Had a good time...stayed for the long 4th of July holiday weekend with my husband and our two boys.
The area is ok...quiet and not much to do...good relaxing time.
The place is a privately owned unit part of a resort so rest of the other units are rented through the resort which makes it not so private but ok.
The unit is decorated beautifully and the bathroom is fully renovated - we really enjoyed that - it is one of the few units facing the water way which is also nice - we saw a dolphin swim by and endless boats sail by which we also enjoyed.
The accommodation is a bit tight for 4 people and although it is advertised to accommodate 4 we were unable to use the top bunk bed as there was no way of getting up there - there was no ladder provided and after asking the owner she just said there wasn't one with no additional options offered. So we were very uncomfortable sleeping 3 adults and a child on a FULL size bed...
The bunk beds do not have real mattreses but rather a foam man made padding which makes them extremely uncomfortable.
The bunk beds were made in the space were the closet was so there is no closet space available although there is lots of drawers available for storage.
This unit should not be advertized as fit to accommodate 4 but 2 unless the bed situation is upgraded.
Parking space is directly in front of the unit however it is NOT assigned to the unit which we found out the hard way when returning from dinner late in the night and someone else's car was parked there...
Overall our stay was ok and I would probably not stay there again...☺️️
The place was neat and clean. I loved the fact that it had bunk beds and was able to sleep 4 comfortably. It has a full refrigerator and it has a two eye stove with pots and pans so we was able to cook while staying here. It truly was home away from home. We would stay again.....
Condo is nice and clean and newly updated. Bathroom is very nice and the bedroom/kitchen/seating room is very comfortable and attractive. Cute patio in the front facing the canal. This unit was fine for two adult women (King bed and bunk beds in a seperate area) and would be perfect for a family of 4. The Tiki Bar has good food and the Monday night Karaoke is a blast!
I thought the room was well kept. The bed was very comfortable. I absolutely loved the look of the shower! We didn't spend a whole lot of time in the room. Only two downfalls I saw was they didn't have an oven so you could maybe cook a pizza and we found the room air to be kinda sticky. We'd go to lay on the bed and it just had a sticky residue feeling. But other than that the view outside was beautiful. Nice little pier we walked every morning. Pool and hot tub were nice and clean. I'm sure we will most definitely be back again. Tried to keep an eye out for dolphins but we did manage to see two manatees while walking the pier.
The room is only about 30 feet away from the intercoastal waterway, and you can sit on the bed or at the table or on the little patio area outside and watch a constant show of dolphins, osprey, pelicans, herons, etc. The inn where the room is located is near the very end of the "Little Harbor" development, which is nestled between the mouth of Tampa bay and the intercoastal waterway and mangrove swamps -- so once you enter the development, it's a 17 1/2 mph speed limit, which means very little traffic noise. We found the other residents to be quite friendly (mostly senior citizen snow birds, but some families on vacation). We enjoyed going to the pier on the other side of the building to watch the sunsets, and going for walks along the bay. We also drove 10 miles north to the manatee viewing area at the power plant and saw about 150 manatees (they swim into the area to get warm in the winter). The room itself is quite nice and tastefully decorated. A slight musty odor -- the fan in the bathroom didn't seem to be hooked up, and that would probably help. We prepared most of our meals in the kitchen area (the stove took a little getting used to, but finally found the directions in the cabinet), and that went well. I would suggest that management provide a little folder or one-page info sheet with items such as where the laundry is located, where directions are for the stove, and so forth. If more than 2 people will be using the room, it might be a good idea to bring one of those expandable drying racks to put out on the patio for drying towels, as the bathroom has very limited area for handing towels. Overall, we enjoyed our stay immensely, and hope to be able to book the room for next year.
A wonderful place to stay! This is a beautiful room with everything you need and it's immaculate. My family stays at this resort every year and this year my sisters all got VRBO rentals at my suggestion. They all had problems with their rooms but once again I LOVED this place!
Resort is centrally located between Tampa, St Pete/Clearwater and Sarasota. It is only a 60 minute drive to the theme parks in Orlando as well.
