Special Note: PLEASE CHECK THE CALENDAR BEFORE INQUIRING. Aldea Mar is located on approximately 11 acres of lush tropical vegetation directly on the Gulf of Mexico. The community of Aldea Mar (Village-by-the-Sea) is ideally situated on Venice Island close to town yet far enough away for solitude and relaxation. The Aldea Mar property is unique in that the private beach is only a very short walk from the front door, the large heated and chilled swimming pool is even closer and the oversized putting green is on site. Shuffleboard is also available on site as well as a large clubhouse for scheduled activities and private parties. Our unit is in the perfect location situated just steps from the beach. Everything is close yet the location is very quiet. There is easy access from parking in the covered carport to the unit as well as to the many amenities that Aldea Mar offers. Our two bedroom unit will sleep 6 with plenty of room to entertain guests. Flat screen TVs are in the bedrooms and living room (basic cable included) and the tastefully decorated living room will give you a fresh feel for the Florida gulf coast. There is a full kitchen with upgraded appliances and granite countertops as well as a stackable washer and dryer for your use. High speed wireless internet is provided. We have fishing poles, beach chairs/towels, shark tooth sifters, coolers, beach toys, putters (for weekly putting events with your neighbors) and a set of golf clubs for your use. Rentals are monthly but we can rent for a shorter period of time during the off season. Our home is renter ready with everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Need a bike? We have those (4) too!

My wife and I fell in love with the quiet charm of Venice several years ago. We have been renters ourselves in the area and decided to take the plunge and fuel our passion for the beach, scuba, and shark tooth diving. We hope you enjoy the area as much as we do. It's our favorite home away from home and we hope it will become yours.

What makes this condo unique

Golden beach where Aldea Mar is located is the nicest private beach area on the island of Venice. The property gives you that secluded island/beach feel while being only minutes away to downtown and other amenities in the area.

An absolutely stunning property with caring owners and a fantastic oceanside location

We have stayed in this particular unit for three years in a row for a month each season and it suits our family needs perfectly. The 30 second stroll to the beach or the 5 minute bike ride downtown and the quick access to basically anywhere on the island of Venice make this location unbeatable. The bikes provided with the rental are a fantastic benefit along with the great fishing (equipment also provided) right off of the shore makes you never want to leave this wonderful setting.

The caring and thoughtful owners have provided absolutely everything you will require so that all you need to focus on bringing is your sunglasses, bathing suit, sunscreen and flip flops. The kitchen is very well equipped, the beds are clean and comfortable and the spotless meticulously kept unit is completely free of any noise other than perhaps the wonderful ocean breeze in the palms right outside. The Florida / Beach decor in the unit again reminds you continually that you are on vacation so that the hustle of the city, life pressures or work are not constantly on your mind. The provision of all of the detailed amenities makes a peaceful vacation very simple and extremely relaxing.

Throughout the years of vacationing here we have come to meet several other couples or families either renting or that own units and have really enjoyed the welcoming, pleasant and friendly atmosphere throughout all of Aldea Mar. The maintenance of the tropical grounds and beautifully heated pool is again only a 30 second walk from the door.

Through our many times coming to Venice and now our third year in this unit we have recommended and had friends stay here as well and we all share these similar positive views. We will continue to recommend this unit as each year the owners make small renovations / improvements that make a great vacation even better. Our family, for one, will continue to keep this unit on our number one priority list for all of our return visits to Venice, FLA in the future.

November at Aldea Mar

We rented this condo for the second time and had another excellent month. It is beautifully decorated and fully equipped/ Thanks to new blinds in the living/dining area it is full of light and is a pleasant space for relaxing both indoors and on the lanai. Many upgrades since last year have improved the feel of this spacious unit. Proximity to the beach is a real plus. The pool is excellent for swimming laps. The downtown area is a pleasant 20 minute walk. Aldea Mar is a friendly condo community and the owners of this unit are very accommodating, responsive and helpful. We will return next year.

Was all I wanted it to be !

I would rate it FIVE STAR.

Felt at home the minute I opened the door . Spotless and very modern .

Pool n Ocean was a vacationers dream .

I didn't bring a car and enjoyed the 'just over a mile walk to Publex , Pharmacy and Venice Av. Two beautiful piers a nice 45 walk or 10 min drive .Bravo to home owners .

.Highly recommended for retiries ,a perfect place to relax . I Did not want to leave .

Condo in Paradise

We timed our escape from winter perfectly this year. Our friends at home kept their snow shovels and cold weather gear close at hand. We enjoyed daily bike rides and swims in the spacious pool followed by gorgeous sunsets at the beach. Also took day trips to Ringling Brothers in Sarasota and several local wildlife preserves. Our condo was bright, spacious, and comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked for all our cooking needs. We are looking forward to returning next winter.

Amazing location

This is our second year back and we have booked for next year. the location is amazing! We love to be on the beach and fish off the beach and this location is perfect for anyone who loves to fish, collect sharks teeth, Walk or run on the beach between the South Jetty and Sharky's you are almost in the middle of 2 different areas of things to do. Close to restaurants and great food, close to Publix our favourite grocery store and just an amazing time and we cannot wait to be back in our home away from home.

The town of Venice is known as the Sharks Tooth Capital. Venice Beach is located about half way down the left side (Gulf side) of the state’s peninsula and it has a coral reef just offshore.

Finding pre-historic shark’s teeth seems to be easy to do along this beach! Divers, snorkelers and beachcombers are all able to find various types of teeth that have been washed up from an exposed offshore fossil layer from 2 to 25 million years ago (Miocene). And if you become a shark tooth enthusiast, you’ll be eager to learn what type of tooth you have and which shark it came from. Collecting prehistoric sharks teeth has been a favorite pastime of visitors and residents of the Venice area for decades. They may be black, brown, or gray, depending on the minerals in the soil in which they have been buried. They range in size from one eighth inch to three inches, and on rare occasions more than 6 inches. The Megalodon ('Big Tooth') was an enormous shark – up to 60 feet long – now extinct, but his large teeth can range from tens to hundreds to thousands of $$$!
