About Lydia Mennes
Pascal N, Norvegian of origin and artbroker, is the owner of the chateau, but FranceVilla, a small specialised agency run by Lydia and Thijs Mennes, based in the Netherlands, is taking care of the rental of the chateau in exclusivity for the owner. You can find more information on the Agency through their website Francevilla . nl
Lydia Mennes purchased this Castle in 2007
Why Lydia Mennes chose Milhac
Because the parents of Pascal used to live in this area for a long time and Pascal had the chance to buy the chateau and renovated the whole property since then. The chateau is located in one of the most beautiful parts of France, where life is good, food is good, wine is excellent and the scenery magnificent...

Dream come true
A fairytale castle with a homey comfort. Very rural and quiet, yet with everything you need nearby. Rated absolutely the best by those aged 7 - 80 years old. Exotic, beautiful, romantic, yet safe, comfortable (even air conditioned ) flexible and perfect for a family vacation. The pool was marvelous.
Impressive Castle with Modern Conveniences
All eight of us loved the Chateau Lotoise! While the exterior retains the medieval charm, the interior has been completely updated with modern appliances (the only clothes dryer we saw in all our European travels!) The views from the terrace are superb. Don’t miss having dinner at the small restaurant within walking distance in the village.
Thank you so much for posting your kind review!
We wish you all the best memories.
Kind regards, Thijs and Lydia Mennes
We had a wonderful stay at Chateau Lotoise. Our extended family (5 adults, 2 children) found everything we needed in the chateau. The croissant and bread from the local bakery were a delicious start to every day. We ventured out to the wonderful sites around the local countryside each day, then returned to our beautiful swimming pool and relaxing space in the chateau.
Thank you very much for your kind words!
We choose Chateau Lotoise as a dream Location to celebrate our Wedding there: And we are most happy to say, that our dream came true!
The Chateau appeared in reality even more beautiful then we imagined it and its certain magic kept us in wonder and breathless over the whole stay!
Absolutely everything about the Chateau and as well the area was just perfect and we already start planning our next stay there!
Best Wishes and thank you so much!!!

Wonderful Family Reunion in Historic Chateau
We had family coming together from numerous parts of the world and took the opportunity to rent this magnificent chateau in Milhac. The area provides loads to see and do along the Dorgogne River, with Castles, Forts and Caves. The House allowed for a fantastic point for everyone to come together and just enjoy fantastic grounds and views down the valley. The rooms are spacious, with tasteful decorations and furniture. The bathrooms modern and plentiful showers/baths. I would highly recommend this chateau to wedding parties, families and anyone who has a few families wishing to spend quality time together as it really has everything you need, with plenty of walking and biking, canoeing, all close by.
Thank you so much for this very nice review. We all do our best to give you the best service possible.

Just two of us for one week. It was a great place, great location. The countryside around Milhac is beautiful, and I would recommend the canoeing or kayaking from Grolejac or Domme. A special thank you to Lydia and the team for their help.
Thank you very much for reviewing the Castle, we are proud and happy we can rent out such a beautiful place,

Just down the road from magnificent sites and other famous chateaux like Chateau des Millandes, Beynac and Castelnaud, your own private Chateau is an ideal base for exploring the area. Find your way up to Domme, just minutes away, or to Sarlat to take part in their famous markets. The village of Daglan is minutes down the hill where you can find a daily supermarket, and a wonderful restaurant where you can dine outdoors while looking up at the Chateau. Wonderful walks through the Chateau’s private forest open out into hikes down the hill to the Céou river which runs from the Dordogne. Other restaurants and shopping opportunities abound with all the richness of the area's famous pre-history as well. Take a drive up to the Lascaux caves, or visit nearby Cahors for wine-tasting.
