We loved our stay, the house was a wonderful home in a great neighborhood! We'll gladly be back!
Upon a recommendation from a friend, we stayed at this gorgeous home for a family member’s milestone birthday. When we opened the front door, all we could say was WOW! The décor is classic and fun. The floor plan is open and airy. Not to mention that it is stocked with so many amenities, we felt at home within minutes. The kids went crazy for all the board games and the Ping Pong table. We spent most of our time having a blast in the pool. Took a ride or two on the Beach Cruisers. If you must go out for drinks, the Riviera is fabulous and you are just a couple minutes from Downtown as well. Honestly we wouldn’t have left the house if it we weren’t celebrating a milestone birthday. There simply is no need. I would absolutely recommend this home to anyone who wants an A+ experience in Palm Springs. I’ve found my new “Go To” Palm Springs Rental for a relaxing staycation or another trip with the family!
An absolutely lovely stay. Very well-maintained and tasteful, this re-modelled, open, mid-century house was perfect for my week or so in Palm Springs. Gorgeous pool, spa hot-tub, and a wonderful fire pit were all delightful. It also had a bright, spacious modern kitchen and lots of accessories/amenities, including a ping pong table, bikes and a whole bunch of pool floats. The property manager, Mike, was always available if/when needed, but the home was totally private. I can't recommend it highly enough.
If you're looking for a relaxing Palm Springs vacation - look no further. This house has everything you'll need and is within biking distance (bikes provided) to most of the Palm Spring attractions. That assumes you'll want to leave the backyard pool or the ping pong table in the garage.
We had four adults and two children (ages 3 and 1) stay here very comfortably (must be something about that open mid-century design).
Two friends and I stayed in the house for two glorious weeks! There was plenty of room for three (each had a bedroom), but we spent most of our time in the goregous backyard swimming, sunning and relaxing! The house is beatifully appointed in the mid-century modern style with an inviting and open design. Racquet Club Estates is a quick drive to the downtown area, and close to Hwy 10. From our door, it was a quick drive to the Desert Hills Premium Outlet Malls. Favourite things to do in Palm Springs: hiking (Joshua Tree National Park and the Coachella Reserve), College of the Desert flea market, restaurants (Bill's Pizza, Lulu's California Bistro). But, our absolute favourite thing to do was to chill by the pool with a nice cool drink! I would highly recommend this home to anyone who is looking for privacy in a beautiful, well-kept property.
This house was such an incredible find! For my 30th birthday, I planned a quick Palm Springs getaway with a small group of friends. My birthday lands on Labor Day weekend, which made planning a bit difficult, but I was fortunate enough to book this house. The house was styled with mid-century inspired furniture, yet it was incredibly comfortable and clean. For those that enjoy cooking, the house provides all the utensils and plates you may need and the grill is great and easy to use. The pièce de résistance is the backyard. We lounged by the pool during the day, and had cocktails by the hot tub at night. I absolutely loved this home, and I would definitely book this property again in the future. The managers were very friendly and easy to work with, and the home was a very reasonable price for all of the amenities. I honestly couldn't think of a better place to spend my birthday.
We really enjoyed our stay at this property. This was our first time visiting Palm Springs (other than a day trip to the Tram nearly 10 years ago) so it was great to have a full week to explore all that it has to offer. We loved it and we loved this rental house.
We have several friends who have homes in PS and/or visit frequently so had good recommendations of things to do, but in addition to what the owners had in the house for “Recommendations of Owners and/or Guests”, which had many places we visited, we would add:
• Spencer’s, at the Tennis Club. Hands down the best quality of food we had in all of Palm’s Springs.
• Elmer’s. Diner-like with a huge, eclectic menu. Only location in all of California. Fun, affordable, must try.
Outside of Town:
• Heading to Joshua Tree? Have lunch at the Crossroads Café in Joshua Tree. Funky, saloon-like interior, but great food and menu, including creative vegetarian options. Really enjoyed it.
The house was so clean and neat when we arrived. The location great as it was so quiet, had a great park for our dog only one block away and was very easy to get to town and then get out of town, so to speak. We hope to stay again!
Things to consider for future renters: bath soaps, shampoo, laundry detergent…even if just travel size options. Otherwise, the house was equipped with what we needed. Thanks again! :)
Enjoy your private retreat or explore other local desert activities: Hiking, Golfing, shopping, Wonderful restaurants, Local spas, art/music.
Palm Springs is seeing an explosion of new restaurants and shops -- On the north end of town has become a hot spot to see and be seen. Some of our favorites are Trio and Jakes, both offer seating outside, too. The new Workshop restaurant is making waves all over the world for it's stunning international chic decor. Fabulous furniture and shops make it exciting adult entertainment:) The famous Trini Turk boutique and farther down, we love Zin and Lulu's is always a fun Palm Springs vibe.
The Happy Hour at Kaiser in the large bar area offers a bargain of wonderful dishes and great deals on drinks. One of our new favs is Tinto at the Saguaro Hotel -- Just divine to sit out under their huge cabana by the pool for delicious morsels to delight the senses. Minutes away from downtown with many wonderful restaurants, shops and galleries.
Participate locally: If you arrive by Thursday, the Palm Springs' downtown area 'Village Fest' on Palm Canyon Drive is transformed into a bustling street fair...Artists, craftsmen, food vendors, musicians and entertainers are there to entertain. Stock up on local farm veggies/fruit or enjoy some great people watching.
Also experience, on Friday from 4pm to 9pm, 'First Friday On North Palm Canyon' (every month, year-round), between Tachevah and Amado Road, featuring entertainment, food and fun, where more than 50 antique furnishings and art stores remain open into the late evening.
* Local Area activities: Palm Springs' Aerial Tram, Jeep Tours, Water Park, Spa Facilities, Galleries, Museums, Theaters, IMAX.
* Nearby: Joshua Tree National Monument, Cabazon Outlet Mall.
* Two hours to: Orange County (Disneyland, Universal Studios and beaches), San Diego (Zoos, Sea World, Legoland), Lake Arrowhead (sightseeing and shopping), or Big Bear (skiing).
Hike: Miles of hiking trails are within a 1/4-mile walking distance from the house and there are trails with mountain access at the wash at the end of our cul de sac. Great hiking trails include: Palm Canyon, Murray Canyon, Tahquitz Canyon and multiple trails off the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. Also stroll through Moorten's Botanical Garden less than a 1/4-mile from the property.
For Tennis enthusiasts, nearby Ruth Hardy Park has 8 courts in prime condition. No charge for use of the courts to play.
