Our family bought the original Victorian then rebuilt and remodeled it . We love the area and own a horse farm not far from the house itself. Our family has been in Lexington/Versailles for 30 years. We love this home and think it's the perfect retreat for many events.
Ashley H Dickey purchased this house in 2005
This is such a Historic area of Kentucky and is located on the Beautiful Bluegrass Driving Tour. It's also located amidst some of the world's finest Thoroughbred Horse farms. Members of our family are very familiar with the community and the location is centrally located amongst many attractions and close to Lexington and Versailles.
This home is situated just behind the 'Castle' which has been a landmark for 40 years on U.S. 60. This home is minutes from Keeneland, right at the end of The Bourbon Trail, 10 minutes from Lexington, 5 minutes from the Lexington Airport. It's perfect for a Girls Trip, Quiet Getaway, Sporting Events at UK, Keeneland, The Horse Sales, The Kentucky Horse Park, The Bourbon Trail, Wineries, Horse Farm Tours, Wedding parties, Holidays, and Exploring Kentucky's Natural Wonders. The Thoroughbred horse farms that align Pisgah Pike and surrounding roads are absolutely breathtaking.
This is a super lovely home, well appointed, great kitchen with everything you could possibly need. Loved the back patio and watching horses peacefully grazing and the location is super close to airport, Keeneland, etc. We enjoyed meals out in Lexington, Midway and Georgetown all within short drives. There is a Kroger supermarket an easy 3 mikes up the road and it was less than 30 minutes to our event at the Kentucky Horse Park.
The owner did a super job staying in touch, making check in easy, and even providing welcome baskets of water and chips. Linens were ample and clean, beds were comfy. The 6 of us thoroughly enjoyed our 5-night stay.
The downside was it is really a two-bedroom with a converted basement turned into a rec room and sleeping areas which meant hiking upstairs and through the house to the bathroom for me -- not much fun for old knees!
This was a great house in a great location. We had several family members coming in from out of state and the proximity to the airport worked out great. There was lots of room for us all to visit and have meals together. The surrounding country side is beautiful. This was a very comfortable house and I highly recommend it if you are going to be in the Lexington area. We needed the house on short notice and Ashley was wonderful about getting it ready for us.
Great location, would have been better if the downstairs bedroom had a bathroom on the same floor, instead of having to go upstairs to the main floor.
Nine of us stayed here for five days to celebrate 50 years of friendship that began our freshman year in college. The house was perfect for our gathering. We spent time playing games in the dining room, reminiscing in the living room, cooking, eating and laughing in the kitchen, watching the horses across the street from the patio and making new memories at the many nearby places to go--Keeneland, WinStar Farm, Woodford Reserve, Shaker Village at Pleasant Hill, Downtown Lexington...
The house was clean, well decorated and comfortable. The only downside was that there was no bathroom in the nicely finished basement where half of us slept. We would highly recommend 15 Pisgah Station for a Lexington area stay.
This property is described perfectly. All pictures are very accurate and we couldn't have been happier with our selection. Three families and 10 people stayed in this wonderfully renovated home. Everyone had their "own space", so we were very pleased with the accommodations. Right outside the door, there is a railroad track that made morning walks an added treat. The hostess supplied ample towels, linens and even started us off with a supply of Keurig pods so our first morning got off to a great start! Thanks so much for sharing your home and adding to our enjoyment while visiting Kentucky!
Enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. Centralized location to all of the cities that we visited.
Also very close to the airport. Would certainly consider staying there again.
