Villa & 2 independent Studios with verandas + infinity pool sleep 2 persons each
Situated on a headland in a natural setting with stunning views over ocean and beaches, Two Bays has an infinity swimming pool and sun terrace overlooking Crochu Bay with gardens.
Elegant, romantic, relaxing, and comfortable, Two Bays Villa has a 100 ft. long shaded terrace wrapping itself around the Villa with swing seats. Deep enough to enjoy shade and relax to enjoy the fabulous views even when dining. It is private and not overlooked.
All rooms in Villa and Studios have very high ceilings and large ceiling fans to enhance the near perpetual breeze that cools Two bays siting 70 ft above the water.
The Villa bedroom has a King Size 4 poster bed with nets and opens onto the veranda with two 9ft. wide folding doors to enjoy the view when in bed. The large Villa sitting room, with a fully equipped kitchen for self-catering at one end, has two 9 ft. wide folding doors with adjustable wooden louvers opening onto the same veranda, giving outdoor living when inside the Villa.
The breeze off the sea is assisted by large ceiling fans and optional A/C in the bedroom when necessary.
The two large and separate Studios (which can be rented separately or joined in with the Villa) have shaded 19 ft. terraces which are not overlooked and either Queen and extra large King size (or 2 single) 4 poster beds with mosquito nets. There is optional A/C for when the ocean breezes and ceiling fans are not doing their job. Each Studio is fully set up for self-catering.
Each Studio has 9 ft. wide openings with folding wooden doors. From Two Bays terraces, views to Cabier beach, Cabier & Crochu Bays and ocean can be enjoyed from swing seats. Beautiful Cabier beach is 100 yards away.
There is a library in each unit together with guides and reference books and games compendiums plus loudspeakers for plugging in music devices. There is free WiFi with a strong signal.
Two Bays is run and fully serviced by Cabier Ocean Lodge which has Bruno's terrace restaurant and bar overlooking the ocean serving breakfast, lunch and dinner when you do not feel like self-catering. The Lodge has a massage facility with a visiting masseuse. You have full use of their facilities.
For anyone interested in the night sky Cabier is a must. On a clear night with little ambient light, thousands of stars fold round and over the top of the promontory. Lie on your back and wonder at the canopy of stars that surround you. At certain times of year major planets can be easily picked out and craters on the moon are clearly visible at stages of its growth. Lucky to be there with a full moon? Walk on Cabier’s white sand beach at low tide and be followed by a moon shadow.
Cabier beach is stunningly beautiful. It is how you imagine a Caribbean beach to be but often is not. Normally with hardly anyone on it; save a few local people come at the weekend or on major holidays, you can often have it virtually to yourself. With an offshore reef to protect the bay and beach, other than at the highest of tides, the water is normally as calm as in our photos and as clear. Perfect for swimming, as an alternative to the pool, with some snorkelling around the inner reef. Cabier Ocean Lodge supply beach chairs.
The whole beach is cleaned by the tide and the sand is really firm with an easy walk in to the sea. There is nothing behind the beach other than fields and cows with cattle egrets on them; and a distant view to the rain forest.
There are donkey safaris and walks along the headlands to other bays and individual tours to local attractions organised by Cabier Ocean Lodge if you do not want to drive.

