Hello, we are Murray and Anne. We have been together for 19 years now. We are both lifetime Michigan residents, and love it! After Murray's accident in 2001 that left him a paraplegic, we built a small hobby farm that keeps us busy. We have an alpaca, mini cow, duck, fainting goats, chickens, bunnies, sheep, dogs and cats. We have two grown children, one is still living with us as she finishes up college the other lives on his own.
Murray and Anne purchased this house in 2012
We love the beauty of Northern Michigan, out of all the places that we visited, we kept coming back to Lewiston. Tee Lake is full of wildlife and very relaxing and beautiful. This is our vacation home and we wanted to share it with others.
The huge master bedroom and walk in closet is fantastic. The covered porch allows you to enjoy the nature while still being covered from the elements. You will enjoy the stunning view of Tee Lake from the big gorgeous windows found in this home. There are plenty of times where it feels like we are the only ones on the lake.
Perfect location, great space, nicely decorated and had everything we could of needed!! Fast responce and home owners are available by phone if needed during your stay (should you ever need anything.) Hope I can make it back again soon! Thanks again for the great stay!!
This place was exactly what I was looking for. Very spacious, clean interior right on the water. We kayaked under a clear night sky and finished the night off with a Bon fire. Woke up to sunrise over the water drinking coffee on the deck. It was so serene and peaceful. It will definitely be a place I would reserve again Thai year.
My husband and I decided at the last minute to try to book a place for the Martin Luther King weekend. We had no snow in our area, and wanted to go north to find snow to cross country ski. Thursday night I went onto VRBO and requested availability of this home, and if there was snow. Immediately Anne responded that yes 6 inches of snow had fallen a few days earlier, and her place was available to rent. but she needed to know if I was going to book so they could go up there on Friday to prepare for our visit. We really appreciated Murray and Anne dropping everything to prepare for our stay. They even left huge muffins for us and hand made peanut butter treats for our Aussie Doodle. The home was beautiful, and well kept. It was very cold outside at night, but we cuddled by the fire and watched the football playoff games. Loved waking in the mornings to view the beautiful sunrise over the water right from the king sized bed, then sitting in the great room drinking coffee and admiring the view. Found a cross country path a few miles away and we had a beautiful sunny day to enjoy the outdoors with our pup. We definitely would come back, next time hoping our family/friends would join us!
The house was very nice and very clean. The house was exactly as described and the owners were great to work with. It was a very peaceful setting on Tee lake. We will definitely stay here when we return to this area. We had a wonderful vacation.
We had a great time at Anne & Murray's place. Beautiful home on a beautiful lake. Nothing like kayaking on water that's as smooth as glass, sitting around a campfire having somemoores while watching the sunset over the lake. We went there to decompress from the stress of everyday life and that's exactly what we got exactly. Anne & Murray provided everything we needed. We're definitely looking forward to coming back. The best part though was having our furry family member with us. Our dog Zoey loved being there with us. It was a true family vacation. Anne & Murray even had homemade treats for Zoey. Five star all the way!!!😀
We loved this home, our only negative was the neighbors. They continuously texted the owners complaining about us, they took pictures of our cars. Our family who were also staying in the area came over for a BBQ, and the neighbors texted owners, and took the pictures. Apparently these folks need something to do.
