About John Reardon
I grew up in Northampton Massachusetts, a town with countless beautiful old homes and lots of woods. I spent countless days in my youth building tree forts never knowing that those 2 dynamics would intersect at this point. Upon arriving in San Diego with an interest in building and purchasing real estate, I became immediately interested in the largely neglected Victorian buildings in this area of town. This property became a labor of love for me many years ago and I hope that legacy will be carried forward by my 3 sons. My wife if Japanese, so our family often divides our time between 2 very different worlds, both with much to offer.
John Reardon purchased this Condo in 1991

Very nice property
Very clean well kept property; well stocked with necessities, and convenience items. The kitchen was a huge plus for our one week stay. Our host was available and gracious. Our unit was perfect for my wife and I. Our sofa was advertised as a hide-a- bed, and could accommodate an extra person, or perhaps children(s), but, the apartment is small and the bathroom is off the master bedroom!!
The location has both plus and minus. The plus to the location is that the property is near downtown, has easy access to public transportation and easy access to freeway. The negative side to this location is that with any older neighborhood, some properties are nicely renovated (like this one), others are so-so, but still others are not maintained. We were never able to park our rental vehicle in front of the property, but rather, we parked down the street, around the corner, and twice, in the next block. Of course, these later issues are beyond the control of our host. To our host and our unit, my wife and I give high marks, but any guests must be aware of their surrounding when walking after dark.
This is our second stay at Victorian House. The remodeling has kept the charm of the home and has added to the convenience of the stay. Really appreciated the clean washer and dryer unit as well.
Visiting family in SD
This is a clean and well furnished property. John is proactive in communication and very thorough.
This is a good unit for 2 people, well provisioned and quiet. We did not rent a car but used Uber and the fine San Diego transit system. Buy a Compass pass for $5.00 per day. This gives you any number of rides on bus or trolley. A number 4 or 5 bus stops just outside the unit. Take it to Park and Market where you can take a trolley to a number of stops.
The Amtrac train makes a nice day trip to SanJuan Capistrano. The Mission is worth a tour. There appear to be more homeless than our earlier trips but at no time did we feel unsafe. If it's you first trip to San Diego I suggest the Hop on Hop off bus.
Conveniently located vacation rental with everything you could need.
Super convenient location. Nice and quiet. The unit we had provided us with everything we needed. Owner was very helpful and very responsive both before and during our stay.
Extremely clean and very accommodating. Great communication with John. Able to walk to gas lamp district, Balboa park, Little Italy, the Bay Area to name a few.If you choose to Uber, 5-15 minutes away. Thank you John !!
