About Pamela Bridge

My husband and I have been coming to Italy for 25 years and finally found the perfect house to buy in an unspoilt Tuscan Village. Our Italian son-in-law organised the perfect restoration for us and now we come to Italy for 6 months every year. We also like other people to enjoy "Il Nido" so we decided to holiday rent it with great success as all of our clients love it and most keep returning.

Pamela Bridge purchased this cottage in 2009

Why Pamela Bridge chose Val d'Elsa - Siena

If you see the photos it is self explanatory that the house is beautiful and in a special place on the Medieval wall of Radicondoli with a private garden and wonderful views.

What makes this cottage unique

There is a special outdoor eating area as well as the fact that you can stroll up to 3 different restaurants within 200 metres . The village also has a supermarket, deli, butcher and pharmacy.

Beautifully appointed Cottage with a magical view

  • 5 of 5

Radicondoli is a delightful village about 1 hour from Siena. This cottage is absolutely beautiful and well appointed in every detail. The garden looks out on to the Siennese hills and the view is wonderful. We never wanted to leave. Highly recommend this property if you want to experience the magic of Tuscany!

Il Nido di Radicondoli a wonderfull place to stay

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I could not have been more pleased with our stay at Il Nido during our trip to Italy in Sept 2015.From the begining we were very impressed with the well appointed and clean Villa upon our arrival , along with the support the owner and her nearby daughter gave us .

It was the best spot to base ourselves to explore all that Tuscany had to offer and we found our way to all the sites we wanted to see while travelling through the most beautiful country side you could imagine.

Each evening we began with a visit to the local Bar where host Michael made us feel very welcome and we met many locals and then onto one of the restaraunts in Radicondoli where we were able to taste the beautiful local food and wine.

One of the many highlights of our stay was a visit to the local Sheep Farmers house where his wife and daughters put on a magnificent meal along with his own wine'.Ask Michael at the Bar for the contact. Not to be missed !!

We have not stopped talking about our trip since arriving home and have also recommended our friends to stay at Il Nido when travelling to Italy.

Beautifully renovated home in a fantastic location

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I had a delightful stay at Il Nido. Everything about the home was as pictured/described (or better) and the setting, with a lovely view of the Tuscan hills was more delightful than pictures can convey.

Radicondoli is an excellent base for exploring Tuscany and is a beautiful city itself with dramatic views of the surrounding hill towns. The town is small (a plus from my POV) but it has everything you need.

The house is very generous for two people and could accommodate a small family. It was completely rehabbed in 2010 and the owners (who occupy it much of the year, so it is furnished with everything you need, all of which is new rather than a cast-off) did an excellent job moderizing it while preserving its charm. The many windows flooding the house with light but still preserve your privacy. The kitchen and two full bathrooms are very modern and the kitchen in particular is much nicer than we have had in other VRBOs (modern 5 burner stove, oven, full refrigerator, dishwasher, etc.) and we cooked quite a bit with no challenges. The bed is very comfortable. The outdoor patio/garden is perfect for breakfast, evening drinks and dinner (or lunch, although we were usually out for lunch).

The owner was extremely responsive and helpful before, during and after our stay. Given that she lives in Australia, I wondered about that at the start of the process, but she always got back to us promptly with a helpful response to my questions as well as some helpful tips. Plus she has a daughter who lives nearby and a housekeeper who lives in town and who met us when we arrived (the house was spotless when we arrrived).

Our stay at Il Nido was the highlight of a wonderful trip to Italy and we would recommend it to friends and hope to return ourselves.

Fantastic gem of a house!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at "Il Nido" . What a wonderful house and so beautifully furnished.

Perfect private garden with great views and well furnished for Al fresco dining.

The Village of Radicondoli is also a perfect base from which to explore Tuscany and all it has to offer.

We also liked the fact that we could just stroll up to the local restaurants and supermarket etc.

Our stay at il Nido was exceptional!

Cleanliness, comfort, convenience not to mention great WiFi access, Sat TV, washing machine etc. all as described in the listing, was of a high standard. Small village with a good supermarket, pharmacy, and even its own paramedics on hand if needed!

Great location to explore other villages of Tuscany- own car would make this easier.

A total relaxing escape in a picturesque setting!

Absolutely gorgeous

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed in this lovely comfortable property in Tuscany last summer and cannot recommend it highly enough. From the moment we walked in the door we just felt totally at home. One of those rare open your suitcase and start relaxing kind of holidays! The property is immaculate and very well set up and is a perfect base to just sit back and take in the dolce vita. Pamela and Lynton (the owners) were delightful and were very helpful at all stages of our planning. This is their private Tuscan retreat and it has been restored with passion and flair and is certainly not your basic rental. The house is all brand new and was spotlessly clean. I must also mention that the quality of the mattresses and linen was of the highest order. All of this is totally enhanced by the very pretty village of Radicondoli which is very pictuesque and has some excellent restaurants and very friendly locals. We hope to return again soon.

'Il Nido di Radicondoli is a perfect base from which make daily excursions returning home in the evenings to either visit the local restaurants or enjoy the garden. It is in a village that is very typically Italian and where you really get to view first hand 'La Dolce Vita' The Italians are always welcoming to the visitors in the village and are always interested as to where you are from. During the cooler months we have installed new central heating as well as an open fireplace. Lovely to sit around with a glass Chianti. It is a special place for those people that really want to experience the village life whilst still enjoying quality comforts etc..The owners have ensured that everything is of the highest standard. It would also be suitable for a couple with children as they have a garden in which to kick a ball around .There is a second bedroom upstairs with new double bed plus sitting area w/T.V,DVD. ideal for guests to stay. There is a public tennis court just a 100 metres away.
