The best place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in August for my girlfriend birthday. It was pleasure to be dealing with owner from booking stage to check out stage. Owner was extremely professional and awesome to deal with answering all of our questions, making this a positive experience. Cabin was nice and clean and had everything we needed. Would be for sure coming back again.

Highly recommend it!

Lovely but overpriced!

  • 3 of 5

The cabin itself was perfect! However it only had 2 wine glasses and for the price and level of accommodation it should have had at least 8-10 wine glasses available. Also I would suggest that they have a map and list of things to do available at the cabin. I've stayed at BnB's and other VRBO''s and this is greatly appreciated. My biggest complaint is the price which in my experience should be half of their asking price at least! Would not go again unless the price was cut in half!

Owner's Response: Hi Pat, thanks for the valuable feedback. We can fix some of this immediately. I wasn't aware the wine glasses were low again, I will get some more asap. (they break easy). I also like the idea to publish a list of activities and places to visit locally. Most guests who want ideas ask me via email prior so they can plan but I'd like to leave a list there as well - great idea. As far as the price, I am sorry you felt it too high. We set our price lower than all the competition in the area so we'd get lots of business. At our current price, most weekends sell through the year as well as most days throughout the summer and holidays. So our price is consistent with the market. All this said, it is more economical for a group of around 6 as the price works out to 50/p/n which is our target - vastly cheaper than a hotel and with loads more culture and authenticity. If you ever decide to stay with us again, I'm happy to give you a good break - as we do often for small groups, returning guests or other special circumstances.. Thanks for visiting!

2nd stay, as relaxing as the first

  • 5 of 5

This was our second visit to this lovely cabin, situated on the hill looking out on the mountain side. Once again, we enjoyed our stay. The cabin is a quiet subdivision across the road from Nordegg. There are neighbours, but during our one week stay we hardly saw another soul in the entire subdivision. Fantastic place to get away from the noise and buzz of the city, where you can curl up with a book in front of the fire or look out at the mountain side while having your morning coffee on the deck. We saw deer pass through the yard nearly everyday of our stay.

It is easy to find, easy to get into and easy to get comfortable in. The cabin had everything we needed for our comfort. The common areas were sufficiently large enough to comfortably accommodate our group of 5 + 1 toddler. If you are bringing a rambunctious little one, bring along some gates for the stair(if you want them to stay on the main floor) and possibly something to cordon off the fireplace. Otherwise if your child is like mine, they will love running laps around the wrap around deck, exploring the many trails in the area and trying to make the climb up the steep drive on their own.

Glad we came back!

Great getaway. Quotes are in USD!

  • 5 of 5

Never met the host, but there was no need as we had clear instruction on how to access the property. Lovely cabin, perfect for a getaway. No issues with the stay at all. The cabin was exceptionally well equipped. Only issue to note was with this site which quotes in US dollars regardless of location but does not readily indicate as such. Once you have clicked to accept payment it shows how much you are paying in local currency. In our case it was misrepresenting the cost by roughly $200 as it was converting from USD to CAD.

Nice & quiet area, close to town,

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay. Very quiet area & able to ride ATV's to the local trails. Enjoyed the trails at Bighorn Dam & the Rail Trail & riding up to Baldy Mountain Tower. Was a real treat to have all the amenities to come back to. A hot shower, a fire pit with lots of wood and a barbeque at the end of the day, what more could we ask for. The cabin is very nice with morning sunrises and covered deck that goes all the way around. Highly recommended.

Beautiful cabin, perfect getaway

  • 5 of 5

Well maintained cabin in a great location. We had 7 girls stay for a bachelorette weekend and had ample space for everyone! Kitchen and bathrooms are very well stocked. Would definitely book again! In fact none of us wanted to leave.
