About Sue Molloy

My fiance, Derek, and I live in the main house in front of the cottage, so we are close by and ready to help if any of our guests have questions or need assistance. We are both avid cyclists, I am also a runner. We both love the outdoors and we love to travel, especially to Europe! Derek is from S. Africa and I am from Chicago. We actually met on bicycles.

Sue Molloy purchased this cottage in 2008

Why Sue Molloy chose West Palm Beach

South Florida is a great place to be, especially if you are escaping the cold north! Our cottage has everything a traveler could need. Not only is it cute, but it is always neat and clean. It is very private as well. The entrance to the cottage is through the back alley. There is a privacy fence that separates our back yard from the private cottage courtyard. Sometimes we never even see our guests!

What makes this cottage unique

The Intercoastal waterway is only 3 blocks away. It is very nice to take a stroll or a bike ride along the water. There are "Ski Bike" stations in and around downtown where you can rent bikes from the street to get around on. There is also a free trolley that you can get on 4 blocks away that will take you downtown and to other shopping and restaurant areas.

Casa del sol is perfect!! I would definitely stay here again.

  • 5 of 5

The cottage is very comfortable, well equipped with the comforts of home and peaceful. It features a full kitchen with anything you could want from a stove and microwave to coffee filters!! The bathroom has a great shower, also with towels, sunscreen, hairdryer, etc...

There is comfortable seating outdoors as well as shade if desired. Stackable washer and dryer for an added convenience!!

Sue and Derek have provided a lovely place to stay! They are thoughtful as there were flowers, chocolate and a nice note from them on the table when we got here. This has been a very enjoyable experience and I am hoping to return next year!

Sue and Dereck were very welcoming and made us feel like at home. The cottage is well equipped and nicely decorated so it is a perfect place to spend holidays. It is very close to down town and the beaches.

Casa del Sol was perfect for us

  • 5 of 5

We visited West Palm Beach (WPB) for a dive trip and needed something with good location and comfortable space. Casa del Sol was perfect and even better than the listing could portray. Located near Northwood Village, it is within walking distance of some great restaurants and shops and convenient to north/south highways connecting you to the greater WPB area. The cottage was lovely and clean and the hosts have attended to guests' needs with a healthy wi-fi signal, soap, shampoo, paper towels, etc. The location is in a lovely, quiet neighborhood and we felt safe at all times. We had complete privacy and plenty of space in the pretty courtyard to hang/place our dive gear for drying. Sue & Derek even provided a portable rack that was perfect for the wetsuits. The kitchen is very well appointed and the bathroom was well-stocked with everything needed. We will definitely try to stay here again when we visit. Thank you Sue and Derek for a great stay. We recommend this vacation rental. We hope to be back!

Pat/Idaho

  • 5 of 5

This cottage was an oasis away from home! My husband & I were on a business trip which was filled with stressful days however each evening we were able to come back to this little piece of paradise instead of a sterile boring hotel room. I just wish we would have had more time to relax & enjoy the ambience a bit more. Bring some bug spray for the little no-see-ems (sp?) that love the little garden. Thank you so much Sue! We will definitely be back if there is any time left as this little gem is becoming well known for its very reasonable price, lovely owners, and quaint/comfortable setting.

Private and cosy cottage for two...

  • 4 of 5

We spent on month in this delightful cottage and the owner was gracious while respecting our privacy. The property has a direct entrance from the alley into a private garden and the cottage. The house opens to the bedroom which also serves as a living room. It has two Victorian chairs but we found it more comfortable to watch TV and read in bed. The eat in kitchen and bathroom are good sized and there is a full sized washer and dryer. We walked to the village of Northwood often where there are many offerings such as free art lessons at the Creative Arts center. Several terrific restaurants and events. Of course about 2 miles away, WPB is a buffet of offerings. Be sure and take in the Sat. AM farmer's market, Citiplace, and Clematis St. And keep in mind that you are in an urban setting so always lock your vehicle.
