About caron mac eoin

I am a New Zealander married to an Irishman, we have lived in France 13 years. I work for Sotheby's Real Estate while Finn, my husband, works for the Savannah School of Art and Design which has a campus here in Lacoste

caron mac eoin purchased this apartment in 2007

Why caron mac eoin chose Luberon

Lacoste is an authentic Luberon village overlooking the valley that is a picture in all seasons. Close to all amenities and cultural events, yet peaceful. Real French village life. The apartment is private and has a great view.

What makes this apartment unique

Always the view, the light and the authenticity. Lacoste is NOT home to tourist boutiques and buses dropping off their loads for a whistle stop tour. It is gentle and relaxed

Amazing apartment, location and hosts!

  • 5 of 5

Just like all the previous reviews have stated, this apartment is everything you see in the pictures and more. For starters, Finn and Caron couldn't be more pleasant, easygoing. Finn is a wealth of local knowledge and quite a poet, character. The apartment is spotless and well laid out. The terrace view is amazing. Parking can be tough because of few spots, but we managed just fine. The road noise can be loud at times on the terrace, but inside is very quiet. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Second time as good as the first!

  • 5 of 5

Sometimes when one returns to a place a second time it doesn’t quite live up to the memories and expectations one has of it. However, our second stay at Caron and Finn’s apartment was just as wonderful as the first.

The apartment remains perfectly located for exploring the Luberon. It was again very quiet, very clean, and furnished with everything we needed to be comfortable. Caron and Finn were still the gracious hosts available with information, insights and stories of the area. And the terrace with the amazing view was still a wonderful place to start and end the day ... with a cup or coffee or a glass of wine.

We suggest you come and try this apartment for yourself.

Amazing property and view

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful and memorable stay at this apartment. The view of the valley below and the neighbouring hill town of Bonnieux is exceptional. The apartment was very comfortable and clean, and was very quiet for sleeping. In all, it was very charming including the town of Lacoste itself. It was fascinating to stay in such an ancient location which did not have a touristy feel while we where there. The location was just right for touring around the Luberon and beyond. The hosts' helpful and friendly ways really added to the experience. The rental process and the stay itself all went very smoothly. This property is really one of a kind.

Best Holiday Rental I've ever stayed in

  • 5 of 5

I've travelled extensively and stayed in many different types of accommodation but this apartment has to be my favourite so far. The place is full of charm and the view from this terrace is just amazing. You could sit reading outside or having a drink and don't feel the need to do anything even though there's plenty of things to see and do nearby. Caron and Finbarr were amazing hosts, thank you guys!

Wow, what a view!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed every minute of our week spent at Caron and Finn’s apartment. It was clean, spacious yet cozy, with a very comfortable bed and hot shower. The kitchen was obviously outfitted by someone who enjoys cooking or at least knows what a cook might want. SHARP knives and a salad spinner and a better carrot/potato peeler than the one at home! With the wifi access we could catch up on news back home if we wanted or listen to music when we just wanted to kick back and relax.

But for us the highlight of the apartment was the the terrace. The view across the valley was indeed stunning at any time of the day but especially at dawn. We sipped our morning coffee and listened to the birds serenade us as we waited for the sun to peek over the hills. Definitely something we’ve tucked away into our memory banks until we can return again.

For us Lacoste was a perfect location from which to explore the Luberon and enjoy some hiking. There are lots of great trails marked with yellow signs and Finn and Caron will give you additional tips. They are friendly, helpful hosts who live above, thus easily accessible if help is needed.

Give this apartment a try. We don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

Perfect stay in Lacoste

  • 5 of 5

I can't imagine a better place to stay, or better hosts (in Caron and Finn), than this lovely flat in the heart of the Luberon. Lacoste is beyond charming, full of quirky history and forgotten nooks, and just outside the beaten path. As a home base for exploring the Luberon, you can do no better. But be forewarned: the flat is so cozy and well-equipped, and the view from the private terrace over the vineyards and fields toward Bonnieux so idyllic, that it's very tempting just to stay put.
