Casa de Iguanita is a very comfortable and traditional condo located in the exclusive security controlled Playacar community of Playa del Carmen. It is a third floor penthouse end unit with vaulted bedroom ceilings, ceiling fans, 3 air conditioning units and a private terrace which overlooks the swimming pool and courtyard. It is tastefully decorated, bright and comfortable. The condo has been completely updated with new kitchen cabinets, granite counter tops in kitchen & bathrooms, professionally painted, new linens, towels, curtains and a new washer.

Playa del Carmen and Playacar are centrally located in the very popular Riveria Maya area just 1 hour south of the Cancun International Airport. It is centrally located for access to the Mayan ruins, Coba, Tulum, beaches, ecoparks, snorkelling/scuba, and easy access to Cozumel Island via local Ferry.

Just minutes walking or a short taxi ride from Casa de Iguanita and you are at either the Reef Club, Hard Rock golf course or downtown 5th Avenue for shopping, tours,restaurants. Taxis are available within 1 block of the condo for your convenience and there are 2 bicycles available for your pleasure.

With the condo rental you have free daily access to the Reef Club Resort beach, lounges and pools. Early arrival at the Reef Club improves access for the day. You may also purchase the daily all inclusive food and drink option for about $55 USD.

Casa de Iguanita is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo with ample closet space that comfortably sleeps up to 5 people. The master bedroom has a pillow top queen size bed and private bath, the second bedroom has a double and single bunk bed set. The completely updated kitchen is fully equipped for all your cooking needs including stove, refrigerator/freezer, microwave, coffee maker, toaster,blender, dishes and cooking utensils. The laundry room has a new large capacity washing machine. The living room has a very comfortable seating and relaxing area with a three piece living room set and new Samsung HD TV and Blue Ray CD player. There is a dining area with pass through bar to the kitchen. There are also several sets of golf clubs available for anyone wishing to play the beautiful Hard Rock Golf Course where reduced rates are available with the 'Twilight' rate. Two bicycles are also available for guests who want to explore Playacar or downtown. There is satellite Dish TV and FREE secure WIFI internet access and an IPod docking/charging station.

There is a beautiful pool with a palapa, shower and restroom in the courtyard and two floating chairs in the condo for your use.

Several small convenience stores and very good locally owned restaurants are within a few minutes walking distance from the condo. There is a shopping center 'Centro Maya' a short distance away with a major grocery store Soriana, also Walmart and Mega are located downtown on 30th Ave.

What makes this condo unique

The condo is a perfect vacation place, close to everything, yet away from the heavy traffic and noise areas. The terrace is a great place to sit and have breakfast, an evening cocktail as you overlook the beautiful pool and courtyard area.

Nice retreat from the bustle of downtown Playa Del Carmen

My wife and I spent two weeks in this well equipped two bedroom condo. Very secure gated community, and close to everything. Weather was very rainy during our visit, which the locals told us was unusual. Condo has all the things you need to enjoy yourself. Lots to do and see in the area, great italian, mexican food and a fab french bakery in walking distance, as well as an OXO for anything little thing you forgot. There is a large shopping centre just across the highway from the main entrance to Playacar, walking distance. We used the bicycles, always up for an adventure, as you share the pathways with pedestrians, animals and other cyclists, all at the same time. Did not use the supplied beach club card, as they were busy and kept telling us to come back another day. Spent several days on the main beach in town, enjoying the beach chairs and food and drink on the beach. Rented a car from Sixt in Playa, worked out well, allowed us to travel down to Tulum for the day, and to Puerto Adventura for lunch with friends that were staying in that area.Suggest you take all the offered insurance as the drivers here are kind of crazy, and the speed bumps (topes) will cause damage. Wifi in the condo worked very well, we brought our apple tv box and hooked easily into the flat screen tv. This was very helpful during the heavy rain days, Had plumbing problems which were corrected by the local manager, even though I had to email the owner to get the manager to reply. Just remember that you are on holiday in a foreign country, some things are different, water pressure is not like it is in north america. Also several units in this complex have dogs that bark a lot! Not unusual in this area, judging from the number of stray dogs in town. It is about a 25 minute walk to 5th avenue, great shopping, large choice of restaurants and stuff to entertain you.

It is also our goal to manage and respond promptly to any issues or concerns expressed by the guests. Our property manager also tries to make every effort to respond as promptly as possible, while occasionally his business may require him to travel outside the immediate Playa del Carmen area. The plumbing problem was fixed within a reasonable time. It is our policy to check and verify all aspects of the condo and ensure all are in proper working condition prior to guest arrivals. We also provide guests an information letter which contains very detailed instructions and information about all operational aspects of the condo, transportation, condo location, shopping and restaurants. There are a number of dogs in the complex next to La Concha II that do bark quite a bit, our complex seems to comply well with limiting noise.

It is also within walking distance or short taxi ride to the terrific beaches and exclusive access to the Reef Club Resort beaches and pool facilities. There is also a championship Hard Rock golf course within Playacar, small shopping malls, restaurants and walking paths. The Playacar community has resort hotels, villas, condos, shops, restaurants and a championship golf course/spa. Great location to relax, enjoy the pool, go for walks, ride 2 provided bicycles, have cocktails on the lanai overlooking pool and courtyard.

Refundable damage deposit $400

Cancellations 60 days or more prior to arrival date will receive a full refund of rental and deposit less a $150 processing fee. Cancellations 30 days or less will receive a 50% refund of rental and deposit. Holiday cancellations will forfeit 100% of all monies paid. Refundable security/damage deposit $400.

One half of the rental payment amount plus the refundable security/damage deposit is due at time of reservation confirmation. The balance of the rental deposit is due 60 days prior to arrival date. For Holiday reservations the full amount of the rental and the refundable security/damage deposit is due to confirm the reservation. Payments can be made thru PayPal or Bank/Certified check.
