Overview

Gatlinburg Cabin Rental Photos and Description

2 Bedroom. Spectacular Panoramic View. Close To All Attractions. sleeps 6-8

Forget "room with a view". Brigadoon II is a whole cabin with year-round panoramic vistas! Snow-capped Smoky Mountains in the winter, rich shades of green in the spring, full foliage in the summer, and a kaleidoscope of browns, reds, oranges and yellows in the fall. In fact, the views are so amazing, local event planners recommend our cabin for weddings. If it’s good enough for a bride on her special day, you know it's something special!

Get in full vacation mode as you gather around the fire pit for s'mores, curl up with a good book in one of the deck rocking chairs or soak in the private hot tub, letting the bubbles wash away your worries. Nothing beats relaxing on the second-story covered deck, quietly watching a storm roll in through the mountains.

If sitting still isn't on the agenda for the kids, they can run and play in the large, flat yard or try a round of horseshoes. At night, they can do a little stargazing from the deck telescope, looking for planets and stars in the night sky.

The interior offers beauty too, with paintings from local artists, hardwood floors, a stone stacked fireplace and elegant décor. On the second floor, the cathedral wall of glass opens up to nothing but treetops, mountains and expansive sky. You might even be able to see the far-off waterfall in the distance. As you glance out the windows, one day you might be above the clouds, and the next, below them.

Whether you’re traveling with the whole family, your best girl or guy friends, or looking for some alone time as a couple, Brigadoon II has plenty of room for everyone. The first bedroom sits on the main floor and offers a king bed and full bathroom next door with bathtub and attached shower. On the second floor, the second bedroom features a queen bed with en-suite full bathroom. If a few extra guests decide to join you, a queen sofa sleeper sleeps two more on the main level. The loft area has two single pull-out chairs that are ideal for the little ones to sleep on and dream the night away.

While the 180-degee views are enough to make you completely forget about the outside world, if you do need to reconnect, the cabin has excellent Wi-Fi. Once the sun sets behind the gorgeous mountains, it's time for a little friendly competition. See who reigns as champion at the second-floor loft pool table or raid the large board game collection and see who comes out on top during family game night. If you're looking for a more laid-back night, curl up in front of the 55-inch flat screen television with sound bar and large DVD collection.

Whether you're a gourmet cook, or just need to get the natives fed, the fully-stocked kitchen has everything you'll need to prep meals. Or, you can keep it super simple and fire up the large gas or charcoal grills outside. Just don't get so lost in the views that you burn the burgers! Call everyone in to dine around the large dining room table, or head to the outdoor table with the magical Smokies providing a picturesque backdrop for your meal.

Tear yourself away from the remarkable amenities of Brigadoon II and explore nearby Smoky Mountain National Park, Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. You’re a quick drive to Stoplight #3 in downtown Gatlinburg, where you can easily reach Ober Gatlinburg, Ripley’s Aquarium and lots of other things to see and do. You’ll also be treated to some of the best breakfast in the county with delicious restaurants and cafes dotting the main drag, serving up your favorite morning meals all day long.

Whilst the views are incredible and the amenities second-to-none, our owner-rented property also offers a little something else to make your stay special—personalized attention and attention to detail. Visit us for yourself to experience a "Touch of Magic in the Smokies" at Brigadoon II.

Looking for additional cabins/bedrooms, please check out our other three cabins, Brigadoon III(624459), Brigadoon IV (788300) and Brigadoon I(455378).

About Debbie Rainford - Owner/property manager

My husband and I both grew up in England and moved to the United States (the Cincinnati area) over 20 years ago. We have always enjoyed vacationing in the Smoky Mountains and have been repeat visitors with our family for many years. We have stayed at many cabin locations throughout the region and were delighted when we were able to purchase this cabin which is located in our favorite location of all - the Arts and Craft area of Gatlinburg.

Debbie Rainford - Owner/property manager purchased this cabin in 2013

Why Debbie Rainford - Owner/property manager chose Tennessee

We have a lot of experience as vacation tenants of many other cabins and as such have provided what we consider to be the best of all worlds into our own cabin to ensure a memorable experience for our visitors. We feel a combination of rustic charm, combined with all the modern amenities such as HDTV's, WiFi and Internet, Pool Table, Spa, Gas and a charcoal grill and well equipped kitchen. The area Brigadoon II is situated in is quiet and peaceful, but very accessible to local shops (food city is 5 minutes away) and attractions. The location of our cabin was also critical. It is only 5 minutes from Gatlinburg light #3 and sits on it's own private grassed lot with spectacular views of the Smokey Mountains. The cabin is located at the end of a quiet paved road that is easily accessible. The sunrises and sunsets over the mountains should not be missed from the beautiful solid log rocking chairs. Access to local shops are a short drive away and of course the National Park, Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge or all within easy reach.

What makes this cabin unique

Our genuine log cabin is located above the famous Arts & Crafts Community of Gatlinburg. Here you will find the local artists and craftsmen shops where you can actually see them working on their art. Our cabin enjoys ever changing panoramic views of the Great Smoky Mountains and also enjoys a private lot with ample flat parking and a grass area with a fire pit and grill. It is only minutes to light #3 and is within the Gatlinburg City Limits. It is convenient to Pigeon Forge and all the attractions it has to offer.

Great cabin in a beautiful setting

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was very clean, roomy and we'll set up with all the comforts of home. Incredible view of the mountains and nice quiet area. We would definitely return. There is so much to see and do in the area or just relax at the cabin and do nothing.

Great time in Gatlinburg

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay at Brigadoon II! The house was super clean, and all the amenities were super! We spent our mornings hiking Grotto Falls and Clingman's Dome, and our afternoons floating along the Little Pigeon River. Evenings were perfect for stargazing and listening to cicadas on the porches. A perfect spot for 2 couples wanting some adventure and easy living! Thanks for a great stay Debbie!

Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed in many cabins in the Smokies. Our favorite area is the Arts and Crafts Community. This cabin was easy to get to and easy parking. The cabin was the cleanest one we've stayed in. It's beautiful and comfortable. The fire pit was a great addition. It's fully stocked. Debbie was amazing to work with. She even sent a text to check on us. We came with another couple and they loved it as well. Amazing view!!! This is the first cabin that I can say I will stay in again!

Owner's Response: Thank you Kim. You touched on all the reasons we chose (and love) Brigadoon II. Having a clean cabin is paramount and I will certainly pass on your compliments to our cleaning crew. I am delighted that we are the first cabin you would return to, thank you.

Everything was great, from the cabin, to the view, to the surroundings. The cabin was well kept, clean, perfect sized, and very well centered.

Owner's Response: Thank you Danae for your 5* review. Being close to Galtinburg but still 'away from it all' surrounded by nature gives Brigadoon II an enviable location. The view of the Great Smoky Mountains and Mt.Leconte seems to change daily with the weather and also seasonally.

Notes:
There is so much to do in Gatlinburg and the surrounding area from river rafting and helicopter rides to dinner shows and mirror mazes! There are many beautiful hiking trails in the Smoky Mountain national park but see this great website for previews and advice http://www.hikinginthesmokys.com/. We particularly find those with waterfalls are always worth the walk to get there. We enjoy the outlet shopping at the Tanger Outlets in Sevierville and skiing and ice skating at Obergatlinburg during the winter. Close to our cabin we particularly enjoy visiting the Great Smoky Mountain Arts and Crafts community where you find local artists practicing their crafts as well as the opportunity to shop for unique items you do not get at home
