A slice of Paradise
We have just come back from the most wonderful weekend at Bilyana. The location is majestic with an abundance of wildlife on your doorstep. We traveled with two young children who loved climbing rocks and trekking around looking for animals. The house is beautifully presented with comfortable beds and big soft towels. The view over the valley to the snow capped peaks is sensational and being city folk, I don't think we have ever seen that many stars.
The fire was alight when we arrived which was a lovely touch. Close enough to Jindabyne and the skifields but far enough away to escape any noise and commotion. 2 nights wasn't long enough, we can't wait to return to this slice of paradise. Thank you to Clinton and Toni who went above and beyond to make our stay a memorable one.
A charming spot!
Utterly mellow vibe, and kid friendly
Toni and Clinton!
Thank you so much for the warmth and kindness you showed us. We came to the house over the long weekend and the house was just fabulous! The fact that it had everything and the unforgettable view is nothing compared to the support we got from you both. It was so nice of you to contact us prior to our arrival to make sure everything is exactly as we needed, thank you for advising us of the best routes to the property or how to utilize our short (3 days) stay in the region.
This trip was incredible! Thank you!
Fantastic house with all you need!
Clinton and Toni have been very welcoming and super kind to us, they have offered a lot of information before and during out stay to make planning and enjoying the place as best as possible.
We loved the isolated location of the house and the house itself offers all you need for a home away from home plus the amazing view over the mountains. We wished we could have stayed longer.
I booked this property for the weekend for my family 2 adults and my 3 boys we arrived to a beautiful property that was warm and inviting. My children instantly wanted to explore and the place outdoors was very safe for them to do so. It was quiet and peaceful and were able to spend quality time as a family with no distractions. Toni & Clinton we’re very helpful when booking and more. We definitely will be back.
Thank you very much for your lovely review; it is much appreciated by us. We noticed that you live in Camden and I thought you might like to know a little bit of my family history associated with your lovely home area. My original ancestor Thomas Tollis arrived, as a member of the NSW Corps, in 1797. His first daughter, Elizabeth, was born in 1799 in Sydney, and was one of Australia's first "currency lasses" (ie free born female Australians). She became a governess in Camden during her youth and married the son of a ship's captain in Parramatta, officiated at by the famous/infamous Rev. Samuel Marsden on Christmas Day in 1815. Her married name was Elizabeth Hansen. She then left her employer's home in Camden and sailed to the Bay of Islands in New Zealand. She and her husband were the the first non missionary white settlers in New Zealand. Their daughter Hannah is the first white born child in NZ; a Norfolk Pine planted at her birth in 1817 still stands on National Trust land. She and her husband Thomas both lived long lives into their seventies and Elizabeth had 11 children who all lived long lives in the North Island of NZ. Hansen descendants still live in NZ, one of whom, serendipitously, is a friend of mine before I became aware of the history. With our kind regards, Clinton and Toni
