About Peter Stolle
We have a small Family Ranch on the South slope of Haleakala. I grew up in Europe, speak fluent German. Always had the dream to have a small ranch, surrounded by unspoiled nature, but also love the ocean and when I seen the incredible Surf View from the Condo, I couldn't help it, I had to buy it, to eventually retire there.
Peter Stolle purchased this Condo in 2000
Why Peter Stolle chose Kihei
See for yourself, the view, the central location in the middle of what's happening.
What makes this Condo unique
Ground floor unit, 30 feet from the beach, private setting away from the regular tourist traps and in the center of where you want to be.
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
Great location to food and bars. Beach is directly in front of condo. Does get hot during the day inside the condo. Overall great place to stay for the money .
Convenient condo in the heart of Kihei
Lots of things to like with this property: the location was great, it is affordably priced, it has a full kitchen and remodeled bathrooms, great patio with full laundry facilities also. It does come with a parking spot and there are loaner body
boards, snorkel equipment and sand toys.
My only complaints would be that there is no air conditioning (fans in both bedrooms) and due to the close proximity of everything, there is lots of traffic and therefore noise.
Other than that, this is a great choice that I would recommend!
I found this place to be clean, nicely renovated, and an excellent value for 2 bedroom/2 baths. Usually when you search for a place that sleeps four, you get two beds. This place had four beds, and the second bathroom was a necessity when traveling with teenaged girls. The location was perfect. We could walk everywhere in Kihei. The road noise may be bothersome to some, but we didn’t mind it, and chose instead to focus on close proximity to the ocean, its beautiful views, sunsets and entertaining surf lessons. Peter was great at communicating and was very hospitable. Highly recommend!
We are glad you enjoyed your vacation at our Condo, and thanks for your kind response. Mahalo, Peter
This was the best place!
We loved that we could stay on the deck and play dice/cards and people watch. Nice sunsets watched from the condo.
Close walk to restaurants, shopping and grocery stores. The park was enjoyable also. They have lots of family things going on here. We enjoyed the roller skating.
This condo was perfect for us 5 adults.
We will be back.
Three generations were on this trip.
We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us and thanks for your response, please come back next time. Mahalo, Peter
Noisy and out-dated
While the owner was congenial, the convenient location nice and the view was great, the property was very out-dated and worn. Located right on South Kehei Rd. there was continuous traffic 24/7. Since the air conditioning was not available to use, you had to choose between being too warm with doors and windows closed or the deafening noise of cars and motorcycles. You couldn't even hear the surf. We slept on twin beds in the back rather than using the front master bedroom, but that even didn't help. The furniture was so old and worn that it was painful to sit on. I ended up laying on the floor to watch a movie! We brought patio furniture inside to sit on as it was more comfortable but there wasn't room to leave it inside. Cupboard door handles were loose and didn't match. The bathroom cold water handle came off in my hand. Baseboards were missing and wall paint was chipped. The seats of the bar stools were loose and there was no dining table to sit at. This was the worst VRBO we have ever stayed at and for the hefty rates charged in Hawaii (we were there in February) it was a very poor value. Will NOT stay there again.
Hi Paul, thanks for your response. Our Condo is right in the center of the Kihei surf activity which obviously comes with noise. Our occupancy is rated for 4 guests and with that the per person price is comparable to the Youth Hostel here on Maui. The Condo has new beds, new BBQ a great and modern furnished kitchen and we keep it very clean. Sorry that a mismatched cabinet handle spoiled your vacation, I would suggest next time you book the Hilton.
This is a very decent condo in a great prime location. Kitchen and washrooms have been updated and everything was clean. Close proximity to Kihei Cafe and the Foodland and an amazing view of the sunset. For the price, I personally thought it was a good value for what you got. A few things to note for new travellers:
There is no A/C. I know it's not listed in the amenities, but I missed that when I booked. I was fine without A/C, but some people might want that. There are ceiling fans in all rooms that kept the space coolish, but there was no way to deal with the humidity.
The suite is directly off of South Kihei Rd. You'll have all the windows ajared since there isn't A/C so you'll constantly hear the traffic and pedestrian noise from South Kihei Rd. I'm a heavy sleeper so it doesn't bother me, but my wife had some sleepless nights.
Watch the surf and paddle board activities and the best view of an incredible sunset from your living room and lanai.
