Simply the location!
You can walk to Ginza and there are about 10 subway/railway stations to go and get around Tokyo.
The building itself was brand new when we purchased it in 2010,
so it is earthquake proven and has all the modern facilities.
We used the flat for 1 week in late September. It was immaculately clean and beautifully appointed. There was nothing that we needed that was not provided. It was perfectly situated for all the sightseeing we did, including probably the best access tond Tokyo! It was in a wonderful neighbourhood full of charming shops and little restuarants, and a very short walk to the retail hub of Ginza. We found it to be a wonderful refuge from the madness of Tokyo and a great place to come back to each day after a hard day of sightseeing. I would recommend this unit to just about anyone.

This was our 2nd stay at one of Joyce's condos. The location is perfect, it is close to everything. Both condos were very clean and have everything you need. Once again, Joyce was super accommodating and helpful!
We stayed in the flat for only three days and we loved it. The flat was able to accommodate very well our group of 4 adults and 1 baby. The quality of the flat and its amenities are excellent and it shows the attention to detail that the owner has spent for their guests. Something worth mentioning was the quality futon/duvet, it was so comfortable that I asked for directions of the shop and I bought one myself to take back home.
The flat is very close to Tsukiji Market (about 10-15 min walk), which helps a lot if you plan to see the Tuna auction in the middle of the night (we had to arrive around 3am to get a place in the auction). There are several "combini" around the flat to buy basic items and if you need a bit variety there is a medium size supermarket close to the flat as well (under 5-10 min walk). Ginza/Toyo station area are also within easy reach walking from the flat.
The best part was the assistance provided by Joyce, the owner of the flat. She gave us tips and explained a lot about Japan before and during our trip. She gave us restaurants and izakaya recommendations which we really enjoyed. Even after we had left the apartment I asked for some help and Joyce promptly answered everything. If you want to fell a bit more local and escape to usual tourist places, Joyce is the right person. I have no words to express my gratitude very her help.
We stayed at this affordable flat in Ginza and Joyce was very helpful. She set up our pick up at the airport since we arrived at 10pm. Went over the room and area with us in the secured building. Neighborhood was very quiet with subway and convenience store just minutes away.
She even help as our translator over the phone when we needed help.
Will definitely recommend this clean and comfortable rental to our friends!
Thanks again Joyce.
Our trip was a couple months ago and we already miss being in Japan and staying in this apartment. I cannot rave enough about the ideal location! There are multiple transit lines within minutes of this apartment so it was quick and easy to get anywhere in Tokyo! The apartment was clean, spacious and definitely felt like home after touring for the day. Joyce and her husband were both fantastic to deal with and I would recommend this place to anyone who is staying in Tokyo. We are planning our next trip for Spring 2017 and hope to stay here again!
My 5-day stay at this good-sized apartment was a perfect introduction to Tokyo. It gave my 17 year old great-nephew and I the space and comfort to relax while exploring Tokyo. I rented 4 apartments from VRBO while in Japan and am very pleased we started with this one.
We could walk to many of the tourist areas then return to a quiet, safe 'real' neighborhood. The narrow street we were on was a mix of apartments, businesses and offices. A variety of restaurants was close by.
Cooking at home was easy since the kitchen had everything you needed - just buy the food. I appreciated having a toaster and coffee maker (with good ground coffee) available to start the day.
My best time was walking to the Kabukiza Theater, then having a great sushi dinner near the apartment. My nephew's best time was using one of the available bikes to peddle to the Tsukiji Fish Market.
The Shintomisho subway stop is just up the street. After a day of subwaying around Tokyo we would stop at the 7-11 near the station exit and pick up good dinners for cheap. Note: do not overlook the 7-11 Bordeaux.
Joyce is an excellent hostess and really wants to make sure you enjoy the experience of a comfortable Tokyo neighborhood.
Why stay in a hotel room when you can have a luxury holiday flat with a fully equipped kitchen plus a washing machine? There is a living space and most of all - very comfortable beds. The property is located in a quiet residential area close to Ginza where many old houses and small businesses still remain. However, within 5-10 minutes’ walk, you can get to Ginza, one of the top tourist attractions in Tokyo. There you can shop and enjoy dining out and drinking at a wide variety of cafes, bars and restaurants of your choice. You will find 10 subway and Japan Rail stations within a 10 minutes’ walk with the nearest subway station is just around the corner! Some of the most popular tourist attractions in Tokyo such as Tsukiji Fish Market, Hama Rikyu Gardens, the Imperial Palace, and off course, Ginza are all walking distance from this holiday unit. It is a perfect base for your vacation in Tokyo!
