Florida South Gulf Coast Villa Rental Photos and Description

5 Bedroom, 4 Bathroom, Sleeps 10

Our 5 Bedroom, 4 Bath completely screened in home with 3 levels and over 3,500 sq ft of under-roof livable space makes for an island playground. The lower level includes a large pool with waterfall, hot tub, BBQ and bar area and private 1 Bedroom Unit with en-suite kitchenette and bath. The middle level provides a more intimate environment for travelers and includes living room with two sitting areas, open plan kitchen and dining area with expansive views to the gulf with a large wrap around deck with views in all directions. This level also includes three bedrooms each with their own bath, laundry room with front loading washer and dryer. The third floor consists of a large high-ceiling open bedroom with it's own huge private walkout deck with breathtaking gulf views.

The house is situated on a wide canal just 75 yards from the open waters of the gulf. This combined with the rental of our optional 19 ft Carolina Skiff (at only $600 for a whole week) powered by a 50 HP 4 stroke Honda motor can wisk you and up to 6 more of your party out through calm protected waters to deserted pristine white sandy beaches just moments away. The boat has a bimini top for shade and rod holders for fishing. The flat bottom hull and shallow draft allows you to pull up right on the sand in many locations. You can also take an amazing twenty minute run through the calm waters behind Keywaydin Island all the way up to downtown Naples, dock the boat and walk the colorful streets and shops of the center of town. Likewise it is just ten minutes across to Marco Island. Or you can take one of our three kayaks from our dock and paddle around the tranquil coves and bays that make up the Isles of Capri, with its dolphins and abundant sea birds and inshore fishing opportunities. You will also have a good chance of spotting Manatees within yards of the shore.

The mainland is also accessible by a single road. The Isle of Capri neighbors nearby Marco Island.

The Isle of Capri....

...nestled between the Florida Everglades and the Gulf of Mexico. A virtually undiscovered paradise, the Isles of Capri are a dream location to wind down and relax, fish and swim. The Isles of Capri are two miles from Marco Island and its fabulous beaches, shops and restaurants, and 20 minutes from Naples' sophisticated restaurants and shops.

There are many golf courses, boat rentals and waterside services just minutes away. Direct access to the Gulf means you can explore the fabulous waterways and islands, walking and shelling and watching the amazing Florida sunsets. The Isles of Capri have superb and inexpensive restaurants within walking distance, where you can sip on a cocktail while looking out over the boats and marina.

Serenity, nature, activities, wonderful people, and beautiful surroundings make the Isles of Capri a hidden treasure in Southwest Florida, a little piece of paradise that inspires, relaxes, and heals both mind and body. Come see for yourself. But be careful. Once you arrive, you might not want to leave!

Love the house and location

  • 5 of 5

We had a small family reunion in this house. We have total of 6 adults and 4 kids including toddler and teenagers. We all had a great time. Love the location. The house is clean and nice. The pool and BBQ area is where we spend most of our times. The house is well equipped with cooking utensils as well as other toys such as kayaks, bicycles, fishing gears. Annie the owner is very nice and responsive. We will definitely come back for a family vacation hopefully soon.

Lovely Home But Needs Some Attention

  • 3 of 5

We recently stayed at this home and enjoyed it a great deal.

Overall I want to say the house was in a fantastic area. There was more than enough room to "spread out" in the house, which made it truly relaxing and enjoyable. The kitchen was well appointed. We loved having the gas grill. And well, the pool and hot tub were just great. Can't tell you how much we miss that hot tub now. The bikes were also very nice to have.

There were however a few issues.

1. The kayaks were dirty. They obviously hadn't been used in a while so my husband and sons had to hose them out and really clean them down before using them.

2. There appears to be some sort of mold problems in the downstairs unit. Mold itself wasn't visible at all but there was a marked "musty odor." The unit was relatively clean but the shower had not been used in some time and had some cobwebs and residual dirt and thus needed to be cleaned before first use.

3. The lanai area could stand some general cleaning. (i.e., the corner area nearest the kitchen) needed some weeding, a collection of broken pool noodles and pool floats that needed a hosing and air filling. (Not a huge deal - it took us just a few minutes to do that). At some point the home owners will need to get the lanai scrubbed of the mold which probably builds up on all lanais subject to the elements of mother nature. A couple of different times at night while using the hot tub we did notice a resident mouse who seemed to scurry somewhere between the rocks of the waterfall.

4. The decks were a little questionable. Loose boards/warping/slanted. Some areas frankly just didn't feel safe. In particular the deck off the loft bedroom really felt unsafe and we directed our daughter who slept upstairs not to use that deck.

5. We rented the Grady White and feel it needs some TLC. The depth finder and fuel gauge did not work. Despite this my husband handled it without issue and I would definitely recommend if you rent the house to rent the boat.

