Golf--the nearby Kona Country Club (2 miles south) offers two beautiful 18 hole courses, while the famed Mauna Kea courses are an easy drive (about 25 miles north).

Shopping--1.5 miles to nearby Keauhou Shopping Center or 4 miles north to Kona town.

Scuba Diving--world class boat diving companies in nearby Kona town. The calm, crystal clear underwater world off the Big Island's Kona Coast is known as a premier destination for snorkelers and scuba divers.

Snorkel--see colorful sea turtles, tropical fish, and the occasional eel as close as La’aloa Bay across the street or walk or drive 1 mile south to Kahalu’u Beach Park, one of the Big Island’s most popular snorkeling spots.

Surf--great beginners surfing near Kahalu’u Beach – lessons available; several advanced surfing spots along 4 mile stretch of Ali'i Drive toward Kona town.

The six days spent in your condo was a great home base to explore the Big Island. The condo was fabulous and had everything we needed. It was spacious and the beds were comfortable. Wish we could have stayed longer. We really hope to come back.

This is a clean family oriented unit and building

This is our third stay here in unit 121. Tiny ocean view from lanai. Central A/C that is good at noon for an hour or so but the lovely ocean breeze means just using ceiling fans at night. Unit has boogie boards and a cooler lawn chairs and snorkel gear which is useful at white sands beach just across the road. We love the location and fully equipped kitchen. The oven has an even temp for baking and we used the pool side grills. Dedicated parking spot is nice. This is just a peaceful spot for a family vacay. Everything is provided so no worries.

A Little Magic on the Big Island! Our Vacation Stay in the Condo across from Magic Sands!

Our stay in the White Sands Village Condo was such a pleasure. Location, Location, Location! It was so cool to step out of the Condo, cross the street and you were at one of the best beaches in Kona! Magic Sands! Then it is not far in either direction to Stores, Restaurants, etc. Thank you Erin, for all the extras you provided for your guests to have a wonderful beach experience, such as Beach Towels, Chairs, Snorkel gear, Beach bags and Boogie boards! Best places to Snorkel we found were Two Step and Kahalu'u State Park!

Your Condo was well equiped with everything that one needed for a short stay or an extended one like ours. We felt right at home. We loved the tropical feel you have used throughout the Condo. Loved eating dinner out on the Lanai. We did use the community Bar B Q's a few times and noticed the area is nicely equipped to have meals down there, however prefered the Lanai! Furnishings in the Condo were more than adequate and very comfortable. There is a nice sized cable TV in the living room, and I liked having another TV in the bedroom! I will admit we spent some late evening time using the Wi-Fi for our laptops! I also found a music CD left in my computer, so stuck it in the CD player, where it sounded much better than on my laptop!

It was very nice to have the washer and dryer. Since we packed light, they were a Godsend for us. They both worked well and were easy to use.

The outdoor portion of the complex is beautifully groomed and has beautiful tropical flowers and plants. The pool and jacuzzi are wonderful amenities. There are tennis courts, and a pool table, We however were too busy seeing the sights and spending time in the ocean to use any of these. It is nice to have our own covered parking area also. There is an elevator that serves the building however being on the 1st floor we used the stairs!

I would certainly stay again in a heartbeat. It is a very great place! And again, Location, Location, Location! Erin, we had a wonderful vacation, and were so happy to meet you, Thank you for making this happen for us!

Do Stay Here!!

I highly recommend this apartment. The previous review sounds retaliatory and is not an accurate description of the property or the owner. My company has been bringing athletes and their families to Kona for Ironman for the last 23 years. We always have this apartment in our pool of accommodations and have rented it consecutively for many, many years and will continue to do so. This apartment is probably the cleanest we have ever stayed in. The owner pays attention to every detail and is very particular about the cleanliness of the apartment; you will not find dust anywhere, especially under beds on the beautiful Pergo flooring. Everything in the apartment works perfectly and there have been many upgrades over the last couple of years. The owner is also exceptionally generous in supplying the apartment with everything you need for your stay and she is readily available should you have any need or concern. She is more than fair and flexible when we ask for a late check out, if it is available she is happy to accommodate. It is always a pleasure to do business with such a professional.

Of course the building is not the newest in Kona but it is well maintained by the management. The grounds are beautifully manicured, the pool and barbecues are especially clean, and the new pool restrooms and dry sauna are fabulous. You will find every comfort of home here, and more. Peter E.

Do not stay here!

We do not recommend this place to anyone!

Before entering into the apartment there is a hall covered with stained smelly carpet that no one has ever cleaned siince the building was built. The 2 bedrooms of the apartment are overlooking this hallway and there is this stale smell and dust that comes directly into the 2 bedrooms from the open windows.

The apartment itself was not cleaned very well, there was dust everywhere, on the counter tops, tables, etc. I had to push the beds a couple of feet away towards the wall so I can prevent my kids falling from the bed at night and I can't expalin the dirt and dust that i found under the beds. Also the A/C was very slow to start.

However our main disapointment come from the unethical, unfair and greedy treatment form the owner. We were charged large additional fee on top of the cleaning fee because we had moved the beds in the bedrooms towards the walls and because we had extended the check out time 1.5 hours with the owner's permission!!! When she agreed to the extended check out she did not mention any additional charges.

We found this to be unfair, greedy and unethical practice. This was taken from our damage deposit while nothing was actually damaged!

Very "unpleasant after-taste" experience and we do not recommend it to anyone!

Great location, amenities and service

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this condo. It is well maintained and well stocked for visitors. There is a large supply of beach gear, which we appreciated. The pool is smallish, but still very nice to have. The location is a short drive from the main areas of Kailua, and it was an easy drive to all the things in the area that we wanted to do. It is right across the street from Magic Sands beach, although the surf can be rough there; it is a prime spot for watching sunsets! Erin was very helpful and always responded to questions in record time. We would definitely recommend this condo to other travelers.

We rate the unit a 10!

We loved the Condo and all the amenities. The pool and the outdoor grilling and eating area were a bonus! Having the beach across the street was great. We loved that the location of the condo. We were able to navigate our way to other beaches and other sites with ease. We were delighted that everything was provided for a day at the beach. It felt like home to us the moment we walked in! We would recommend this unit to everyone!
