Overview

About the property

2,800 sf treehouse, 7 private acres.

Perched on the side of a mountain at the end of a pristine, forested drive, with tree lined views from every room.

An amazing natural stone wall welcomes you to a beautifully decorated living room, offset by a wood burning fireplace visible from the living and dining areas.

A separate dining room, with a large dining table, makes you feel as though you're suspended into the trees, proving an amazing view.

The master bedroom on the main floor features a king bed, large flat screen television, and a master bath with a large tile shower, double sinks, granite counter top and two walk-in closets. A second bedroom features a cozy king bed and large flat screen tv, and shares a full bath with a third bedroom with a twin daybed which converts to a queen bed.

A large family room is located on the lower level/walk-out basement and features a wood burning stove encased in a large brick fireplace, comfortable queen size sofa bed, and 55 inch tv.

A fourth bedroom is also on this floor with two twin beds, which can be pushed together to make a king, as well as a full bath with a tub/shower.

All four bedrooms have wonderful tree line views. Just lie in bed and enjoy the view.

Enjoy preparing meals in the fully equipped, gourmet kitchen, which includes full size, stainless steel appliances and lots of great cooking equipment. A pub table with two chairs sits at one end of the kitchen – because we know everyone loves to be in the kitchen.

The large decks are complete with a gas BBQ grill, patio chairs and 2 outdoor dining tables, and is completely private for the perfect place to relax while you listen to the sounds of the creek flowing through the property.

Don't forget to take in the view from the fantastic new hot tub - it's great!

(While no smoking is allowed inside the house, we provide sand buckets outside should you wish to smoke on the deck).

Completely furnished for style and comfort, the house will accommodate up to 8 people.

Get the best of mountain, luxury living and the fabulously, eclectic and fun Asheville vibe!

Guestbook comments from the owner

All our communications prior to our arrival were friendly and prompt. The Asheville Treehouse was exactly as described: luxurious, very private, very quiet, and comfortable. Everything from the beds (great sheets!), to the comfy sofas, great deck chairs on the huge deck, and the clean hot tub, met and exceeded our expectations. This is a great place, perfect for exploring Western North Carolina and Asheville. The Fall must be glorious here! We're already planning our return.

Great find in Asheville area....comfortable home for our New Years family getaway!

  • 5 of 5

We found the house to be everything we expected and more. The owner communicated well during the rental and arrival process with all the information we needed. Beautiful wooded mountain setting, spacious floor plan, hot tub and grill area were just some of what we loved. Will definitely return to see even more of what Asheville had to offer. ~ Lynn K

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely home. It is beautifully decorated and very well appointed.

  • 5 of 5

The property is well maintained and the attention to the details made us feel like we were special guests.

We have visited several VRBO properties and we feel that this one is exceptional - extra care was given to have the kitchen completely stocked (other than food of course).

Thank you for a beautiful Christmas in the mountains!

The treehouse is a perfect getaway!

  • 5 of 5

The treehouse is wonderful. Tonya was great to work with and very accommodating. We have stayed here multiple times in the last few years and plan on continuing that tradition.

The deck and hot tub are great, secluded wooded lot, lots of privacy very peaceful.

Lovely home, precarious road to get there

  • 3 of 5

A beautiful location but precarious drive to the house. Not really suitable if you plan on being out in Asheville dining etc then driving home with no street lights and a very winding steep road.

Owner's Response: We're so glad you loved the house and the location. You came at the perfect time to enjoy the beautiful and colorful view of the trees, which does entail driving up a very short and slightly steep road. We do hope you'll visit again.

Incredibly beautiful and peaceful getaway

  • 5 of 5

Our time spent at this property was more than enjoyable! Indoors was spacious and accommodating for all of the guests giving us room to share a meal or participate in individual activities. The outdoor accommodations were breathtaking! Beautiful landscaping was just the start... The mountains surround this home giving way to a view that is second to none. Our commute to activities or delicious restaurants were just minutes, allowing us to see just what Asheville has to offer! We will certainly be back!

Our home is in a private, mountain community, 15 minutes from downtown Asheville.

Local coffee and fresh baked goods, fresh cheeses and more, can be found at Troyer’s Country Amish Blatz, just at the bottom of the mountain. And if you’d like an espresso, venture just a couple of miles further to Mountain Mojo for even more fresh baked goods and self-serve savory foods. You’ll be 5 minutes from a major grocery chain (Food Lion), as well as great food at The Local Joint, Piazza, Trout Lily Healthy Mini Market, and Pizza and More on 74. A complete list and menus will be waiting for you when you arrive.

Asheville offers so much! Incredible galleries, the best dining, arts, and live entertainment, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and the world famous Biltmore House and Gardens and Winery and Grove Park Inn & Spa and Golf Resort.

Other area attractions and activities include the quaint town of Weaverville, the 435-acre North Carolina Arboretum, the Pisgah National Forest (mountain biking, swimming, hiking), horseback riding, balloon rides, skiing at Wolf Laurel, relaxing at the historic Hot Springs Spa, Harrah’s Cherokee Casino, Chimney Rock Park, Grandfather Mountain, the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad, and, of course, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

We’ve also got lots of personal favorite spots in the area we would be happy to share with you.

In winter months, a four-wheel drive is recommended in case of snow.