The only other thing I'd note to potential renters is if you have someone with mobility issues this is not the rental for you. Spiral staircase from main living to pool area and spiral staircase to loft. This wasn't noted in any other reviews. It wasn't a problem for our family but could be for others.

Despite the negatives, this was still a great great rental. Loved our time there.

Lovely location needing much maintenance

  • 3 of 5

We loved the enclosed pool and hot tub area, spent a lot of time there with our kids and grandkids. Overall, the house was large and accommodating with 4 bathrooms which was great for a group of 8!

I do have to say it obviously needs some maintenance that has been deferred. The built-in grill by the pool area has apparently melted/burned the metal trim around the window above it; seems to be a fire hazard so we never used it. My husband oiled the boat hoist so it wouldn't make such an awful sound raising and lowering, oiled the sliding glass doors so it didn't take brute strength to open. I also found unclean dishes and glasses put away in the cupboards, coffee and lip stick stains, etc. Other than that, the house was pretty clean overall.

The master bath had ONE washcloth for the whole week...go figure!

We rented the Grady White boat as an addition to the property. The fuel gauge was broken and it was pretty dirty. The 1 anchor was broken so that it only had one fin and really wouldn't hold the boat in place. Also, the master bathroom toilet seat was cracked in half and pinched us in the nite! We called Shawn (property representative) the next day and he brought another anchor and fixed the toilet seat. The enclosed hull of the boat was really dirty and we didn't go in there.

We really enjoyed boating to Kewadin and up to Naples, lots of dophin sitings! Also, the Gypsy Cafe and the Capri Fish House were delicious restaurants and only about 1/2 mile away!

The location on a canal viewing the gulf was accurate and beautiful.

Owner's Response: Dear Monica nd family, We are glad to hear you enjoyed your stay and the boat trips to Keewaydin and Naples. We like to think that we provide a very unique and enjoyable vacation experience to our guests. We apologize for the maintenance issues with the Grady White, unfortunately we had had a number of back to back rentals and our maintenance had suffered as a result. Thankyou for oiling the boat lift and the sliding doors, we will add these items to our managers check list from now on.We will also have the wash cloth shortage taken care of. After speaking with our manager about the unclean dishes and glasses, we will now check the cupboards after each rental to see that previous guests have properly cleaned what they have used. This is something we have never encountered before. With regards to the small damage to the vinyl window near the barbecue, this was caused by a guest leaving an item on the grill unattended last year that caught fire. The grill is safe if it is properly attended. We hope to see you and your family back again in the future. Peter and Annie, owners.

Really really really love it!!!!!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed this property very much. The facilities this property provided is unbeatable. We spend a lot of times in pool area as there are a lot of sittings area and it is enclosed so we don't have any bugs and the pool is heated, the built in BBQ is perfect. The upper deck is also very enjoyable with beautiful view. The kitchen is fully equipped with all kind of cooking utensils. Just can't say enough about this house. And then we also rented the boat Grady White, we took it to Marco Island, to downtown Naples, to go fishing and to the beach. I would definitely recommend to rent the boat if you are renting this house. The owner Annie recommended us to go to Keewaydin Island because of its beach and it is very quiet and private as you can only go there by boat, she is absolutely correct. As a family we decided this is our property to go to for our family reunion or family vacation.

Never have to leave!

  • 4 of 5

Great house! We also rented a boat for the week, and it was so much fun! We really didn't have to go out to do anything the entire week because we had so much to do at the house... It is in the best location possible - right off the Gulf, near town, small neighborhood, all of it! The waterfall was a big hit in the pool to the pre-teens, the older folks enjoyed the wrap around deck with all the beautiful views, and the 'not too young, not too old' went boating everyday. A couple of things that I'm sure were listed somewhere within the sight but I didn't see were that the only bedroom with a TV was in the master suite (we didn't need TV the whole week anyhow), the 3rd floor bedroom is actually a loft over the living room, and the lower level bedroom is basically it's own apartment (the lower level bathroom seemed to be meant for an 'outdoor' bathroom because it wasn't air conditioned and wasn't as well kept as the upstairs bathrooms). My husband and I stayed in the lower level room with our dogs which worked out perfectly to let them out when needed and they could hang out next to the pool without us worrying about them running away because of the screened in area. Shawn was super nice and helpful, and only came by to make sure we felt comfortable and had everything we needed. We loved the house, we loved Naples, and we were so excited to have found this place for our family vacation :)

Great Property

  • 4 of 5

We had a wonderful time staying at your home. It was cleaned early for us, so we were able to check in early, very much appreciated.

We enjoyed all aspects of the home. So much room for everyone.

Have to say that the pool area was our favorite spot to hang out, we spent most of the time down there playing cards, swimming, fishing, it was so beautiful. We even had a Dolphin that visited us almost every day, so we named him "Willard".

Shawn, the property manager was great to work with. He showed us the house/property for about 20-30 min, and before leaving he said, "this is your home for a week, enjoy it". That made us feel very welcome. Thanks again Shawn.
