Dillon Condo Rental Photos and Description

A mountain home away from home

Enjoy this luxury River Run condo in the Silver Mill Building! 200 yards to the new Keystone gondola, which has been enlarged and relocated to the building side of the river. The river is awesome to look at anytime of the year!

-One KING bedroom that sleeps 6.

-Heated underground parking.

-The River Run village is so awesome; there always seems to be something cool going on here.

-King Bed

-Queen Sleeper

-Queen Murphy Bed

-sleeps 6 (and not on the floor)

-upgraded with nice appliances and furniture

-Fully stocked Kitchen (even muffin tins)

-Two laundry rooms in building

-FREE high speed wireless Internet access.

-3 hot tubs just 20 feet from indoor sauna

- access to a heated pool

-Building lounge has a party/game room with fireplace and pool table.

-ski locker

-fitness center

-close to everything

-unbelievable mountain views

-Keystone's child care center located within a 1 minute walk from condo building (Silver Mill). Ski School located at the River Run gondola.

-Local professional management company to handle any emergencies while you're here.

-This building does not have AC so in the summer it gets warm in the day, it usualy cools off int he evening and there are window fans in the unit.

Best of everything renting a fully equipped, slope side condo and the convenience of a professional management company.

It takes about 3 minutes to get from the ski locker to the gondola and you have to pass by two coffee shops, and the ski school. Just an idea but get the kids all caffeinated then drop them off at ski school before hitting the slopes.

New appliances and furniture. King bed in master, queen sleeper and queen murphy bed. Much larger than other one bedrooms in the area. Flat screen in living above the gas fireplace; Flat screen in the bedroom! Bathroom has private entrance from master and from the living area. Fully stocked kitchen with everything I could think of. I hate going to a condo and needing to bring my own muffin tins and cork screw so I asked my friend, the cook, to make me a list and then stock the condo with everything she said. This is our second home that I just happen to rent out; not a rental I use once in while so I know you will enjoy everything about it. Far more than just a place to stay it's a home away from home. Close to every amenity I can think a person could need, skiing, restaurants, shopping, hiking. If you can think of something fun to do in the mountains, it's close.

Underground parking and free bus makes getting around easy. The balcony has a seating area so you look out overt the village with the slopes in the background.

About Rich or Sherri Forbes

Colorado is home even though I live in Austin Texas for the present time. Sherri is a wonderful real estate broker and keeps me in the lifestyle I have grown accustom to. I have been a police officer for 22 years and love to go to work everyday.

Rich or Sherri Forbes purchased this condo in 2013

Why Rich or Sherri Forbes chose Summit County Colorado

Born and raised in Colorado; drug to Texas for work. Never lost my love for the area and now I can share it with friends and family. Happy to be back even if it's for short periods.

What makes this condo unique

We looked at a bunch of condos that all felt like big motel rooms. We walked into this place and even though it was similar, the lay out and size made it feel more like a home.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We had a blast in Keystone during our recent trip. The weather was great. The condo was just as pictured and expected. Very nice, clean and accommodating. The views were amazing. We enjoyed the fireworks from the deck. The owners were awesome! They checked in to make sure our trip was going well. We appreciated that and the fact that they were available if we had any questions. I would recommend this condo to anyone. You will not be disappointed! Thanks again for sharing your place with our family.

Excellent accomodations!

  • 5 of 5

We have a perfect wedding weekend in Keystone! From the weather to the wine festival and everything in between we had a wonderful time. In total our families rented 5 condos all in this property - this unit was the nicest furnished. Very comfortable and the property management was fantastic. Do note that if you arrive Monday - Thursday check in is not at the Buffalo Lodge, there is an off site location.

We will definitely be back!!

Nice overall, just had a few unexpected hiccups

  • 3 of 5

First off, the condo and the entire property is very nice. aesthetically. Having a fridge, separate bedroom, great view was all wonderful. Upon check-in with a very friendly staff, we were informed the condo (as all others) does not have air conditioning. With the mountain weather I was assured it would not be needed and opening the windows would cool things down. Nice enough outside so I never thought twice about it, until we retired for the evening. 2 fans were located in the bedroom closet so we put them in the windows at bed time. The box fan we gave to the kids in the living room, great. The second fan we tried to use in the bedroom, sounded like an old tractor because the blades were broke. We made a choice to shut the tractor fan off in order to actually sleep without the horrible noise (and I would guess the neighbors could hear it as well). Room never did cool off and we sweated our rears off most of the night. Left the kids to sleep in piece and in the morning the living room was about 65, while the bedroom was 80. 2nd night we made some modifications and air flow was better, but it was cooler out that day as well. Again, facility is nice as is the condo. I just would have liked to have known about no A/C prior to planning the trip and I would have packed a fan to bring with. I won't blame the owners either as maybe they haven't been in the unit for a while. Heck, had I known where to go in Dillon I would have probably spent $15 on a fan and left it in the closet and allowed the owners to discard the other.

Only other downer was that many of the restaurants don't open until 10am or later. Even the ones advertising breakfast. Certainly a drive is not a huge deal, but would have been nice to have a breakfast place to walk to. Looked like there were plenty of others in the River Run area experiencing the same dilemma.

Owner's Response: Sorry to hear about the heat, I do sympathize with you and will make sure I add that the unit does not have AC. I live in Texas so I made this mistake also thinking everywhere has AC. Going to give you a refund to cover your troubles and the new fan. Was the INK SPOT not open for breakfast? Thats where I go and I have never seen it closed.

The BEST Accommodation!

  • 5 of 5

We traveled to Keystone resort for my friend's wedding from NC & FL. We decided to rent through VRBO for a better deal, and ended up having better accommodations than everyone else!

Why it was better:

1. We had a king bed (most other units had full/queens) and it was COMFY & an awesome variety of blankets/pillows

2. Our kitchen was stocked like a home, not a rental unit

3. We had the ability to utilize the sleeper sofa/murphy bed - so we really could sleep 6!

4. Larger bathroom

We were right in the middle of the village, close to EVERYTHING at the resort. The owner is awesome; very quick at responding and even was patient when vrbo messed up my payment. He was great about answering our questions about elevation sickness, what is available etc.

The wi-fi worked great, and we utilized the game system to play a DVD one night. It really feels like a home rather than other "empty rentals".

In June, I would pack a variety of clothes! It was cool in the morning (AWESOME) and warmed up to 83 during the day, then back down to cooler temps (55-68ish).

Pack light clothes to sleep in because none of the units at Keystone have A/C...due to their cooler climate. We found that opening the windows at night allowed plenty of cool air in, and we kept the blinds drawn during the day...we both live in the South so usually A/C is blowing on our face 24/7 so the fresh air was nice!

If I can get back to Keystone, I hope this unit will be available!

Owner's Response: Great to hear everything worked out good for you. I always ask my guest to leave something for the next guest. If we are running low on salt and pepper then leave a new one for the next guest. I try to keep everything a "cook" would need. If you think of anything we can do better let me know and we hope to have ya back. Rich &Sherri

Centrally located in the best ski country in Colorado. Plenty to do out of the snow also. Summer here is awesome!
