A great place to have your next function: wedding, family reunion, church retreat or a getaway with a few friends. This home has been completely restored with all the amenities- WiFi, cable, phone, freezer, pool table, jacuzzi. There are a total of 7 bedrooms in the main house (1 king, 4 queens, and 2 twins) and an apartment above the garage that is set up like a hotel room with 2 queen beds, and it has it's own microwave, coffee maker, and dorm sized fridge.
We are the Hancocks - Rhonda ,Josh and Monica. Ever since I can remember, we have always loved the charm of old houses. When we found this property we knew it was the one. Our dreams came true with a lot of help from my family and some great local craftsmen.
MONICA OR RHONDA HANCOCK purchased this estate in 2012
I have always loved historic homes, and it was with great pride that we were able to restore this home. We purchased this house, and over the last several months we restored Hancock Country Manor - a 1920's plantation home. It has all the modern amenities - cable, wifi, & phone service, while still maintaining the charm of its historic beauty. We know you will adore this place as much as our family does.
This house has 7 br, 4 bath, and several secluded areas. One of the major focal points of hancock country manor is the library. In the library you will be able to cozy up by the fireplace while reading your favorite book. Whether you enjoy shooting a game of pool or just relaxing in the jacuzzi, Hancock Country Manor will appeal to all. For outdoor entertaining there are options of grilling or having a bonfire. There are 2 separate masters and 4 additional guest rooms. Many separate decks and porches are available for entertaining or relaxing. Away from it all you feel so secluded, but you are only a short drive to entertainment and downtown Nashville. Relaxation is just a call away.
Hancock Manor is spectacular! The drive up the lane to the house is beautiful and upon reaching the house, it simply took your breath away. The ambience of the house, inside and outside, was beautiful, spacious and so, so peaceful! If I had any questions or concerns, Rhonda and Josh were fantastic to deal with. Such nice home owners. Rhonda left us a big plate of delicious cookies and a welcome note which was a pleasant surprise.
We came to TN for a wedding in Franklin and just happen to stumble across Hancock Manor which had accommodations to fit our large group, 10 adults and 5 kids ranging in age 16 to 6 mos. for an excellent price. We had enough room to sleep everyone comfortably! The house and the apartment above the garage was very clean. The kitchen was well supplies with cooking utensils as well as the bathrooms having enough towels and toiletries to accommodate our stay. WIFI access was iffy, which we were fully informed of before entering the home but, you could text without any issues. Besides, it was vacation - a time to get away from technology. They had Direct TV access which was great for the little ones to get their daily cartoon fix in. :o)
We all had a great time having pool and chest tournaments with each other and enjoying the hot tub and building fires in the fire pit to end our busy days running around Nashville and Franklin. It was a pleasure walking down the lane to the neighbors house to pet her Emus, ducks, turkeys, chickens, cats and dogs. The neighbors were so nice. Donna was so sweet to my grandkids, such a joy to chat with her.
For grocery needs, there was a little convenient food/gas station down the road and a little further was a General Dollar Store for other necessities. If you wanted main food staples, Gallatin was the closest large city for Mall shopping, dining out and grocery shopping - only a 30-35 min drive. Nashville took about an hour to get there and Franklin another 15-20 min further. The scenery is so beautiful that the drive was not a problem, very easy to navigate from Bethpage to Nashville/Franklin. For traveling on a holiday weekend traffic was not bad at all.
If you want tranquility and some much needed relaxation Hancock Manor is the place to be!! My family had the best time ever!!
Thank you Rhonda, Monica and Josh, it was Fantastic!!
From the moment we pulled up, we were more than pleased. The home is even larger and nicer in person, far exceeding our expectations. Needless to say, we were delighted beyond words when we entered this home for the first time!
The rooms were very tastefully decorated and spacious. We had everything we needed in this home to accommodate a large group, both indoors and outdoors. The grounds were very well maintained and felt like a retreat that we had all to ourselves. We really enjoyed this country setting for the week.
The main large city we ran into for large grocery shopping needs was Gallatin, but there is a local store/gas station nearby as well . The next time I plan a large family get-away - it will be at Hancock manor! We are hoping to return in the fall! All-in-all, a wonderful place and I would highly recommend you stay here with your large group.
As noted in other reviews, there is virtually no signal for communication with loved ones back home and simply something we are all not used to, but should be expected considering the rural location.
The property was clean and well kept. There was plenty of room for all of us. Pool table was a big hit! If we were going back to Nashville area, we would stay there again.
We traveled to this home with 15 adults and 9 children under the age of 4. The house was stunning and perfectly accommodated our large group! With the use of the garage apartment, every family was able to have their own private space. The kitchen was well-stocked with equipment and the kitchen, dining room, and patio off of the kitchen made it easy for us to gather for mealtimes. The owners even had a plate of Christie's cookies waiting for us with a "welcome" sign, which truly made us feel right at home! Everything was clean and perfectly decorated. (Not totally baby-proofed, but we managed just fine!) The hot tub and the fire pit were also very big hits for all of us! The kids loved going down to visit the neighbors at the bottom of the hill who had emus, peacocks, ducks, turkeys, dogs, and cats! The neighbors were very kind! It was definitely a hike to get to Nashville, but we weren't too worried about it because it was CMA fest and it was going to be too crazy to go anyway. We took the kids to Charlie Daniels Park on the east-side of Nashville to enjoy the splash pad, the huge playground, and had a picnic under the pavilion - it was an easier drive. We also went to the Nashville Zoo one morning, which was a lot of fun for all! The house was more than we could have asked for. Truly a home away from home. We would highly recommend to others traveling to the area!
2nd time staying at Hancock Manor we love the place, will stay again.
Once again I decided to visit this home to see if the awesomeness and beauty had worn off and I would be jaded toward the whole " vacation in the country" thing. I am delighted to say that it still took my breath away when I topped the hill and saw this magnificent home snuggled into the hillside. It was just as lovely and serine as it was the first time. Like stepping back in time to a more quiet and peaceful place where all your troubles stayed at the end of the driveway. From the beautiful hardwood floors to the library and fireplace this is the only place I have ever stayed where I was able to take just a little of that tranquil feeling home with me. Give yourself and your family or friends one of those experiences that will stay with them for the rest of time. Making conversations that begin with "Do you remember that great time when.......".
We are located approximately 35 miles from downtown Nashville, close enough to visit but still have the peace and quiet of a rural setting.
