Overview

New York House Rental Photos and Description

2 Bedrooms, 1 Bathroom, Sleeps 4. High-speed Internet, Cable TV

You should probably rent this home for a few days because it will take about that long to take your eyes off the river and realize there is even a house on this spectacular property. When you finally do you will be pleased to find a charming riverfront home perched on a high bluff overlooking the river allowing the views from the front terrace to stretch just that much further.

The home was renovated in August 2013 and features hardwood floors, stainless steel appliances and abundance of windows perfect for taking in the view and letting in plenty of sunlight and fresh air.

The second level features two bedrooms (one King, one Queen bed) and a bathroom. The lower level has an eat-in kitchen, living room and enclosed porch. We even added a small bed to the porch just for enjoying cool nights and fresh air.

The property is 1.5 acres in size so it feels very private, especially the lawn areas closer to the river.

Please note, the property owner does not allow gatherings of more than 20 people.

Charming Home

Perfectly located and loaded with charm! Anyone looking for a peaceful getaway should rent this home. My cousin and I thoroughly enjoyed the view, close proximity to Rhinebeck, Hudson and the CIA. Looking forward to staying here again!

Absolutely lovely

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely adored this house, which we stayed in for a July 4 weekend getaway from New York City. It was only my boyfriend, my dog and I, but the house easily can accommodate a family of 4 or two couples (if you don't mind sharing the bathroom). The view of the Hudson is stunning and calming, and there is enough room on the property to run around with the dog or play games. You're just a few minutes down the road from the town of Rhinebeck, which has cute little restaurants, a farmers' market, and neighborhood shops. The house is perfectly clean, well furnished and set up with everything you could need-- from fluffy white towels to board games to a fully equipped kitchen with new pots and pans. Really, the pictures do not do justice to the sweetness of this home. We will definitely be back.

Just WOW!

  • 5 of 5

Believe all of the review for this property. If anything, they fall short of explaining just how wonderful it is. We spent three nights here and wish we could have spent more...much more. The house is absolutely delightful. It's the perfect size for two to four people. The kitchen is extremely well equipped and the living room is very comfortable as are the bedrooms. As beautiful as the house is, though, you can't beat the views. We spent hours just enjoying the spectacular view of the Hudson and the Catskills. Elizabeth at the management company was wonderful to deal with and couldn't have been friendlier even when we had to make a schedule change. It couldn't have been easier or more pain free. Additionally, the guest book in the house - which provides all the pertinent information needed to navigate both the amenities and the area - is an ingenious idea. Finally, the location is ideal completely apart from the views. Rhinebeck, Kingston, Hudson, Tivoli, Hyde Park and many other great spots are within very easy and very pretty drives. While we decided to take it very easy (read: we were pretty lazy, just dreaming the day away enjoying the views and the bird watching) there are a lot of outdoor options for those with more drive. There is no doubt we'll be back!!

Beautiful View!

  • 5 of 5

The house is charming. Very clean and airy, and simply and tastefully furnished. It's a great location, convenient to the town of Rhinebeck, and exploring the area. The house feels private, but not isolated, and the view is amazing. I've been twice and am ready to return!

Perfect for our family gathering

  • 5 of 5

This place was everything we could hope for. My son graduated from Bard, and my sister, and parents and I all stayed in the house. It is beautifully decorated and more importantly has a spectacular private view of the Hudson. After graduation we hosted about 15 people and everyone was very comfortable. The steps are steep, and so are the steps to the only bathroom which is upstairs. However everyone in our part was able to navigate them. The house is very old, but has been renovated. There are 3 AC wall mount units which work well enough. We were there on very hot humid days, and were comfortable. I slept on the porch with the windows open and loved it. It would t be for everyone, but I really enjoyed it. Again.. That view with the long sloping lawn was fantastic at sunset.

Marist Graduation

  • 5 of 5

The house was perfect for our graduation weekend. It slept 4 or 5 easily and the setting was spectacular. When we woke up each morning we saw the beautiful Hudson River Valley right in front of us. It is very close to Rhinebeck and not too far from Hyde Park and Poughkeepsie. The linens, dishes, furniture, hot water and furniture were all first rate. Elizabeth, the realtor, was very prompt and easy to deal with as well.

We will have many excellent memories about the Marist Graduation and this house will be among them.

Nestled in the heart of the Hudson Valley, Rhinebeck has something for everyone. Two hours from New York City by car or by Amtrak, the village has a small town feel with cute shops and a wonderful vibe. With the Culinary Institute only 15 minutes away, the whole region is peppered with great restaurants, farmer's markets and local meat and produce shops. There are countless parks where you can take a casual stroll over looking the Hudson or do some of the most serious hiking and rock climbing on the East Coast. Rich in history, the Hudson River Valley has historical sites, mansions to tour and old towns and villages, some dating back three hundred years. You can get a taste of country life with a hayride or pick-your-own farms or explore nearby places like Woodstock, Hudson, Millbrook and Kingston. For the kids, there is the Old Aerodrome, which has antique airplanes on display and air shows. For older kids, horse farms, sportsman’s clubs, golf courses, and dozens of streams and lakes for fishing surround Rhinebeck. Bard College and the Fisher Center for the Arts is only ten minutes away.
