From the moment you walk through the gate, you enter a small piece of paradise! The tranquil garden & location was very relaxing and beautiful. Morning coffee on the deck, watching the tide, wildlife, water activity, beautiful sunrise to the evening sunsets was all magnificent...the deck became a favorite spot! The home had all the amenities one could wish for, not a thing missing. Gail was excellent in all our conversing about the property and activities on the island; she went out of her way to provide us information. We were very fortunate to meet Tim when we arrived, he ensured all our questions were answered and needs met. The Island has a big piece of our heart! We love the people, the lifestyle and peacefulness. We've been here many times before and know we'll be back to stay in our new found paradise. Thank you Gail and Tim for sharing your home with us!!
Tim and Gail's home was everything we could have asked for! We were on a two couple getaway and the accommodation was perfect - 2 separate bedrooms and bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen for our meal preparation and a lovely dining room looking over the ocean to eat at. The garden is simply magical and beckons you at each window. The home is filled with light and even on our rainy weekend we still enjoyed our time. There is a great wood burning fireplace to cozy up to so all times of the year on our west coast is suitable for a pleasant stay.It was a nice touch to have a welcome bottle of wine on arrival - Thankyou Tim and Gail - we hope to return!
This was our second time at this property and it only got better. Salt Spring itself is a draw, but Gail and Tim’s place makes it all that much more. The garden is beautiful, the deck is amazing, and the kitchen and grill provide terrific spaces to take advantage of the bounty of Salt Spring. It was great to drink our coffee, watch the tide go out, and wait for the fat seals to haul themselves onto the rocks. Low tide also brought a mother otter and her kits looking for breakfast among the rocks and oysters on the beach. The occasional deer and bald eagle checked in to say hello. So, give it a try. Highly recommend getting some local cheese, some bread from Heather out by Ruckle, a bottle of white, and a novel. Repeat as required. You will not want to go home.
Tim and Gail are super hosts who replied promptly to our questions. The property is immaculate and there is attention to detail (the knives are sharp!). There is easy access to Ganges for supplies or a meal (try the Tree House). We are very much looking forward to a return trip.
We are quite the travelers & frequently find places on vrbo. This was by far the most beautiful place we have ever rented with everything you need to vacation comfortably. The owners were so accommodating & made sure everything was perfect.
The house is a work of beauty. It's meticulously designed to fit in with the surrounding nature. The windows & skylights that surround the whole house let in so much light that we don't remember when we actually used the overhead lighting! The layout is spacious & the furniture is comfortable (beds are fantastic!). I also need to point out the personal touches all over the house. It's filled with artwork from island artists. It adds so much to the ambiance of the place.
Needless to say we did not want to leave. The entire stay we were in awe of the location, the house, the view & the island itself. We will definitely be renting this place again and have already started to recommend it to all our family & friends.
This is a rental that you can tell was built & furnished with love. It's ultimate luxury & comfort!
I spent 3 glorious days in mid-May at this lovely comfie home. It is spacious, peaceful, immaculate and has everything you need when travelling to make for a "home away from home". The garden is a dream and one can sit on the deck for hours, reading and dreaming, while admiring the water view. I would have no hesitation recommending this lovely home to my friend and family.
Bucolic is the best word to describe this comfortable, roomy, and quiet home right on the Ganges Harbour waterfront. Located about ten minutes drive to Ganges, the home faces south, has a large outdoor patio, and features an open plan living room/dining room/kitchen, as well as a big master bedroom with ensuite, fireplace, three skylights, and walk-in closet. The second bedroom is upstairs, and there is a large tv room with a pull out sofa. The property is well landscaped and includes many native plants and flowers. The Owners are hands-on, available, and responsive. Highly recommended.
