Perfect little cottage is located in Poipu.
The light kitchen has everything you need to create your meals. Comfortable living space with flat screen tv & blu-ray DVD player. The bedroom has a king size bed, vanity desk & stand up fans. Beach gear is in the beach hut @ first come first serve basis.
Walking distance from Kukui'ula shopping village. Which has many choices of shops and restaurants.
Cottage is located next to Poipu B&B and does not include B&B services.
We enjoy inviting visitors to the island of Kauai and to ensure an adventurous vacation. You will be amazed of what the island has to offer. Surfing, snorkeling, hiking,romantic sunsets, & my favorite Hawaiian cuisine. Kauai is a jewel we love to share.

Poipu Inn was built in the 1930's and is 1 of the last original plantation homes in Poipu.

The location is fabulous. Next to great dinner choices and a beautiful walk or quick drive to the beach. The kitchen is a kitchenette, there is no stove or oven and we like to have that when we stay. The cottage was very clean, and the bed cozy. The best thing about it is the location!!!
Kitchen: The description of the unit states that the kitchen has everything you need to make your meals, but this was not the case. There is not a stove top or oven, so when we flew in, we stopped at the store for all of our groceries and were surprised to find this out when we arrived. It would have made a world of difference if there was a hot plate. Some of our food went to waste, unfortunately, due to not being able to cook. We cooked as much as we could in the microwave (not ideal).
Property: The cottage shares the same property with a bed & breakfast, and was a bit confusing. When we wanted to go to the beach, there weren't any beach towels in the cottage.We were told we could get some from the bed & breakfast next door.
Bathroom: The bathroom is nice, but only one roll of toilet paper was provided for our 5 night stay. We had to purchase our own at the drug store around the corner. I didn't feel comfortable asking the owner. I was surprised they didn't have extra in a cupboard.
Other areas: The bedroom was comfortable, but there isn't an AC (which we expected). Thankfully they had 3 fans we could use, so that was great. Also, the couch is very uncomfortable to sit on. You definitely cannot lay on it. It's bulky and the cushions are small. We spent most of our time away from the cottage, but when we were there, we sat in the chairs at the dining room table. Also, there is a space between the bottom of the front door for lizards/bugs to come through. The door is also not private, so if you are sitting on the couch at night, anyone outside will be able to see right in. This is another reason I sat near the table.
The owners are quick to respond and friendly when I let them know the smoke alarm battery was chirping, but I didn't want to keep bothering them about the other stuff. I'd just recommend that they keep an extra supply of bath and beach towels along with toilet paper for future guests.
A beach to lay out on is a nice walk away and we didn't mind the walk as we were walking along side it. I think this place is priced a little high for what we experienced, but we had a blast on the island and just needed a place to sleep.If that's all you want, this place could work for you!

Why you’ll love it: With a live Chef’s demonstration and live Hawaiian music, plan on spending a few hours at this market. Held in the middle of the shopping center, you will find not only fresh fruit and produce, but freshly made soups, bakery items, lasagna, the pie lady, and grab and go food from the various restaurants. It’s not to be missed!
