About Vacasa, OR - Oregon Coast Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Cozy and beautiful home

 • 5 of 5

We stayed for 2 nights here and wound up spending most of our time at the home while it rained outside. The gas fireplace was a welcome feature and at any point we were able to peak out the window and see the rain coming down on the beach. The view is gorgeous, there is beach access the next street over (2 minute walk at most) and having a full home to make use of was perfect for us.

Our only regret is not booking another day to spend there so we could visit the Depoe Winery and walk on the beach more. The home is just the right amount of space for two people and it's relatively secluded from the upstairs unit and neighboring houses while also being close to places to eat, stores and of course, the beach.

Almost there

 • 3 of 5

As a few previous reviewers have mentioned, but this property is unique in its own way and only lacks a couple of amenities from making this a perfect vacation spot. Prepare to either purchase or bring kitchen items you wish to use if you plan on cooking. A couple of frying pans and a sauce pan were provided but don't expect to boil any crabs or make any pasta dishes. Lighting leading down to the property is nonexistent which is problematic during night time if you plan to get back or arrive late. Management was very responsive, polite and professional when I called. Danielle (property manager)even offered to go purchase some lacking kitchen amenities for us but we declined since it was our last night.

Great View/No Beach Access/Not Comfy

 • 2 of 5

While the price was right, most of the amenities were not as advertised. First, the view is spectacular from the condo. The place is a little worn out and not clean. Dust bunnies everywhere. The gas fireplace did not work, and a phone call to the number provided, was never returned. The dryer made a horrible racket and after reading the reviews from weeks ago that were left in the guest book, it has never been looked at. The hide-a-bed in the living room was horrible. The mattress was only springs. The bed linens and towels are threadbare. The kitchen has very little in the way of condiments, coffee or tea. The trail to the beach is dicey at best. You have to walk along a utilities access "road" and end up behind backyard fences. The trail eventually takes you to a private neighborhood that has no real trail to the beach markers. Once to the beach, it is blocked by a dangerous water channel that has formed between the forest and the ocean. While the people staying upstairs were friendly, we could hear every footstep above us, late into the night.

Lovely Place to Stay

 • 2 of 5

This property has an exceptional view of the coast and is in a very nice location. The property itself is perfect for a couple but it needs some improvements before we would return.

We called Vacasa several times for issues we wanted resolved - they stated they would have the property manager contact us immediately. We never, did I say never, heard from Joe during our entire stay. As far as we are concerned they should get a new manager.

The kitchen is advertised as fully equipped - not even close. Fortunately for us Cliff, the nice maintenance guy, was working on the upstairs property and allowed us to come and forage for enough kitchen stuff to at least make a pasta dinner. The house could have also been cleaner. - maybe that will happen now that spring is here (spring cleaning). There were also a lot of ants in the kitchen and around the dinning room table. The hot tub needed to be about 10 to 15 degrees warmer - called on that - got no response.

This place could be very nice with a little love and someone who had some good oversight skills.

Beautiful view and peaceful location. Uncomfortable hideabed.

 • 3 of 5

Spacious and nice layout. Uncomfortable, saggy couch w horrible hideabed mattress. Sheets had little holes and extra pillows were little and old. 3 wine openers in the kitchen but no spatula. Dirty corners in bathroom. No pot big enough to boil pasta water. We tried to dry wet clothes in dryer and dryer made sounds like a foghorn. Beautiful spot but felt a little neglected.

Great room, space, hot tub, bathroom, kitchen, beach, location, and best of all is the view when you wake up. Worth every penny!
