Ermellino is a large, ground floor luxury 3 bedroom & 3 bath/shower room apartment with huge living areas. It is a 9 minute walk from the centre of Montana.

Built in 2010, our terraces face south towards the Matterhorn and east down the stunning Rhone Valley. It has been decorated with comfortable, contemporary interiors.

Resort Info: Situated at 1500m on a sun-drenched plateau high above the Rhone Valley, the villages of upmarket Crans and family oriented Montana form one of the biggest holiday destinations in the Valais. Located on the sunniest hillside in the valley the area has the highest recorded amount of sunshine hours annually in Switzerland – around 330 sunny days per year!

Crans-Montana offers a particularly wide programme of activities all year round. From skiing and sledging in winter, to golfing and walking through trees 7m above the forest floor in summer, Crans-Montana offers something for everyone. The resort is a venue for major sporting events and, with a reputation as a golfing Mecca, draws visitors from all over the world.

With a choice from around 80 restaurants and 20 bars, casino, cinema (with English films), bowling alley, 4 supermarkets, 6 banks, speciality shops including delicatessens, poissoniere, chocolatiere, wine merchants and designer shops, there’s something for everyone.

Apartment Location: Ermellino is brilliantly situated - close to everything but on a quiet road with amazing views.

The funicular railway's Marigny stop is at the bottom of Ermellino's driveway. Go down to Sierre in 17 minutes to wander round this medieval town or go up to the final stop, Montana Gare, in 1 minute. Here, you'll find a bus stop for Crans-Montana's efficient and free resort shuttle buses. Buses will take you around the resort and to all the lift stations. The nearest one is the Violettes lift at Barzettes, a 2 minute bus/ car journey or 12 minute walk.

You can walk into the centre of Montana in just 8 minutes. This is the more family oriented end of the resort with everything from restaurants, bars and supermarkets to early evening ice skating discos and shopping. A 10 minute wander past the ice rink and kids play park brings you to the high end shopping mecca of Crans. From Hermes to Chanel, you'll find some of the finest alpine shopping on your doorstep.

Having been involved with the building work from the start, the apartment is perfect for families and friends - spacious, luxurious, comfortable. It's important to us that our guests have a home from home, so we provide everything that you couild need. No shortcuts at this property! Whilst ideal for adults we think that if the children are happy, then the parents will be do. So we have left you a PlayStation, plenty of video games for all ages, plus an array of good kids books and games. You don't need a car to stay at Ermellino as free public transport is on your doorstep, taking you to the local ski stations or golf courses in just minutes.

Fantastic apartment with superb views

We were a family of four staying at Chalet Ermellino for a week in summer. All I can say is that we had a fabulous time staying in what is a spacious, comfortable and contemporary apartment. The large living room, sizeable bedrooms and balconies with far reaching views of the snow-covered peaks are what stand out the most from our stay. Chalet Ermellino is also well located for both village centres of Crans and Montana and just an hour's drive from Saas Fee and Zermatt. In summary, we would highly recommend a stay at Chalet Ermellino and look forward to returning.

An apartment with a view !

We have recently returned from a fantastic two week stay at Chalet Ermellino. The apartment is indeed as it is described , luxurious, comfortable and well equipped for children and adults alike.The apartment with its two terraces is very spacious . We were five adults , a teenager and two babies and we never felt cramped at any time. However the most striking feature is the outstanding views from the balcony. One can and we did, spend many hours just sitting on the balcony enjoying and admiring the scenery and tranquility . I think one does need a car to get around Crans Montana and beyond, as in the summer not all the local cable cars are operating and we went a little further afield for activities. I did however find the parking downstairs a little tricky! We would certainly go back to Ermellino and would highly recommend it to anyone who wishes to relax in style (provided it is not when we want to go !) Thank you Rayne once again - you were a pleasure to deal with.

Great apartment beautifully equipped

A very pleasant apartment with large rooms and very clean. Nice to go skiing but also to stay in or prepare nice dinner. Fully equipped. Loved our stay.

Lovely summer vacation apartment

This the best family vacation apartment we have ever stayed in for a summer vacation. It contained all necessary things you would would need for a family. It is in a a bit secluded quiet area, yet it is quite close to the town centre. The funicular stop is a few steps away. It is also in a very secure place.

I must give credit to the owner who cared about all little details in her apartment. She immediately took action whenever we had a small problem in the apartment. We really had great times in it, we definitely would rent the same place if we decide to go back there again.

Best vacation in our life

We stayed in this apartment in January, 2014 and spent the best time in our life, starting early in the morning having breakfast and looking on the most breathtaking window view in our life! That was pure pleasure!

The apartment in clean, comfy and as good as shown on the photos! Maybe, even better! We were with our 2 y.o. daughter and had all needed facilities for her. The vacation was comfy and relaxed. Thank you very much!!!

