Location, Location, Location - Situated in the heart of Villefranche the apartment offers unrivalled access to all this historic small town has to offer. The renowned beach is but a stones throw away as are many of the wonderful restaurants and bars.

Transfers from Nice Airport are straightforward and without fuss. Full details or options and routes are available on request.

Our apartment is in a central, safe neighbourhood. The apartment is on the third (top) floor and comprises a living room, separate kitchen, two bedrooms (1 double bed, 2 single beds plus role-away) and bathroom. Recently purchased furniture and beds compliment this traditional riviera building.

As reflected in the many reviews the apartment is the perfect home from home for travellers wanting a base to explore this unique area of France.

  • White sheets are provided, all rooms have Wooden floors throughout the apartment, very clean and fresh with white walls and large French windows in every room. Beautiful outlook from every window in the apartments all the beds are comfy Bedroom one has a large double brass bed which you can fall asleep looking up at the mountainside and the stars at night Bedroom two: has 2 silver metal style beds (Laura Ashley) with firm mattresses and a additional fold down bed suitable for a small child, there is also a travel cote available. The outlook is of a lovely Palm tree gardens there is also a travel crib

Beautiful apartment in Villefranche

Loved the apartment...Close and convenient to everything. Dvd/tv wasn't working for us but wasn't really an issue since we weren't in the apt much. They said they would take care of for next rental. Keep in mind it is on the top floor and no elevator. This was not an issue for us but some may have issues. Only current negative is that I still haven't gotten my security deposit back and no response to my email from a few days ago.

Owner's Response: Gary, thank you for taking time to review at my apartment and for the 5 Stars, it is very much appreciated and hope to welcome you back very soon. I would like to comment on a couple of points you make reference to (1) the DVD Player, on inspection it has been found in good working order, and it may be that you failed to locate the main off/no switch located at the rear of the player. If you had contacted me about the player during your stay I would have sent the housekeeper to inspect. (2) You are correct the apartment is on the top floor (3rd Floor) and reference is made to this in the description on the website. The beauty of this very old ornate building would be tarnished were attempts made to install a lift. I know of no apartment buildings in the "Old Town" that have installed, or have space, for a lift The return of the security deposit is fully automated and actioned 48 hours after a guest leaves the apartment. I confirmed with you that the funds had left my account and asked for confirmation that you had not changed or replaced the card you original booked the apartment. For reasons unknown I heard nothing further, yet have since reached out to you and received confirmation you have received back the deposit. Once again, thank you for your review and comments left in the guest book and look forward. Stephen

Key collection made easy and the village a hidden gem. I have stayed at this same apartment 3 times and will continues to stay here.

Relaxing stay in Ville Franche

We have just returned from a week's holiday in this lovely part of the world.

There were five of us - myself, my husband and our three teenagers. Our kids shared the twin room and the youngest slept comfortably on a pull out bed.

The flat is ideally located and within easy walking distance to everything that Ville Franche has to offer. There is a beautiful bakery up the road (from where we bought fresh bread and croissants each morning), various other shops, pharmacies, bars and restaurants. There is also a play park at the top of the street for smaller children.

The beach is also a 10 minute walk away.

We bought fresh produce from the local market on Wednesday and Saturday (again, just up the road) and had a great time exploring the antiques market on Sunday down near the seafront.

The bus service to Nice and Monaco is very cheap and reliable and the bus stops are also at the top of the road. The train station is near the beach and we were able to get the train to and from Nice airport.

We very much enjoyed our family time and most evenings at some point we spent time on the balcony with a glass of wine or two, playing cards and having a laugh.

Our children appreciated the free wi -fi!

Overall, we had a fabulous stay and could easily have stayed another week.

Return Visit and Just As Good

So pleased to have found this hidden gem within the listings. Return visit to this wonderful top floor apartment in the magical Villefranche-Sur-Mer. The apartment as always spotless and key collection from Richard a breeze. Cannot recommend this apartment highly enough for it's close proximity to the beach and waterfront coupled with the bus stop for regular buses to Nice and Monaco. The apartment is as described and the photographs an accurate depiction of the interior. Perfect for a family or couple wanting a home from home in the South of France.

With my husband we opted to stay out of season for 4 weeks to learn French at a local school before moving onto Paris.

We both had a wonderful time. The apartment was perfect and the welcome gifts left by Stephen were much appreciated, including wine. It felt like home the moment we set foot through the door.

The apartment is as described, very clean and properly proportioned. The kitchen is fully stocked with every conceivable utensil and coffee maker. The views from the balcony are amazing. The is an abundance of travel books and guides together with a folder containing put together by owner with instructions on use of equipment and tips on where to visit and eat etc.

We chose well. The apartment is in a great central location, close beach, restaurants and the bus stop for travel into Nice (15 mins) or Monaco (30 mins) and beyond. Tip, ensure you choose an apartment close to the old town. Other, more modern apartments are built into the mountain side, and will entail a long walk, up many steps or winding roads to reach.

Out the main door to the market square took me less than a minute and I'm not the fastest of walkers. Not all restaurants were open in November. Highly recommend though is the Cosmo Bar, open all day and cooked salmon to perfection.

Yes we would return again, yes we would return to Stephen's apartment and yes we would not hesitate to recommend to family and friends. Will treasure our memories of our stay for many years to come.
