Portofino Condominiums is situated in the beautiful Lakewood community, a wonderful area for walking, cycling and golf. Our condo is conveniently located next to grocery stores (Fry’s, Safeway and Trader Joes) and many restaurants. The pool, spa, fitness centre and business centre are steps away from the condo.
Our condo is a fully furnished, main floor unit with two bedrooms and two full bathrooms, with a view of the lake and sunsets outside the front door. It sleeps 4 comfortably, and 6 with a pull out sofa bed in the living room. Details include the following:

We are close to the I10 and 202 highways, providing easy access to Sky Harbor and Gateway airports (20 minutes from each). We are 5 minutes away from the new Phoenix Premium Outlets and close to Chandler Fashion Mall and other major retail stores (IKEA, Furnishings, Electronics, Linens). The South Mountain Natural Reserve and park provides several great hiking trails and is moments away. Ahwatukee provides easy access to all that the Valley of the Sun has to offer- golf, spring training, hockey, hiking, sight seeing and casinos.

We purchased this property for personal use as a winter get away. All four of us are retired and we appreciate all that Phoenix has to offer. Ken and Tim love to golf and there are plenty of courses nearby. Retha and Katie love to shop, and we all enjoy hiking South Mountain.
Location is key! You can walk to the grocery store and restaurants in minutes, take a jog around the beautiful Lakewood area and enjoy sunsets from our front door. We are a few minutes from the I10 and 202 which gives you access to everything else Phoenix has to offer.
The previous reviews truly describe how wonderful this condo is! My husband and I rented in March and part of April and loved everything about it - the lovely décor, the fully equipped kitchen, extra supplies for the bathrooms and laundry room, and the great location within the complex (so close to the main pool, fitness center, and recreation room). The owners, Tim, Katie, Ken, and Retha, were on-site to make sure everything was going well and in the process became friends we so enjoyed getting to know during our stay. In past years we have rented in other parts of the Phoenix area but have settled into this complex because of its wonderful location. From the access to shopping and dining within walking distance to the ease in reaching freeways to other parts of the Phoenix area makes this condo a great place to spend a holiday and enjoy all that Phoenix has to offer. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
My family and I truly enjoyed our time at this condo. We stayed there for over a month while our home was being remodeled. It was very nicely decorated, clean and fully stocked with everything from q-tips to pool towels. The condo is in a great location by a fabulous lake and there is parking directly in front of the door. The condo is close to stores, restaurants, movies and other local attractions. I would highly recommend staying here.
My family and I can't say enough wonderful things about this condo!! It was even better than the listing and it exceeded the photos. Covered parking was just steps from the door & there was a great view of the lake just across the street. The equipment room, the pool, spa & business office with computer & printer were just steps away. The property is not only beautifully decorated, but is furnished with absolutely every detail you might want. Wi-Fi, a/c, high ceilings, flat screen TV, living room hide-a-bed, beautiful linens, over-equipped kitchen, free local & long distance phone, plus many other comfortable provisions. Everything was spotlessly clean & well maintained. Two of the four owners met us when we arrived and the other two owners were onsite and quick to respond to our question about an outside overflow valve drip (which was performing as it should). There was a very helpful notebook on the premises that listed all the nearby shops, restaurants, etc. which was very very helpful. The property has a walk-through to a multitude of nearby facilities, which we used extensively. Trader Joe's, Fry's, Safeway, Purple Skirt, Safeway, Arriba's Restaurant were some of the businesses we used. In total, this property is a marvelous example of what VRBO properties should all aspire to....very very friendly helpful owners you would be proud to list as friends. I was there for the month of March, with my four adult children and their spouses joining me for a week each. We all enjoyed the wonderful neighborhood walks around the lake, the two pools (one heated). spa, AZ sunshine, awesome accommodations, etc. etc. Yes, my eight roommates and I would heartily recommend this property to anyone who can find it available.
