The Indigo House sits in the beautiful historic University
neighborhood of Missoula minutes away from downtown and in the middle of everything Missoula has to offer. The house is walking distance to the University, Farmer’s Market (May-September), Caras Park, restaurants and coffee houses. For families, the house is directly across the street from Bonner Park, a local attraction that offers water fun in the summer and small concerts by local bands.
Being so close to downtown gives you many options to stay busy in the summer months. Caras Park offers Wednesday’s Out-to-Lunch and Thursday’s Out-to-Dinner. Both venues give a glimpse into what Missoula has to offer, including food from local vendors and beer from local breweries. Downtown also offers many festivals, restaurants, bars, film festivals and many stores for shopping for local products. Additionally there are many yoga and Pilates studios and numerous coffee houses, spas and fly fishing shops within walking distance of the house. During the Fall, Grizzly football, basketball, Lady Griz fans and families of students will enjoy the close proximity to the University of Montana. Snowbowl Ski area is a mere 20 minute drive from the house for your winter ski needs.
Looking to make your stay as much like home away from home, the main floor offers a beautifully remodeled kitchen, dining room, sitting room and full bathroom with a shower/jacuzzi tub and two bedrooms that can sleep 2-4 adults. Need more space? Speak with management to include the basement unit (for an additional fee) to add room for another 2-4 adults.
The home sits within an artistically crafted garden that offers many ways to relax on your vacation. The garden is adorned with beautiful exotic furniture and artwork from around the world that surround the nicely placed pond. Enjoy your meals looking out over the tranquil pond at one of the many sitting arrangements on the back deck.
Our toddler loved our time at Indigo house. Lots of interesting decorations and the yard and pond in the back made just staying home with him lots of fun. We enjoyed grilling in he back and having friends over for dinner in the beautiful garden.
This was our first time in Missoula. The Indigo House was wonderful.....its location was ideal for walking and cycling around town, it's comfort was unsurpassed, and it is definitely a place I will recommend highly and hope to return to! We thoroughly enjoyed Missoula and our visit was complimented tremendously by the Indigo House!
Arielle was also helpful and friendly throughout our stay!
The Indigo house was our second ever VRBO property and we very much enjoyed it. On the plus side, Ariella was terrific and worked with us to make us most comfortable. The home is very comfortable and clearly more room than two of us needed. The neighborhood is clearly the nicest in Missoula with both downtown and University in walking distance. Bonner Park is directly across the street and afforded us a great place to walk the dogs, watch a wonderful Wed night concert (Air Force Orchestra/Band), a great playground for kids, and play tennis had we so chosen. There must be a "beach" volleyball mixed league there as well since there were games going on all week. A big part of the Indigo House's ambience is an unusual decorating theme. Apparently the owner spent much time in Bali and that influence is everywhere from furnishings to the backyard gardens.
On the minus side, there is a tenant upstairs and we did hear some activity though not to any great degree. The house is on a corner and close to the home next door. We alerted Ariella to a minimal privacy concern (window covering transparency) and she said she is going to take care of it.
That said, we loved it and will definitely be back, hoping someone doesn't beat us to it.

What a gem! We were excited to stay in this lovely home after seeing the pictures online but they don't do the home justice. The house was fun and comfortable and had lots of space for us relax in. The outdoor area is gorgeous and truly peaceful. We couldn't have been any happier ! It is also within walking distance to the college. On a side note, Arielle was fantastic to work with. I emailed her with a million questions about the town, college and home and she was so very helpful and kind, thank you Arielle!
This is a beautiful property. It worked very well for my family of three plus my parents. It had a great location and beautiful back yard. Perfect place for our weekend stay.
We loved staying at the Indigo House. It was very comfortable and well appointed, as well as beautifully decorated. It was a perfect place to stay for us, two couples traveling together. We would not hesitate to stay again when we return to Missoula. Thanks for a very enjoyable time.
