Lovely cabin with a beautiful mountain view.
Great cabin for our Family get together of 4 adults. Plenty of space and beds. A second bathroom would have come in handy a couple of times but other than that, it was perfect. The view was spectacular! Sitting out on the wrap around deck was lovely any time of day. We would definitely stay here again. Loved the cabin and loved the area.
Fantastic place! Really enjoyed it. Had everything we needed. Would definitely rent again!
Beautiful cabin. Loved our stay
This is a beautiful cabin. We enjoyed our stay immensely. Nicely decorated and I quickly became the fireplace master, after following the instructions and watching a YouTube video. It was quite cozy and just nice relaxing place. Originally, we were planning to go to Jasper, but by then we were just tired on driving through the parks and opted out of doing it. We came in through the southern part of Jasper NP, and veered east to reach Nordegg. The drive was longer than expected. Just letting people be aware of that detail.
Nordegg was an old mining town which mostly disappeared after the mine was shut down. But the pies at the MINER’s CAFE are amazing. You must get some.
Only issues are no Internet access and water rationing (which is not a big deal, most of us abuse water consumption). We had our phones for Internet so we were fine. Didn’t think they had cable or satellite but it didn’t matter. We used the media player on the second floor and watched a movie. :-) Took time to play board games and a small session of D&D.
Thanks for sharing your home.
Everything we needed
The owners were excellent to work with and very professional. The property was clean and well stocked with everything we needed, including movies and games to keep my teen occupied. There are neighbors close by, but the area was very quiet. Not many people were around at all. The pictures of the cabin are accurate but some of the photos shown are of the area and not directly on the property. I would suggest providing a map or directions on how to access the hiking trails from the cabin. We took advantage of the mine tour offered at the museum in Nordegg and learned a great deal about the area’s history (and saw some amazing views!). The wrap around deck was perfect to unwind after our day trip to the mountains. We even spotted some deer grazing while we barbecued! We would definitely stay here again!
Booked this cabin for a girls weekend and honestly the photos don’t do it justice! It’s a beautiful combination of rustic but modern amenities and elegance. The location was exceptional and the view to die for. Could not have asked for a better weekend. We will definitely be back!
Beautiful homey cabin for a family trip
Our family had an exceptional stay here on the first half of our trip through the Rockies. We were 5 people all together and there was ample space for us, with private bedroom downstairs and the open loft upstairs. The cabin was gorgeous, well equipped and maintained. We especially appreciated the well stocked kitchen and the plethora of pillows and bedding. The location is great- just a stones throw from Nordegg‘s main street and a great base for day drives to the Lake Abraham area. We would absolutely recommend this home for anyone planning a trip to the mountains.
