This Town Home accommodates up to 6 People and is centrally located.

Our comfortable, well-appointed town home sleeps up to 6 people and is two blocks from public transportation (Lake Street 'L') to downtown Chicago. The Metra train station is five blocks away and offers easy access to downtown Chicago and western suburbs beyond Oak Park. The home is within easy walking distance to the Frank Lloyd Wright District and the many shops, restaurants, parks, theaters, and churches that make Oak Park very special.

The home is part of a five unit town house complex, has a private entrance from the street, consists of three levels, and has an attached car port. The first level has a living area, dining area, a kitchen, and powder room. Two bedrooms and two full baths are located on the second level; the master bedroom has a king bed and ensuite full bath (shower only); the guest bedroom has two twin beds and an adjacent full bath (shower/ tub combination). The third level is a den/ bedroom with a trundle bed for one or two people, and an adjacent outdoor deck.

The home is equipped with three HDTVs and full-house internet. The kitchen has all the standard kitchen stuff. There is central air conditioning and heating. The second level has an upright washer and dryer. There is no land line telephone; we use cell phones.

Overall, the property is clean and well maintained in a great location.

The location is the best feature of the property. A short walk to the L train and be in downtown Chicago in 15 to 20 minutes. Within two to three blocks there are a few of amazing restaurants (Maya Del Sol, Citrine and Cucina Paradiso). The beds were comfortable with plenty of space, particularly in the master. The 2 1/2 baths were clean and well lighted. Our grand children appreciated the books and puzzles left in the living room; a very nice touch. Areas for improvement include:

1) A larger central air conditioning unit would help cool the third floor better.

2) Many of the cups and dishes were chipped. You might consider replacing.

3) For our purposes it was a bit pricey, because it was only the two of us most of the time.

Overall, we would recommend the property. The owners (Woods) are terrific and very helpful.

Absolutely Fantastic!

This wonderful town home is super great in comfort and location! The surrounding neighborhood offered easy walking to everything from restaurants, shopping, transportation, parks...the works! It was very clean and had all the necessary things for our stay. Highly recommend this for a stay in the Oak Park/Chicago area.

Great place to stay

Our family came to town for a special gathering. This was a nice place for the visit.

A wonderful location just blocks from downtown Oak Park. Very quiet at night.

The unit is furnished nicely. Overall a pleasant stay for all.

Great home, great homeowners

My family of 4 (kids aged 6 and 10) needed a place to stay for 7 weeks while in between homes. It's been a lifesaver! The place is comfortable, well-stocked and close to so many local restaurants. And the owners were very easy to work with. Thank you for making this interim period enjoyable!! I'd recommend this to anyone looking in Oak Park!!
