About Tanguy Libbrecht
We moved to Alaska 24 years ago for a couple of years and never left! We have raised four Alaskan Kids here and love Seward and Alaska. You will too!
Tanguy Libbrecht purchased this House in 2015
Why Tanguy Libbrecht chose Seward
My wife and I purchased this home because we fell in love with its fascinating history, location and feel. We could imagine ourselves here in 1905 and wanted to restore and honor this important part of Seward and U.S. History. Right next to library and two blocks from the part and waterfront.
What makes this House unique
Views and walking distance to everything!, period decor, amazing views, proximity to the waterfront, charm and coziness.

Charming home in excellent location!
The home was clean and comfortable. The home was walking distance to downtown yet peaceful and quiet. Only minor complaint was the wi-fi was weak and spotty.
Lovely cottage on the shore
First, The telegraph house is really nice. Two bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen and a nice large modern bathroom. (with great water pressure and hot water - if you have ever done without those things, you notice their absence)
We were delighted with our stay in Seward. It is a really nice town. The SeaLife center was fun. Be sure to walk down to the docks for sea otter sightings. Ray's (down by the docks) was rather pricey, but good food. We were able to walk to everything that we wanted to do in Seward. I can't recommend this place enough. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The property was charming. Almost everything in it is in my Grandmothers house!
We loved the house. It's the upper level of a two story home with a separate and secure
entrance. Inside it has antiques and modern conveniences. My favorite was the double
wide antique cushioned rocker. We would definitely recommend and stay there again.
Very cute and clean, bed was comfy, and owner and caretaker could not have been nicer :)
Clean, comfortable and historic space
It was a great place to stay, close to everything in beautiful downtown Seward.
We spent very little time in the apartment because there was so much to see and do outside in the long hours of summer daylight. Would be a perfect place to stay with a young family as there was plenty of space besides sleeping space.
VIEWS ! Historic charm...modern comfort
The second story of the historic CABLE HOUSE has it all!
This bright and cheerful appartment offers water or mountain views from every room! It is very comfortable (we loved the new bathroom with big shower) and quiet.
Downtown restaurants, shops and the great Sealife Center are within a couple of minutes walk.
Perfect place for our family of 4.
This house is located in the heart of downtown, yet it is incredibly quiet. Great views and tremendous history presented in a fresh way. Lots of history on the walls, yet a brand new bathroom, beautiful wood floors, all new beds and bedding and plenty of amenities. Walk to coffee shops, Sealife Center, restaurants and local attractions.
