We both grew up in Oregon, on the coast and in the Williamette Valley. We love the beauty of the Pacific Northwest and all of the wonderful recreational activities it provides.

Living in the Williamette Valley and the heart of Pinot Noir country, we found ourselves too far from Mt. Hood and winter sports. The city of Hood River is the perfect combination of small town atmosphere, fantastic food and beverage options, and amazing proximity to the rivers and mountain.
What makes this House unique
Our house was in need of some love and attention when we found it. It truly was a blank slate. With some hard work and determination we've placed our own unique impression on it, transforming it into a home. One of our favorite things about Hood River is that it is complelely accessible by foot.

Cute, comfy house with easy access
This was our second trip to Hood River-we love driving the fruit loop! This house was super cozy and easy to get in and out of, which was a big plus for my senior mother who has a little trouble getting around. Enjoyed the WiFi and tv. It’s close to downtown, but in a nice quiet neighborhood. I wIsh it had a coffee maker, but I did learn to make french press, which I got pretty good at.
Very comfortable home. Good walking distance to town and local parks. Riding distance to Post Canyon. Added bonus for us was that it was very child friendly--our 1 year old loved the fenced backyard.
Wonderful Home, Great Owners!
Our stay in early September 2018 was so relaxing. The home is well appointed with everything we needed. Weather for our stay was beautiful, so the patio was enjoyed every day. Wine barrel staves on the patio awning are such a clever and fashionable touch. Make your reservations, you’ll love it there!
The house was perfect for our weekend stay, just as advertised. Had everything we needed. Close to the grocery store, but does require some driving into downtown depending on where you’re going, a bit hilly. The WiFi did not work for anyone in our group for some reason, but we didn’t really need it, so not a big deal. Owners were responsive to any questions. Quiet neighborhood. Would definitely stay again!
Cozy, convenient, clean, and quiet!
This is our 3rd stay at the Miller home, and we've loved it every time! It's a very relaxing retreat with lovely modern amenities. I especially enjoyed the temperature-controlled bathroom floor, and the easy-to-follow instructions on how to operate the TV/DVD player! The location is perfect, as that it's only a 2 minute drive from downtown, but far enough away that there isn't a lot of traffic. It's in a very quiet neighborhood. I have a HUGE appreciation for whoever does the housekeeping, as the home has been VERY clean every time we've stayed. My new favorite find downtown is Arome, where they sell hand-blended teas, flavored cooking oils, and flavored vinegars, which you can sample! And as always, I hugely enjoyed breakfast at the Egg River Cafe! Kay is always pleasant to work with. She's friendly and answers emails promptly. I would HIGHLY recommend this lovely retreat!
There are many great breweries, excellent wineries, tasting rooms and fantastic restaurants within Hood River and in the beautiful Hood River Valley. Enjoy a leisurely walk or a gentle bike ride along a well maintained stretch of the Old Columbia River Highway at Mark O. Hatfield trailhead. Downtown Hood River offers a variety of local shopping and eateries. The ever developing Heights and Waterfront areas continue to add fun and variety to the city.

If rental date is less than 30 days from booking date, 100% of all fees are due at time of booking. Owner has the right to terminate contract at any time, without notice. Please allow up to 30 days for refunds to damage deposit. Guest list and renter ID to be submitted within 7 days of setting reservation. Any rentals beyond 7 days are subject to an additional $30 per additional week cleaning fee. Any signs of eating food or drinking beverages on the living room furniture will result in some or all damage deposit being forfieted. Cancellations and Changes in Reservations: Cancellations must be made 30 or more days prior to scheduled arrival in writing. If a reservation is cancelled with less than 30 days notice you will forfeit all monies and be responsible for the full rental amount unless the Property is re-rented for the entire length of the stay and at full price in which case there will be a 10% cancellation fee or $50, whichever is greater.
