely another cabin in view in the backyard. The back wall is all windows so you get an amazing view of why you go to Tahoe. There is an awesome deck with a great hot tub. The house was fully equipped with dishes, cookware and everything worked as described. The downstairs room is straight forward but the upstairs is pretty amazing. There is a loft area with a single seater chair that is like a lounge area that you can look out on the floor to ceiling glass windows in the back. There is a separate "glass" door to the bedroom. I specify glass since if you're looking for privacy then it might be an issue. The upstairs has a half bathroom in the bedroom. We had a really great time enjoying the snow and watching the snowfall. Despite the snow the gas bbq was in great working order.
One other thing that was a huge plus was we were able to use on parking spot in the garage. It snowed all day and night and we had to shovel the drive way a tiny bit to get out but had we actually parked outside like most we would have been digging the actual truck out. Would definitely recommend this place.
We love this place. We have stayed here twice. We have a family of 4 and were very comfortable here. We had plenty of space; it was comfortable and clean - a great place to return to after a day of skiing/playing in the snow. It's small and understated, but has everything you need, and is extremely well priced for the location. Owners label everything well, and the communications are clear; you know what to expect. Love the fire and hot tub!
