A stylish and conveniently located brand new apartment consists of a large lounge with log fire, two large bedrooms (one king-size double, one twin), each with access to a wrap-around terrace, a kitchen with Smeg appliances (including dishwasher) and a bathroom. The whole apartment has underfloor heating and views of the mountains.
We supply good quality bed linen and towels for guest use.
There is a brand new heated indoor swimming pool and sauna complex on-site. There is also underground parking and a laundry facility.
It is extremely well-located in the village centre, with the two main lifts being within walking distance (also a ski bus stop outside if you prefer). It’s a very short walk to the nearest restaurants, snowboard/ski shop, a bar or two, a medium sized supermarket, pharmacy and launderette.
We could not believe how well appointed, pleasant and comfortable the whole complex was and felt we wanted for nothing. Thank you so much for our week’s stay. As it happens the Glacier was fine with a helpful mini dump of snow arriving mid week – in essence we had a great trip!
I spent a week here at Abi's apartment and really couldn't fault it. Arriving by the fantastic little mountain train after a beautiful journey from Geneva airport, her colleague Sloba was waiting to greet me and show me round. The apartment was warm, comfortable, well-equipped, and everything worked! I particularly liked the fireplace (with an initial supply of logs, more available at the Co-op 100 yards away) and the constant fast supply of hot water. The place was also completely peaceful: I never heard a sound from any other apartment on the small complex during my stay. I also enjoyed the swimming pool (which I never had to share) and the sauna (ditto).
As mentioned by other reviewers, the location is perfect: opposite the little station (no noise) and the ski bus stop, supermarket 1 minute's walk which is really handy for fetching bread in the morning, and close enough to the ski lifts to walk there if you feel so inclined. And if the snow is plentiful you can almost ski back to it from the Meilleret side.
So I would certainly recommend this apartment. Abi is very helpful and efficient and provides excellent information. In all honesty, if I were to return it would be in the summer: the area is beautiful and looks ideal for walking. As a ski resort, though, Les Diablerets needs to heave itself into the 21st century (or even the late 20th!).
This place is incredible. Abi (the Owner) is extremely accommodating, and her place is gorgeous. If you are looking to stay in the area, you would be a fool not to rent this location. I design homes for a living, and I even loved the floor plan! Great for entertaining a small group of friends, or perfect for a night in with a loved one. I am not kidding when I say that renting this chalet was the best decision of my entire trip. It really was. There is a gorgeous pool and sauna on site, adequate laundry, and internet available too. The location is perfect. As soon as you get off the train, angle cross the road to the left and you there! It is in the heart of everything there. I have now staying in hotels and chalets in Les Diablerets- the price is almost the same, but you get WAY more for your dollar here. Everything is modern inside, and really quaint. I felt like I was at home. Books, games, tv, dishwasher, great oven and cooktop, great fridge, modern bathroom, comfortable beds, awesome interior decorating... do I need to say more? If you are going to the area, get this place before someone else does! And take good care of it, because I hope one day to return too! Thanks Abi. Thanks Sloba. Thanks Sloba's Son!
we spend conciderable time researching where to go skiing during the feb half term and decided eventurally on Les Diablerets - then came the task of where to stay - we knew we wanted to have access to the outside for the children to play and also be in the heart of the village - we came accross this lovely apartment and booked it up early - les diablerets is an expensive place to stay and we not only picked this apartment due to the cost but also its location and basically it looked like it would have everything we needed
I have to say that les diablerets was a great choice of resorts, there were no queues at the slopes at all, which is so rare in europe in the feb half term, the village itself is charming and has everything you need. The apartment forms part of several apartments just behind the main street and right oposite the trainstation - the location was just fab
there is underground parking which is great, however, is was a problem when trying to get out as its up a steep slope and there was so much snow and ice at the top that we could not get out without chains on - also the parking space is really really tight but still great to have someone inside to park the car - there is also ski lockers for each apartment so you can just dump everything in those rather than taking them all the way up to the apartment - there is also a communial pool with sauna that you access through the underground car park, this was great and the kids loved it, there is also launderette facilities there too
the apartment itself was large and light, the furnishings were are very high standard and the place was spotlessly clean - we found it a bit too hot in there as the double glazing etc is very effeciant - the apartment is a really good size with plenty of room for a family of 4 or 5 - the only thing to say with a silght negative note is that there was not enough cooking equiptment and they could do with a few more plates, cups etc, plenty enough for one sitting but you have to then wash everything up for the next meal - this is the only negative thing I can say about the apartment and its nothing major either
we loved les diablerets and we loved the apartment and we would definately go back there and highly recommend it to everyone
We so much enjoyed this lovely appartment that is well located on the opposite site of the tiny Diablerets station. We didn't miss a thing in the (very stylish and nice) kitchen, we slept super - dooper well in our beds, we enjoyed Sauna and Pool every day, and watched the ski slopes from the living room every morning just so we were sure that another beautiful skiing day was ahead of us! 5 min walk to the slopes that offer amazing views on Mont-Blanc and even on lake Geneva, 10 min drive to the Glacier with a couple of fantastic slopes, and again the views (!!!). Les Diablerets is just nice and has everything one needs - shopping at the COOP (1 min walk from the appartment) is perfect, GREAT traditional dishes in various locations in walking distance. Strong recommendation for this lovely place :)) !
Les Diablerets is a traditional, picturesque Swiss mountain village at the foot of Glacier 3000 that has all the conveniences of a modern holiday resort, only 120km to Geneva airport. The apartment is opposite the village train station, handy if you arrive by train (2h30 to Geneva airport).
It's located in a fabulous ski area suited to all ranges/ages with Glacier 3000 providing skiing from November onwards. If you like resorts with charm and character with slopes that are not overrun with people then Les Diablerets is for you. There is also a 7km sledge run that is great fun for all.
