We are a child-free couple who love to call Vancouver home because of its awesome beauty, access to recreation and great urban environment and central location for travel by air, water, car, bicycle or on foot. Main Street offers such a variety of eating and entertainment choices within short walking distance. Beyond, Vancouver's many and varied neighborhoods each have their own uniqueness to discover and enjoy. We love to explore our own neighborhood as well as other areas of the city. We travel a lot and much prefer to stay in rented suites, apartments or houses than hotels. Finding out about other cities and what makes them special is as interesting as the people we meet while traveling. We enjoy helping our guests get the most out of their stay and our city - so they can get a sense of what makes Vancouver special - rain or shin - it's one of the best places to call home. We hope our guests agree and call Vancouver 'home' while they enjoy all that the city are area have to offer.

We travel a lot and love to discover new places and meet people, but we also love to coming home to our own city and rediscovering why we chose to live here. We moved in to our home when it was new back in 2006 and since then we have come to enjoy the many benefits of our quiet street and the surrounding neighborhood. We are in the geographical center of Vancouver - so access to water, mountains, parks, recreation, downtown, highways and ferries is another reason we love our home, our neighborhood and our city - and hope that our guests come to appreciate some of the things that make this corner of the world special.

Excellent value for money
Nice, clean, well equipped modern apartment. Located in a nice quiet and safe residential street within a few minutes walk of shops and restaurants in Main Street. Buses can be caught in Main Street to take you downtown. It was a 1.5mile drive to the King Edward tube/train station. This train line took you straight through to the water front - about 5 stops.
We had a hire car and parking was available on the street.
Wonderfully appointed and exactly as shown
Owners were extremely nice and helpful with ideas for things to see and restaurants to try! Enjoyed meeting the Dunne’s and we walked to many restaurants from their quiet neighborhood. We certainly recommend for a couple. Enjoyed the outdoor area and prepared several meals in the well appointed kitchen! Must Love Canada’
Perfect for the Two of Us
Our stay was August 3 - 10, 2018. The suite was immaculately cleaned and prepared for us by our gracious and friendly hosts. Everything you might need is provided, including a fully equipped kitchen. There is also a nice garden sitting area outside. We loved the neighborhood as well, perfect for walks and exploring the many shops and stores in the area. Close to Queen Elizabeth Park. An bonus was how cool the suite stayed, even on very hot days, which made for a good night's sleep. Definitely recommended for a couple.. We would stay here again.
Perfect little place for a stay in Vancouver
I have stayed for 1 week and can just say that the apartment is lovely. The patio was a special treat as it was very hot during my stay. It is conveniently located in a quiet neighbourhood and is very well connected by public transport to all major attractions and locations in Vancouver. Restaurants, cafe‘s, supermarkets and other shops are within walking distance. Besides that David and Dominique are the best hosts you can imagine. Should I ever come to Vancouver again I definitely would like to stay there again.
Fantastic place, fantastic hosts!
Above all, we remember the fantastic welcoming hospitality of our hosts Dominique and David! The spotless and fully equipped apartment is perfectly located in the basement of a beautiful red house in the nice and quiet neighborhood of Mount Pleasant. Our fantastic hosts live on location so they're always very accommodating and willing to help or suggest nice places to visit in downtown Vancouver or around. The apartment itself is perfect for couples or single travelers. Everything was so clean when we arrived that we were almost shy to walk in with our shoes on or use the spotless dishes and kitchen equipment. It would definitively put to shame some 5 stars hotels! The kingsize bed is very confortable and the bath/shower has a perfect water pressure. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the necessary domestic electrical appliance. As guest, we have access to a beautiful backyard and nice garden furniture where it's always enjoyable to have coffee in the morning or even dinner at night. Many bus are a few blocks away and bring you downtown Vancouver in 20 to 45 minutes. The beautiful Queen Elizabeth Park and Main Street with its many restaurants and shops are within walking distance from the apartment. To sum it all, I cannot emphasize enough the fact that our fantastic hosts Dominique and David are by far the best hosts we've ever had! We loved every seconds our our stay in Vancouver and they've been a huge part of it! The question is not if but when we will go back!
Gracious host. Wonderful location
Hosts were very friendly. Located close to grocery stores, restaurants and pubs. The suite has been recently renovated. It was the perfect home away from home for my wife and I.
Quiet, convenient location with great food and bars within walking distance. Close to transportation opinion including cycle route, transit, free parking, walking. 1.5 hours to Whistler or 45 minutes to Victoria ferries or US border.
Located on safe and tree lined cycle route across from a green space, close to city parks and just short distance from False Creek or downtown by bike, transit or car. Within Vancouver's Car2Go territory with lots of options usually within short walking distance.
Main Street is one of Vancouver's best areas to explore with plenty of restaurants, bars, boutiques and shopping of every variety.
Queen Elizabeth Park provides awesome views of the city with a great restaurant (Seasons) and recreation (tennis / golf).
Nat Bailey Stadium (home Vancouver Canadians) and Olympic Curling (now a Vancouver Parks pool, gym, ice rink and curling facility) and great outdoor green space and cycle routes for safe travel throughout the city.
Whistler is 1.5 hour drive along the beautiful Sea-to-Sky highway - one of the most scenic drives you'll experience.
