We loved Hill Villa! We walked to the beach and to the bay, nice location and everything we needed. Loved to be able to do laundry there. Nice to be able to sit by wood stove after a chilly day on the beach. Perfect size for 4 plus dog, we had plenty of space. Very clean and everything was in working order.
We stayed with some very good friends! This is the best value in Newport as far as We are concerned! A must see
cozy house. could have less trees for better view of the ocean. Loved the house. Hot water is to HOT, shower very sensitive.
The weather and Newport were great, The rental was a bad dream. The broken recliner chair that was noted by previous guests is still broken. The house needs much better light especially in the winter. The place is so FULL of wine glasses, flatware, old pans and "decorative" stuff there is no place to put food or other things. There are well over 40 lighthouse decorations in the place. After 10 it gets redundant. Old sticky fr y pans, 3 or more of every small kitchen gadgets, but no can opener (I bought and left one.) Shower is moldy. Outside trash was over 1/2 full when we arrived and was never emptied the week we stayed. The instruction say it would be picked up in the PM, but no day was given.
Finally, the instructions say to call the local contact number with any issues, I called 8 times over 2 days and only got the message "this cell number is not available , please try later." This was before Thanksgiving so it was not a holiday. There was no option to leave a call back number. Pay more, move on.
