Gorgeous, historic, and completely renovated home in one of Denver’s oldest and most desirable neighborhoods, Washington Park--a small, walkable, and bike friendly neighborhood named for the huge urban park it surrounds--165 acres of gardens, ponds, trails, and lawns.
Washington Park, or as the locals call it, 'Wash Park,' was named one of the “Great Public Spaces in America” in 2012 and was also voted one of the top ten reasons to return to Denver, by 10best.
Downtown Denver is 6 miles away and is accessible by bike via the Cherry Creek bike path or by car via Speer Boulevard in 15 minutes.
Walk to Old South Gaylord shopping district only two blocks away, for shopping, restaurants, coffee, and breakfast.
Walk to Fooducopia Corner Store only four blocks away for groceries or wonderful prepared chef-prepared daily take-home menu.
Fully furnished with everything you might need to enjoy your visit to the Denver area--this sunny three-story home is perfect for groups of 8-12 guests.
Only $350-450 per night for eight guests, plus $45/night for each additional guest.
Enjoy a peaceful park-like setting from the moment you arrive at the house--walk up to the front gate past huge shade trees to the lovely front porch--sink into the vintage porch chairs, and relax with a quiet cup of coffee.
The huge turn-of-the-century half-glass oak front door welcomes you into a home furnished with original art and fun midcentury decor. A classic front hall opens to the front parlor which is perfect for reading a book in front of the antique mantle and vintage inspired gas fireplace. Adjacent to the parlor, there is formal dining room with great lighting which seats 8-10 guests at the vintage table.
The formal dining room opens into a spacious, sunlit great room--watch a movie or catch up with family in cozy seating around a second gas fireplace or enjoy a chat with the cook in the eat-in kitchen dining area that seats 10-12.
Simply amazing chef’s kitchen features granite countertops and high-end stainless appliances, including double french door refrigerator, convection oven, gas cook top, wine steward, and full-sized dishwasher, and maple cabinets.
Nearby is a walk-in butler’s pantry which features full-sized washer and dryer as well as selection of grocery staples. Spacious guest powder room is adjacent. Completely stocked kitchen has every cooking necessity, plus dinner service for sixteen guests.
From the kitchen/great room open the three sets of solidly-built, double french doors to enjoy California-style outdoor living. Enjoy the spacious and lovely deck with cool, retro patio table and seating for 6-8 guests, new Weber grill, and the landscaped backyard.
Dine surrounded by trees and plantings that create a private oasis perfect for entertaining. The deck opens up into a small but lovely yard with sand-box play area. Beyond the garden gate, there are two large private off-street parking spaces. High speed wifi network and local landline phone included.
Wonderful and quiet, this home features an elegant and spacious second-story master suite with luxurious king bed with linen sheets, private balcony with seating to enjoy a cup of tea, writing desk, walk-in closet, and en suite master bath with soaking tub, double sinks, and rain shower.

Beautiful, fully stocked, perfect location within easy walking to great shops and restaurants.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this home in Denver. We had everything we needed and plenty of room for our group of nine. We had our two year old and three year old with us and it was a perfect house for small children. The host was extremely accommodating and responsive if we had any questions. We strolled to dinner a few nights and to shops during the day. It was also a close car ride to a lot of attractions.
We had a fantastic stay at the Vine St. House in Denver! Everything you might need is at this House. Huge Gourmet Kitchen with all the pots and pans and utensils you dream about. Two large dining tables in two different rooms to accommodate your Family Reunions. We had a six-month baby and a sweet four year old joining us. When we informed Elizabeth about this, she made sure we were taken care of by providing a high chair and a pack and play. Our four year old grand daughter enjoyed the new sandbox and played with the many puzzles available. She also enjoyed us reading the kids books from the bookshelf too.
If your are looking for a relaxing visit this VRBO has everything you need. The location in the WashPark area can't be better and just a block away on Gaylord is an area in Denver with unique shops and restaurants. We loved our week at the Vine St. address!!! Jim and Deb
Above and beyond
For those who don't want to read a long write-up, here's my one-word summary our experience at this Washington Park house: Wonderful.
The owner, Elizabeth, greeted us upon arrival (she came early to help the cleaning crew with finishing touches). She had everything setup for us and our kids, even going so far as to buy little toys for them to play with. Her attention to detail was incredible. There was a little stool in the first floor bathroom for our girls to use when washing their hands; freshly picked flowers were waiting for us in the kitchen; and a high chair was in place for our littlest one to use at the table. We've had many positive experiences with VRBO owners over the years, but Elizabeth was by far the most helpful, most responsive, and most thoughtful.
On to the house: It's light and airy and very tastefully decorated, just as it appears in the pictures posted online. If you like to cook, you'll love the very well-stocked and very well-provisioned kitchen. If you like to unwind outside, the deck and yard (which includes a lovely garden area, complete with herbs and flowers, as well as an adorable little sandbox) and master bedroom balcony will be right up your alley. The neighborhood is great, too. Restaurants and coffee shops are all walkable; Whole Foods is a short drive; and Wash Park is incredible, especially on a sunny spring day. Really, it's hard to imagine anyone NOT loving this place!
Ten thumbs up!
This house was a great find for our “girls’ weekend” in Denver. We were a group of 5 professional women of varying ages, interests, and expectations and this Wash Park home scored two thumbs up from each one us. The house is beautiful and fully restored. They’ve managed to keep the elegant older feel of the home, and still create modern spaces. The house is sunlit and welcoming, with plenty of space for our group. We were thrilled with our stay.
The great room was a key piece for us in choosing the house, because we wanted a place for us to all gather during those hours when we were in residence. The photos held true and we found plenty of room and good seating for conversation and laughter. The east facing front porch turned out to be a plus for the first cup of coffee each morning.
The property was spotlessly clean when we arrived. The beds were comfortable. Our towels and bedding were all quality. The kitchen was well stocked with plates, glasses and utensils. Though we didn’t have any children in our group, we took note of the fact that the house was well stocked with games for the kids, and reading material for any adults that might be lucky enough to stay a little longer than we could.
We loved the quiet mature neighborhood (no street noise), the easy walk to the shops on Old South Gaylord Street and to Washington Park and the central Denver location. And we loved the house.
Yes. We would come stay again. And yes, we would definitely recommend it.
Thanks for welcoming us in.
We were called to Denver unexpectedly for a funeral and needed a home for 4 adults and 2 grand children. Elizabeth could not have been more gracious or accommodating.
The home is beautifully restored, warm and charming. There are excellent restaurants and shops within close walking distance and our grand daughters loved Washington Park.
We highly recommend this home. You will not be disappointed.
Home Away from Home
We are so grateful to Elizabeth and this beautiful home for providing us with a great place to stay when we had to move out of our own home due to a flood. With space for all of us and so many of the touches of home...games, cozy blankets, big comfy towels, internet, cable and more. The kitchen is fully stocked with any cookware and dishware you could ever want. The house is beautiful, clean and has really cool decor. Elizabeth and this fantastic house made it a little easier to have to be out of our own home.
