Cottage with stunning sea views in Stockholm archipelago
average rating of 5.0 based on 13 reviews

Fantastic Location. Wonderful hosts

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful location, we loved spending early mornings and evenings looking out at the view, The welcome was fantastic and Christian giving the boat trip and local walk tour was a highlight. The cottage created a very homely feel. Without a doubt we would come back to here as our choice in the archipelago. Very easy to get to central Stockholm either by car or bus. Close to ferries terminal that goes to Sandhamn - worth a trip in season. Thank You!

best of all worlds

  • 5 of 5

It's the best of all worlds here:

- nature: blueberry, raspberry, deep green woods, moose, elk everywhere you walk

- swimming either in the baltic sea or in a sweetwater lake round the corner

- fishing

- going by boat

- Stockholm is about 60min away by bus and the trip is included in the day ticket price SL Access

- venture into the outer archipelago from Stavsnäs harbour about 5min away

- hospitality: Kiki and Christian are more than just the landlords, they will help with any problem and are the most kindest persons

Beautiful cottage in a stunning location

  • 5 of 5

We've just had a fantastic, very relaxing week in Christian's cottage in the Stockholm archipelago. The cottage is lovely, in an absolutely gorgeous part of the archipelago. We had a great time swimming in the lake, taking the canoe and rowing boat around the islands and though the canals, and spotting wildlife including deer and beavers!

The location is within easy reach of Stockholm for days out, and very easy for day trips to the lovely island of Sandhamn (which we highly recommend!) Christian is a fantastic host, happy to help out with everything and to take you on a fantastic boat trip around the island. We'd highly recommend this to anyone who wants a relaxing holiday in an absolutely stunning part of Sweden. Thanks Christian!

Cute cottage with a breathtaking view of the sea

  • 5 of 5

First we want to thank Christian and Kiki for their warm hospitality.

We were in Sweden for a week visiting family and friends in Stockholm, and had decided a year ago to rent a summer cottage in the archipelago for this trip. We chose this wonderful location and made the arrangements with Christian and Kiki, so we had almost a year looking forward to this trip. We were not disappointed in the least when we arrived on a beautiful Saturday afternoon in August 2016. The location and view is stunning, really indescribably. You have to see it for yourself to appreciate it.

The cottage itself is, of course, VERY Swedish...cute, functional, perfectly clean, and with everything needed to quickly feel at home. Grocery shopping and restaurants are nearby, but we mostly enjoyed preparing our own meals in the very nice and fully functional kitchen.

There is so much to do to have a fulfilling vacation...swimming , boating, fishing, hiking, canoeing, biking, etc, however our priority was visiting family and friends. We did our visits both in Stockholm and also having family out at the cottage, which kept us busy for the week. One highlight of the week was just enjoying coffee (and vino :-)) sitting on the patio and taking in the view of the sea. We also enjoyed the wood-fired sauna on the first day we arrived after the grueling flight from the USA. And even the dip in the Baltic after "cooking" in the sauna for 20 minutes, and then quickly back to the sauna, of course. Very relaxing.

I would just say, we will return and hopefully, in the not too distant future.

Thank you again to Christian and Kiki, we enjoyed meeting you, and appreciated your making the cottage available to we distant travelers, and to respecting our privacy while being completely accessible to meet our needs. We are open to answering any questions to potential renters if they want contact us. Hard to get everything into a review like this.

Une cabane de rêve au bord de l'eau

  • 5 of 5

Great spot!

  • 5 of 5

This Cottage is just marvellous! We have stayed here for the second time and enjoyed Kicki's and Christian's hospitality. I can recommend it fullheartedly! Stockholm is just 30 minutes away, the archipelago such a great place to explore both for adults as kids... We will certainly come back soon!

The property is located in the most beautiful part of Stockholm´s Archipelago. Only 40 min by car or bus from the centre of beautiful Stockholm with all the shops, museums, restaurants and attractions. 50 m from the house you find a nice child friendly sandy beach and rocks to dive from. Nearby there are three major golf courses and several minor ones. Stavsnäs is a small village with original picturesque wooden houses situated only 3 km from the house. There you will find a small bakery and a pub if you fancy a nice cup of coffee or a beer. There is also a small supermarket and an all-year ferry harbour connecting the nearby inhabited islands such as Sandhamn. Sandhamn is an island where you can experience the remarkable maritime terrain of the outer archipelago. This is also the key meeting place for sailors and yachters, with a vibrant party scene during the summer. The idyllic village has an inn, hotels, the classic Royal Swedish Yacht Club, and numerous restaurants and bars.
