Deborah and her family were wonderful to work with before and during their stay. It was great to share with them all the benefits of spending family time on the property as well as experiencing the great amenities the community has to offer. I greatly appreciate their reaching out to when the power company stopped by unannounced to change over to newer meters during their stay.
I hope you will return again for another family stay!
This is an absolutely beautiful home and property! We were lucky to spend Labor Day Weekend here--4 families with 4 children. The property itself is lovely and peaceful...the patio was perfect to sit out on at the end of a busy day while watching the kids playing in the yard. We especially enjoyed the fire pit at night...This is a classic farmhouse with a gourmet kitchen that allowed us to easily cook for the group the three nights that we were there. We enjoyed time at Lake Chocoura thanks to the parking pass provided by Debra and had just a wonderful time all around. We highly recommend this home!!
This was a beautiful home and property which we were able to have a large group (10) and feel comfortable. The kitchen area is spacious and well stocked for cooking your own meals, there is a large dinning room table, and wonderful sitting area with a T.V.
The beds are comfortable, and the sun room on the second level is especially lovely to wake up in and view the garden and outdoor space.
The patio and lawn are perfect for BBQing, relaxing in the sunshine, enjoying a fire, and playing lawn games.
I would highly recommend to a group looking to get away from it all and enjoy each others company.
We loved our stay.
Debra was very responsive and made everything right, even when we had a few problems (none of which she could have foreseen). The spot was beautiful - we could ski from the back door. The house was cozy and warm during a very cold long weekend. It was clean and fully appointed. We had a few toddlers and several couples, and had enough space to be together and have some time apart.
We really look forward to returning in the near future.
What a delightful space! The historic farmhouse on beautiful grounds nestled near the White Mountain National forest trails was a perfect venue for our active family of young adults and their parents. Each morning offered us the opportunity to walk or run on the trails behind the house, and the frequent encounters with the waterways made it easy for our little border collies to accompany us in these jaunts. The kitchen space is fabulous, and so well equipped for us all to cook our meals, and then to enjoy them together seated around that gorgeous pine table. The pool table had its share of action, too. We loved the clear nights to star gaze and enjoy the beautiful weather, or to play croquet; and the quiet of the area was a welcome change for the city-dwellers in our group. We also enjoyed a day at the lake, as well as other hikes in the area; and kayaking.
I would highly recommend this space! Thank you for providing us such a beautiful spot for our family to reconnect, recharge, and rejuvenate.
My 19 year old niece said it best when she entered this beautiful home. "Wow, this feels just like Christmas morning!" This home exudes warmth and a feeling that this home has a history where people lived and loved well. We wanted time together for our large family of brother and sisters with grandmother and older children to reconnect. This was a beautiful setting that allowed us to share meals prepared in a fantastic kitchen and a beautiful patio with a fire pit to share evenings. Must sees include the local farmer's market on Saturdays, the playhouse, Monkey Trunks (a ropes course), lakes and hiking trails. We had a wonderful time and know that you will too!!! Thank you Debra!
Our extended family (14) had a wonderful week at this beautiful home. We loved the extensive outdoor patio and fire pit area, as well as the large kitchen/dining/living room areas. There's a great short walk from the rear of the property to the Wonalancet River and endless mountain hiking within a short drive. Tamworth offers a great farmer's market on Saturdays. a distillery, a playhouse, outdoor music and great food from Grammy Gordon's bakery. Debra is a great host, full of local information and easily reachable if questions arise. We will definitely stay again.
Amazing hiking, cross country skiing on groomed trails and snow shoe right out the back door. SNOW MACHINE delight - miles and miles of endless, maintained trails which access club trail network from house.
