and moved to Boquete , Panama in 2006 . Bought a 3/4 acre lot and built this property . I live in the main Casita is on the other side of the swimming pool . I only wish that I had moved here sooner in life...It is truly a paradise ...

The Casita was built by the developer to suit the owners needs;there were no restrictions on owner use for gardeners,maids or rental. I am a committee member of both the architectural and compliance committee and I am in full compliance with all CC&R's. I always meet first day guests at the guard gate to get them thru security problem-free and to escort them to the property.That is the motive. The reason that they vacated 2 days early was due to guest auto failure.Their car required towing by car-carrier.When it became apparent that their 4-day stay was going to be 2-days,due to auto failure,they demanded a refund. I refused as per VRBO guidelines. They strongly disagreed and a negative review followed. The Casita does not lack amenities-After every rental all kitchenware and small appliances go into the main house for steam cleaning. Upon arrival of new guests I can custom-tailor the Casita to fit their desires.My guests love it ! There is not a lack of anything,in fact, the main house kitchen looks like a restaurant supply house to serve the variations of desire of Casita guests.
Size of the Casita:My VRBO webpage has 24 color photos of the Casita inside and out. Photo #23 is a blueprint detailing all numerical dimensions.There is nothing hidden...Guests must decide if the size fits their needs. 2 adult women and an adult Labrador Retriever ? ONLY THEY would know their space requirements.I have had many "families of four" stay in the Casita...Older folks in the Queen bed & the younger people on 6-inch futons on the floor. They LOVE IT...it has worked very well !

Rates: I am much aware of my local marketplace,and try to stay right in the middle of the local competition.
Security:The Casita has 3 exterior doors. 2 are unnecessary and redundant,so they are security-locked for enhanced guest security.All amenities are easily accessed from the front door.Guests are always relieved that the un-used doors are security locked.
Things happen in life,in which you become "collateral damage"simply because you are in the vicinity when something bad happens(guest car failure).However I realize that most guests are also wonderful people and in the future I welcome rewarding opportunities to care for my guests who also become good friends.
We were disappointed with our stay for several reasons. First, the owner is renting the in-law unit without permission from the gated community administration so he had to meet us at the security gate and told us NOT to say that we were renting but were friends visiting. This was very uncomfortable.
The casita, although in a serene place, lacked many amenities. The place is basically stripped and upon arrival you must ask the owner to provide them - that goes for toaster, microwave, tv, kitchen utensils, paper towels, etc, etc.
The owner tried to be helpful but this is clearly a new experience for him. It's hard to enjoy the place when suddenly, you need something and you can't find it!
On a downpour, we stayed in the one room (bedroom) with bolted down sliding doors as the owner mentioned this was a measure to avoid break-ins but it was very uncomfortable and it felt like a cell!
There is no way that a party of four can stay in this tiny room (it was hard to share among two since the place does not offer a living room). It is a one-room, one-bed place (owner provides a foam floor futon for the rest, leaving no room for walking inside). Not worth the price.
We left early due to other compounded issues.
Do your homework and stay closer to the town than this housing development.

The 3/4 acre landscaped grounds ; Parking in the front motor court adjacent to the central fountain ; Access to the laundry room in the main house for doing laundry .
I interact with guests as I would want to be, if I was a guest in their home . All guests are treated as friends and family.
If guests are here without a car , I will always offer a ride , when I drive into Boquete Village ( 10 min. by car ) , even though buses and taxis are readily available at the main road ..The atmosphere here is friendly , relaxed , and tranquil.

brings you to a botique restaurant and cantilevered overlook bar with breath-taking 360 degree view of the spectacular Cochea River Canyon with cascading 350 ft. waterfalls into the river below . Stunning Vistas !
Public transportation is readily available at the entrance to Hacienda Los Molinos and the brand new 'four lane highway'. Boquete-David Road is now open for all buses
and taxis . Thrifty Car rental is located in the village of Boquete and guests may park their vehicles in the front motor-court adjacent to the to the central fountain .
Boquete is a picture-postcard mountain villiage , that is situated at 3500 elevation . Boquete feels more like Colorado than Panama... However the best coffee in the world is grown right here in Boquete . Every day is like springtime in Boquete...The village is refreshingly beautiful !
