I purchased this as a second home in 2003. As a recent widower I now spend more time with my children and grandchildren and have decided to make this available for the first time as a vacational rental to others on a part time basis
Chris Ford purchased this house in 2003
I love to golf and had already joined Dunedin Golf Club. When this home became available directly on the golf course I convinced my wife that it was the place for us. I love being able to step out my back door and just tee it up. particularly during the sunset hours when one can have the course virtually to themselves.
Living at the Dunedin Golf Club has many benefits. You do not have to be a member to play (although you must pay greens fees) and the restaurant is available to all. Also we love being so close to 'Delightful Downtown Dunedin' with its regular events and fantastic restaurants as well as to Palm Harbor.
A beautiful house, in a great location. We thoroughly enjoyed it. We relaxed outside our bedroom door, near the hot tub and overlooking the golf course. Very peaceful and quiet. Five minute walk to a renowned designer golf club that is open to the public. There are several other courses nearby that are also open to the public. This is an ideal location for a golf vacation. There is also a large pool (unheated) which will be ideal in warmer weather.
The house was well equipped, beautifully furnished and spotless. A high quality cable TV, a Bose Sound System with an iPad and Pandora. Stainless/granite kitchen with microwave, dishwasher, Keurig coffee maker and all the cookware and utensils. Bicycles were available – there is a terrific bike path near by—as were an assortment of golf clubs for use by the guests.
In the evenings we sat and enjoyed the fire. And there is an outdoor grille available, although we didn’t use it. There are a number of great restaurants in nearby downdown Dunedin. And there are a number of beaches and state and county parks within a short driving distance.
Our host was gracious, helpful and informative.
Although there were only two of us, this house would be ideal for two couples.
We had a great stay at the house while our home was being renovated. Large and comfortable home in quiet neighborhood. Fantastic location with plenty of activities. Minutes from delightful downtown Dunedin. Owner was responsive and easy to work with throughout our stay. Wonderful place to call home.
Beautiful house with plenty of room. View out to pool and golf course is outstanding; just like the pictures show. Nicely furnished with ample supplies. March is start of pollen season so expect a lot of leaves in pool even with weekly pool care. Owner very cooperative and responded quickly to our questions and requests. We would rent this house again.
the house was a very wonderful experience. I would do it again in a second.
the pool and the hot tub were in beautiful condition and we used them every day.
the ipod and the wifi that were provided were very helpful.
the bicycles got used every day also.
I cant think of any way the house could have been any better.
my wife and I had our sons and daughter in law and our baby grandson, and the washer and dryer came in very handy, as well as the baby seat, wagon and stroller.
the owner even left a state park pass for us to use, which we did 3 times. everything about the experience was fantastic and I would recommend it very highly.
We truly enjoyed our stay, house was clean, well maintained, very relaxing sitting by the pool. We would not hesitate to stay again.
I went to Dunedin with my Mother and Father in law, my wife and my two and a half year old daughter. We absolutely loved everything this property had to offer. The house was well stocked with everything we needed and was very close to the Dunedin causeway, Honeymoon and Caladesi island. It's also conveniently located close to the grocery stores and most everything else you could want. The pool was FANTASTIC and was our favorite thing about the trip. The whole back of the house opens up to a nice patio to the pool and hot tub and both face one of the fairways on the beautiful golf course. The pool has a safety screen that is easily installed so you don't have to worry about your children around the pool. The inside has two very nice bedrooms with a bathroom in each. It also has a very nice kitchen that is nicely equipped. This place is everything you need to have a wonderful vacation. We really hope to stay again next year.
I had the pleasure of vacationing in this lovely home in January. I had never spent much time in this area but found that it has something for everyone
The home lends itself to easy and relaxed living. The kitchen which is upgrades with granite and stainless steel opens to a big room complete with capable TV and a Bose sound system. This then opens to another living area which includes a dining table and sitting area with a fireplace. This all overlooks a beautiful pool area complete. With table, chairs, lounge chairs and a hot tub. Beyond this is a view of the golf course. All is accessible thru a series of glass sliders which brings the outside in.
If you're a golfer the course is open to you. If you're a walker, jogger or would prefer to ride a bicycle (which are in the garage) there is a lovely path which brings you downtown once there you have many options for dining and shopping within driving distance are great restaurants with water views, movie theaters and more shopping. Take in Tampa Bay and Honeymoon Island for beautiful beaches and sunsets.
I would recommend this property to family and friends the owner is gracious and full of ideas and information to add to your vacation experience.