About Nick Hamilton
We are a late middle aged professional couple living in Central London in England. We are property enthusiasts! We love restoring very old property that is run down and in need of alteration, rebuild, and refurbishment to a level of elegant comfort - it is a really enjoyable challenge for us. We have done this in London, and with holiday houses in France and the Canaries (visit www.hamiltonholidayhouses.com), Two Bays at Cabier presented us with a unique challenge. We had never ever built from scratch before on what was very much a greenfield site! We put all our experience of property rebuilding and renovation, and from what we had seen and experienced staying elsewhere in the world, into the design of the Villa and the two separate Studios. Everything from wide opening folding doors to remove the barrier of outside/inside (Vietnam), to being able to lie in your four poster bed naked and enjoy the view (!) (Tobago), high ceilings, with deep covered verandas that you can relax on if you want some shade (Tobago again) to name a couple of concepts put into Two Bays. We loved building Two Bays in such a special place and visit twice a year. When we are not there - it is available to you to come and enjoy.
Nick Hamilton purchased this Apartment in 2010
Why Nick Hamilton chose Saint Andrew
We have travelled extensively over the years, but for the Caribbean we have always come back to Grenada as our favourite Caribbean island. Why? Because the island is so beautiful and welcoming as well as relaxed with old world manners. We have tried hard to find somewhere else to beat it since we both first visited. Coincidentally both separately - me hitching boats up the Caribbean travelling back from South America and my wife as a student in the USA – both in the late 60s / early 70s. We both fell in love with the island and its people and returned many times since. Why did we build Two Bays at Cabier? We stayed at Cabier the first time in 2008 purely by chance. We were staggered how natural and beautiful it is when we woke up on the first morning and looked across Cabier bay. A couple of days later floating in the water off Cabier beach my wife said - looking back at the promontory on which Two Bays now stands - 'if I was going to build anywhere in the world it would be there, but only if it would be looked after by Cabier Ocean Lodge and be attached to the hotel'. At breakfast Cabier's hotel book revealed a plot for sale ...... the rest is history. Construction started in April 2009 and our first visitors arrived January 2010. Building and fitting out nearly 4000 miles away - that is whole other story! We added the infinity pool overlooking Crochu Bay in 2011. We built Two Bays because we love beautiful Cabier, its sense of tranquillity, the natural environment and an amazing safe beach protected by the offshore reef with warm silky water and firm sand. All this with a warm welcome at Cabier Ocean Lodge (you become part of the 'Cabier family' during your stay) plus a bar and restaurant overlooking the ocean on your doorstep, it is a wonderful combination for a really relaxing holiday. Do come and experience the magic, natural beauty and tranquillity of Cabier for yourself - we would like to share it with you!
What makes this Apartment unique
We built Two Bays to be somewhere which would link to the natural environment as much as possible but still give those staying elegant comfort. Both Villa and the Two Studios have their own deep shaded verandas which are private. The swing seats allow you to relax and gently rock to and fro looking at the stunning views from the elevated position on the promontory between Cabier and Crochu Bays. If you want to sit inside then the 9ft wide opening folding doors allow you to be connected to the outside while inside. The hardwood doors have wooden adjustable louvers so that you can catch the breezes that are a feature of Cabier and Two Bays position. There are large ceiling fans and high ceilings to maximise the cooling comfort with A/C in the bedrooms if really needed. The four poster beds are fully netted so the natural breezes can be enjoyed at night. All furniture and doors /windows are in sustainable hardwood. The Villa and the two separate Studios each sleep two persons and are completely independent, but can be joined together for parties of 3 - 6 persons. The infinity pool overlooking Crochu Bay and the ocean is completely private to Two Bays and has a sun terrace. Combined with Cabier beach, the pool and garden gives wonderful choices of what to do not very much on a very relaxed slow day!

Unique and stylish Plantation House apartments
Peace and tranquility in a comfortable environment
Really pleased our guests had such a great time at Two Bays and Cabier. It really is to experience the Caribbean as it was before mass tourism and to get to know the delightful local staff at Cabier. After a couple of Iris's cocktails you really do not want to walk too far.
I will check the comment about no occasional table in Beachside as when we were there in August there was one. Beachside is used on occasion as joined accommodatioon with the Villa and its veranda table might have "walked" to the Villa veranda. Cabier staff will sort it out.

A perfect retreat.
The property was all we had hoped for and more!
Restorative and Real
Sheer Luxury
Location
What to do in “Spice Island” Grenada: Many of our guests find their day starts to fill up once they have had a swim in the warm sea, lie on a beach lounger, and sit on their veranda in one of the swing seats or around the pool reading a good book. The more energetic can enjoy snorkelling in the sheltered waters round the headland or strolling along the paths that wind around the coast either guided or not. Nature lovers can see pelicans, frigate birds, egrets, herons and the occasional osprey fishing as well as humming birds, doves and butterflies in the garden without stirring from their veranda. There are local knowledgeable guides who organise trips to the magnificent rainforest that covers much of central Grenada, to see waterfalls, beautiful flowers, birds, butterflies, monkeys. Even though you are supposed to be really chilling out and winding down Cabier style (the locals call it limin’) - you may be tempted to do a little inter-island visiting using the hydrofoil up to the neighbouring Grenadine islands of Carriacou and Petite Martinique or perhaps a day on a catamaran sailing up the coast, or diving Grenada’s reefs, all of which can be organised by Cabier. Perhaps have a day in St George's just wandering around the beautiful harbour with its shops, restaurants and market and taking in its history through its historic forts guarding the harbour. Bruno at Cabier organises tours to the rainforest with waterfall swimming as well as to the other main attractions on the island, nutmeg plantations, cocoa estate at Belmont and the Seven Rivers Rum distillery – where they still use 18th century methods and a water wheel to produce their rum. Carnival is the first week of August. It is colourful, noisy with bands and exuberant with hundreds of locals parading and dancing in bizarre costumes to loud Soca music around the harbour front with a day and night parade Midnight Mass watched by locals and visitors alike - and of course lots of local food and drink. It is a stunningly beautiful island with friendly locals who like to chat. Hire a car (Cabier will arrange - minimum 3 days hire – delivered to Cabier or picked up at airport) and go and explore the spectacular interior and coasts. Shop in the markets for local produce to tempt you to cook and buy spices, which make great gifts. Driving is not difficult in Grenada and most places of interest in Grenada are within a 1 – 2 hour drive. Other Activities: Nearest diving centre is 40 minutes away / Golf is 45 minutes away
