About David Dunne

We are a child-free couple who love to call Vancouver home because of its awesome beauty, access to recreation and great urban environment and central location for travel by air, water, car, bicycle or on foot.

Main Street offers such a variety of eating and entertainment choices within short walking distance. Beyond, Vancouver's many and varied neighborhoods each have their own uniqueness to discover and enjoy. We love to explore our own neighborhood as well as other areas of the city.

We travel a lot and much prefer to stay in rented suites, apartments or houses than hotels. Finding out about other cities and what makes them special is as interesting as the people we meet while traveling.

We enjoy helping our guests get the most out of their stay and our city - so they can get a sense of what makes Vancouver special - rain or shin - it's one of the best places to call home. We hope our guests agree and call Vancouver 'home' while they enjoy all that the city are area have to offer.

We travel a lot and love to discover new places and meet people, but we also love to coming home to our own city and rediscovering why we chose to live here.

We moved in to our home when it was new back in 2006 and since then we have come to enjoy the many benefits of our quiet street and the surrounding neighborhood. We are in the geographical center of Vancouver - so access to water, mountains, parks, recreation, downtown, highways and ferries is another reason we love our home, our neighborhood and our city - and hope that our guests come to appreciate some of the things that make this corner of the world special.

Lovely, modern & cozy accommodations

David and Dominique are easily the most welcoming and friendliest hosts we have ever had! They are very knowledgeable about the city and give great advice and tips on transportation and hidden gem spots in their neighborhood. The suite is very clean and equipped with everything you need from towels to shampoo to dishes and even some condiments! The modern finishes is what sets this apart for me and the cute French decor! Made me feel a little like we were in Paris again! The only thing I wish is that we had time to sit on their patio as we did get pretty good weather for the most part! The neighborhood is very quiet after hours but extremely safe and close to everything you need. Overall we had the best time in Vancouver and wouldn't have been possible without the great accommodations we had at David and Dominque!

Will definitely be our go-to booking every time we visit Vancouver!

Cozy apartment with everything!

David and Dominique were fantastic hosts to us in Vancouver. We were first time visitors and Dominique was so helpful with suggestions and directions. The apartment is neat and clean, with anything one might need, and there's a delightful patio where we relaxed with a cold beverage after a day of sightseeing. If we return to Vancouver we'd definitely stay there again!! Thanks so much!

Perfect couples space.

Loved it! David and Dominique were wonderful. Greeted us, showed us the place and were there if we needed anything through the week. However, we never really saw each other, which was also nice as we didn't feel like we were in anyone's way. Had the use of the backyard during the evenings, very cozy. Great area and close to Main Street, which has some great pubs and restaurants! Would absolutely stay here again if we are in the neighbourhood!

Beautiful home and neighborhood

My husband and I loved our time in Vancouver. The accommodations were great. David and Dominique are very welcoming, kind and helpful. We will be back and would definitely recommend this home. It is so conveniently located that this was the first time on vacation that we didn't need to rent a car. The public transit system is fantastic. The Compass Card is a must. The only thing that we needed were extra kitchen towels for drying dishes. Thank you David and Dominique.

Beautiful home!

Our 10 night stay in David and Dominique 's home was delightful. The cozy, well appointed cottage was perfect for two people. We took full advantage of the well-stocked kitchen and cooked and prepared most of our meals. David was a fabulous "travel guide" and loved doing it. Every single time we interrupted his work with a travel question, he graciously answered us immediately. Good grocery shopping was nearby and restaurants aplenty. We were able to haul our bikes to some super bike paths and rode nearly 25k each excursion. Directions were easy to follow, although the driving sometimes became a bit tiresome. We would return to David & Dominique 's charming home in a heartbeat.....you should definitely give it a try....you will not be disappointed, we promise!!

Wonderful Stay!

Our extended stay at Dominique and David's garden suite was great! The suite was spotless, the tour by Dominique was very helpful and the on-going support offered by David and Dominique was remarkable. Given that we had an extended stay, we always felt supported by both hosts. I appreciated the accommodations made for bike storage and additional storage areas.

The area couldn't have been better! It is close to VGH, easy walking distance for groceries, dinner out and fabulous bistros which often featured delicious baked goods. For cyclists, the area has abundant cycle routes allowing you to cycle most anywhere. The neighbourhood is friendly, with lots of families, children and smiling faces!
