About SJ & Marc
We are long time residents of West Yellowstone and couldn't pass up owning and offering this classic log cabin to guests that want to enjoy the Greater Yellowstone area.
Why SJ & Marc chose West Yellowstone
This historic cabin built in 1930 has wonderful character, is on a wooded lot with mature trees, and is centrally located within walking distance to restaurants, shopping, markets, and National Forest trails and open space. Built in 1930, our log cabin was restored and upgrade with modern amenities, yet maintains the mid 20th century charm and character.
What makes this Cabin unique
We renovated our cabin in June of 2013. The floors were sanded and refinished, there is honey colored pine wood paneling throughout (not a single piece of sheetrock!) and we added modern conveniences and a second bathroom, yet kept the unique and historical charm of the log cabin and wooded lot.

Excellent location and cabin
September 14-21, 2019
Outstanding 1930's cabin feel but with all of the modern amenities. It was perfect for two couples. Fifteen minutes to an elk herd inside the west gate. Thank you Marc and S.J. for allowing us the use of your cabin.
The cabin was exactly as expected and as clean and convenient as can be. Close to Yellowstone National Park and walking distance to shops and restaurants (even with kids!)
Location - You can't get a better place to stay. 1.5 Miles from West Gate, 2 Miles from Airport and food/groceries within a 2 mile radius.
Property - Amazing cabin with all the required amenities. This cabin is definitely not kid safe but that wasn't a concern for us as we had the kids under control.
Bedding - the one in the attic had bugs. Not sure if the bugs fell from the wooden roof or were there already. This is my only complain
Owner - Very prompt in answering queries and always available (at least for us) when ever we needed something.
They had a guide available for us, which was very useful when we were planning for our daily trips.
Neighborhood - Little bit isolated. But there is a motel quite opposite to property where you can see tourists all the time coming in and out. But other than this rest of the place is kinda deserted. Again this wasn't a big concern for us.
Overall - Very much satisfying. I would definitely recommend this cabin.
Beautiful Cabin in Town
Enjoy an impeccably renovated cabin blocks from the downtown shops in West Yellowstone. The owner is very friendly, very thoughtful and very easy to communicate with.
The cabin is wonderful as the owners thought of everything when they modernized it. There are two bedrooms and two baths on the ground floor with an open floor plan and high ceilings for the kitchen/living room/dining area. There is a loft with two single beds and a cabinet full of games; the loft is accessible by built in ladder that is so sturdy that it didn't trigger my fear of heights.
The cabin is set on a wooded lot but it is in town - there are houses on each side and a motel across the street.
I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Minutes from Yellowstone!
Great nostalgic log cabin right in the heart of West Yellowstone. This gave us the best of both worlds with access to the park and stores, but feeling like your in the middle of the woods. Everything was perfect!
The Grizzly & Wolf Discovery center has live grizzly bears ,wolf packs and raptors for viewing, as well as indoor exhibits, movies and gift shop. The IMAX theater is adjacent and across the street is West Yellowstone's historic district and the Yellowstone Historic Center (open in summer). The West entrance to Yellowstone National park is only blocks away and skiing, snow shoeing, walking, and snowmobiling in the Gallatin National Forest are within walking distance of our cabin. Hebgen Lake, Henry's Lake and historic Quake Lake are a short 15-30 minute drive away. We are located in a fishing mecca with multiple lakes, rivers and streams including the Madison, Gallatin and Firehole Rivers. Ice fishing is prevalent and the annual Hebgen Lake Fishing Derby fun. The Rocky Mountains are within minutes and there are many additional mountain ranges to explore in summer and winter.