Fantastic location and great facilities

My family and I spent a fantastic week in Chateau Ermellino - the trip from the airport couldn't be easier - Swiss trains are, as you would expect, incredibly punctual and the kids loved the quick ride up to the chalet on the funicular. We found having the funicular no more than two minutes walk from the front door incredibly convenient, whether to go into town or to get to the nearest ski-lift (Barzettes, an easily-accessible 5 minutes or so away) - in either case, the bus is normally waiting for the funicular to arrive.

The chalet itself is one of the cleanest and most well-maintained that we have ever stayed in. The space and facilities are top-notch - we had everything we could think of, from coffee-machine to egg-cups to plastic cups so that the younger ones didn't break the glasses! The bedrooms were incredibly comfortable (the kids loved the bunk-beds, even though they could have slept in single ones) and the linen was as good as we would have at home. The living area was really spacious and gave everyone enough room to do what they wanted, while the views from the balcony are jaw-dropping.

The owners were exceptionally helpful, providing clear and concise instructions as well as being available to answer some of our more stupid questions (like "where's the cutlery drawer?" - for future reference, look in the visitor's book.)

All in all, a really amazing week - we look forward to going back again and I would have no hesitation at all in recommending it to friends and family alike - a top-class chalet!

Just 2 ½ hours from Geneva, Zurich & Milan, Ermellino is a short walk from the centre of Crans-Montana and the Violettes lift station or minutes by car to the nearest golf course. Crans-Montana is a year round holiday destination, offering a wide range of activities from winter to summer. Whether hosting the FIS World Cup during the ski season or the European Masters Omega Championship in September, Crans-Montana offers a great time for family and friends.

Not just an excellent ski and snowboarding area, Crans-Montana is a 365 days per year holiday destination, offering great hiking, mountain biking, paragliding and, of course, golf during the summer. Crans-Montana switches from one season to the next, seamlessly.

Given that the resort has around 330 days of sunshine per year, the locals take advantage to make great Fendant white wines. You can try them at any of the local caves situated on the mountain road

Golf: Crans-Montana has a long golfing tradition. Courses designed by Severiano Ballesteros and Jack Nicklaus are in the middle of the resort. Just outside the resort, two 9-hole courses allow beginners without a handicap to play. The Sierre and Sion golf courses in the Rhône Valley are also close by and the Leuk 18-hole course is just up the valley.

Noas, Chermignon d’en Bas: 9-hole compact course - par 30 - public golf course, no handicap. Open all year round, weather permitting. Just a few minutes by car from Crans-Montana.

Super Crans “Pitch & Putt” 9 holes: par 27, no handicap. Open to all, from June to October.

Severiano Ballesteros Golf Course: 18 holes - par 72. “By far the most spectacular championship course in the world.' said Greg Norman. Where the Omega European Masters tournament is played each September.

Jack Nicklaus Golf Course: - 9 holes - par 35. Has been named as the best nine-hole course in Switzerland four times by Swiss pros.

Ski: Crans-Montana’s season is typically from the end of November to the end of the following April. The 140km of ski slopes stretch from the high plateau at 1500m up to the Plaine Morte Glacier at 3000m, offering pistes for all standards of skier. The ski instruction is extremely good. The Piste Nationale, at 12 km, is the longest in the region.

The resort is served by four main lift stations - Crans, Montana, Violettes and Aminona. All issue lift passes - a 6-day lift pass costs around CHF300 for adults, CHF260 for seniors (men 65+ women 64+) and teenagers (16-19) and CHF180 for juniors (6-15). Children under 6 do not need a pass.

There are car parks at Crans, Montana and Violettes which cost CHF10 for 8 hours and free car parking next to the lift station in Aminona.

If you do not have a car and you do not want to carry skis and wear ski boots on the short walk between the bus stops and the lifts, then you can rent a ski locker at Barzettes for 4 sets of skis, which costs about CHF40 per week.

Rates are subject to change until the reservation is confirmed by us. All bookings are a minimum of 7 nights unless confirmed by ourselves.

Please note that all bank charges relating to electronic transfers for rental and deposit charges are to be borne by the tenant.

There is a tourist tax of CHF2.50 per adult (age 17 and above) per night and CHF1.25 children aged 6 - 16 inclusive. This tax must be paid directly to one of the two Tourist Offices by the tenants during their stay. This is entirely the responsibility of the tenant(s).

50% of rental price on booking then remaining 50% + CHF750 damage deposit at least 28 days before arrival date. The damage deposit is returned, less any fees for damages or losses or extra cleaning charges if the flat is found in an unreasonable state, within 14 days of your departure. The resort's tourist tax (CHF2.50 per adult per night) should be paid by guests at the local Tourist Office.

We respectfully ask smokers to smoke outside the apartment on one of the two terraces. Ashtrays are provided. Terrace furniture for the summer comprises a 2.3m wooden table with parasol and 8 wooden chairs, 4 reclining sun loungers and 2 other chairs plus side tables.
