Beautiful homely house
Cottage was perfect for my husband, me, our daughter, her fiancé and our granddaughter.
Very clean. Beds very comfortable.
Kitchen well appointed and had all we needed except a tumble dryer which was stated in what's provided.
Views are breathtaking and lovely forks behind House perfect for walking our Labrador.
Thank you Cathy
I'm so pleased you enjoyed your stay in Beili Stable Helen. Apologies for no tumble drier (I will take it off the listing). Sorry I could have helped out there with my drier.
Thanks for leaving the cottage clean and tidy.
Best wishes, Cathy
Beautiful cottage, excellent views and fantastic host.
The most beautiful setting, the cottage had everything we could ask for. Cathy was possibly the nicest host we've ever had.
Hi Layla and James,
I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay with us. It was lovely to meet you all - I hope you managed to get home alright without any hiccups!
Best wishes, Cathy and Dave
Lovely cottage and Carol was very welcoming and helpful. Our daughter loved seeing the animals on the farm and we enjoyed local walks and a well recommended pub lunch.
Beautiful position in the hills above Monmouth, comfortable and warm, great hosts Cathy and Dave
We stay for two weeks in mid winter while our house purchase was progressing, all facilities, although wifi is not in the cottage Cathy gave keys and access to the farm house, so able to go online when needed.
Lovely cottage between the Wye Valley and the Brecon Beacons
Charming, very well appointed cottage with everything provided (including Christmas tree!).
Owners very friendly and helpful.
Well situated for the Wye Valley (Monmouth, Tintern Abbey etc.) and the Brecon Beacons (raglan, Abergavenny and Brecon).A to all
We're so pleased that you enjoyed your stay at Penylan Farm and it was lovely to meet you all.

Delightful 'stable' complete with 'manger'!
So comfortable and warm, every need provided for. Perfect to come 'home' to after tramping the mountains and woods. We were so lucky with the weather ) Oct!) with some wonderful morning mists making fantastic photo opportunities. Our hosts could not have been kinder or more obliging - to be honest, that log burner was not really necessary - but visually, such a comfort. Thank you, Cathy and Dave.
We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay at Penylan Farm and glad the weather was kind to you. It was a pleasure to meet you all and hopefully see you again some time. Cathy and Dave
Beili Stable has a 5 star Visit Wales grading and is set in an attractive courtyard on Penylan Farm, originally part of the famous 'Rolls Estate', home of Charles Rolls, co-founder of Rolls Royce. Penylan (top of the hill) has wonderful views. Walks are available from the farm including our individually designed 'Rolls Circuit' which gives you a real feel for the area. Other walks close by are 'Offa's Dyke' path and 'Three Castles', both approximately 2 miles away. Just 5 miles from the medieval market town of Monmouth, birth place of Henry V, we are nestled between the Wye Valley, Forest of Dean and Black Mountains. Abergavenny is just 20 minutes away and if you continue over the Black Mountains you will reach Hay-on-Wye, famous for its annual literary festival. Try water sports on the River Wye, recently voted the public's most popular river in England & Wales, or cycle alongside the Wye on the 'Peregrine Trail'. Very central location for meeting friends and family.
