The Mediterranean Sunrise complex is a beautifully built and superbly maintained property on the outskirts of Oroklini village near Larnaca.
The apartment is only eleven years old and has recently been decorated throughout.
This one-bedroomed accommodation has views out to the Oroklini Hills and also gives you a sunset view every evening.
The bedroom comprises of two-single beds, air-conditioning and two floor-to-ceiling fully-fitted wardrobes.
There is also a patio door leading out to our large balcony (18m2).
In the kitchen area can be found a fully-fitted kitchen, which includes an oven and hob, fridge-freezer, toaster, microwave, kettle, washing machine and all cooking utensils and cutlery.
The kitchen also has a built in smoke detector and a fire extinguisher.
The large dining/lounge area has a dining table and four chairs and at the furthest end of the room is a 2-seater settee and a 3-seater settee which converts to a sofa bed.
Patio doors lead off to the balcony.
Local restaurants: When it comes to eating out Oroklini really does have something for everyone. Oroklini Village has a selection of fine Tavernas within a 10 minute walk of the apartment all of which serve traditional Greek meze at very reasonable prices. There are three bars within easy walking distance where you are assured of a warm welcome. In addition there are a few take-aways in the village offering traditional Greek kebabs together with a pizza parlour.
For those of you who fancy something a bit different to the traditional Greek fayre, the tourist strip on Dhekelia Road is the place for you. A huge variety of tastes are catered for including, Indian (Masalas), Mexican (Aztecas), Chinese (Lilly Wongs), Malaysian (Penang Penang), French and Spanish Tapas. In addition to this wide selection of international cuisine there are also several traditional Greek Tavernas ( Kantara Restaurant being an excellent example).
Activities in Oroklini: In Oroklini Village you can find the following activities readily available.

Water World Water Park in Ayia Napa (direct bus from tourist strip - opposite Princess Hotel) is well worth a day out to and opens from 10am until 6pm every day.
A day trip to Nicosia will give you the opportunity to have a look around the divided city. A visit to the Ledra Museum Observatory is a must. From here you can look out over Nicosia and view the Green Line.
This property is quiet and comfortable and we believe in renting out at fair prices.

The flat was perfect and very clean. It felt very good.
I was picked up in the airport and it was a very kindly man, nice car and comfortable trip.
He helped me with the luggage and gave me the key.
I had a nice time here as usually.
I missed a "good chair" to sit in in the evening and TV i also miss, because i am much inside in the evening now, because i am nearly 80.
(We are looking to install Wifi and cable TV in the Summer of 2011- Owner)
In March/April i will come back for 4 or 6 weeks.

My wife and I stayed in this property on what was our first visit to Cyprus. We often stay in self-catering flats throughout Europe, but must say this was the best. We were impressed with Chris and Caroline's responsiveness and attentiveness during the booking process and while we traveled to ensure our airport transfer was covered, as well as with the management staff on-site being helpful and professional. It was easy - we just turned up and walked into the comfort of this fully-equipped flat - and we commented to each other how clean and fresh we found it. It's spacious and comfortable. The village is great for either a quiet peacefull holiday, or for more active adventures - close to the sea; bars and restaurants, museums and sights, yet with very nice restaurants (both local / traditional as well as western fare) and great pubs in the village just a short stroll from the flat. Also handy are local groceries and fruit / veg markets, a 24-hour So-Easy store as well as a DVD movie rental shop - all within a 5 - 10 minute stroll. It's an ideal location for both young couples or retirees, as you find a very good social mix here. We love the place and will make it a frequent holiday spot -and this flat is the ideal choice.
A fantastic relaxing holiday destination! We stayed at this complex for a week and were very impressed. The appartment was lovely, clean and bright and had all the amenities that you could want for a self catering break. The location was perfect for us as we wanted somewhere quiet but with local tavernas and village life and not 24 hour bars and clubs on the doorstep. The local restaurants are fantastic and the people are so friendly.
We really enjoyed our break here and are already planning a return trip for later in the year.
I spent a week in Oroklini in September of last year, and I certainly was not dissapointed! With the area being around 20 miles from Aya Napa and 10 miles from Larnaca, tourist resorts are easily accessible and certainly not sharp on the ground. For those who prefer to remain close-by, the beach is around a 20 minute walk away and the climate certainly makes for a pleasent walk. I would recommend this apartment to couples and families of all ages as the village is virually disturbance free. The apartment has everything thing you need, as it's fully furnished with all everyday appliances that are required. The peaceful atmosphere of the pool fits in well with the village environment and I will certainly be going back out!
We spent 9 days here in early February and found the apartment very clean, comfortable and well equipped. Despite arriving in very unusually cold weather, the wall air con/heaters kept us toasty. By the time we left the days were getting warmer and warmer and Cyprus really does deserve it's reputation for sun all year round, even if you do get the odd cold day. I can imagine though that in the heat of the summer this flat would be nice and cool.
Oroklini village, 5 minutes walk up the road is a delight, and one of the best birthday nights I ever had was at the Voreas taverna in the old part of the village. A delightfully restored old building, this restaurant is really special, with relaxed, friendly but excellent service and a delicious, more than you can eat, meze. Highly recommended. As well as the friendly bars, dvd rental, supermarket (free cabbage and soft drinks with every shop while we were there!!!), butcher - all a real delight. And cooking in the flat was a dream as the equipment all works - there is a really good proper oven, unlike in some rental apartments.
Once the weather warmed up it was even warm enough to get a slight tan sitting by the pristine pool. Too cold for me to swim in but so nice that they keep it full in the winter.
After a couple of days we did relent and go and rent a car as the buses seemed to be beyond our capabilities! But this was easy enough at the beach and the flat comes with a secure parking slot which was very useful.
All in all I can highly recommend the apartment. Owners Chris and Caroline were delightful to deal with, as were their property management team on the ground who were helpful, highly professional and all jolly good sorts.
Apartment exactly as described, extremely clean, also the whole complex was very well kept and maintained to a high standard.
Very friendly village with good restaurants and bars.
Would recommend a car to visit the various beaches, but if quite happy lazing by the pool perfect spot.

We had a great time away and found this apartment to be of a very good standard. Very spacious and clean throughout and everything we needed for our stay was provided.
The location was excellent for a relaxing sun holiday where we chose to soak up the sun at the pool during the day and visit the local restaurants and bars in the evenings.
If you are looking for a nice relaxing holiday for a couple I would definately recommend this location and apartment. We will definately be going back next year as our holiday was superb.
The Mediterranean Sunrise complex is situated in the quiet and relaxing village of Oroklini in Larnaca.
It is only 1.5km's from the nearest blue-flag beaches and sits among some fantastic taverna's offering a traditional taste of Cypriot cooking.
You will also find a collection of friendly Bars to relax in along with a good mix of (24 hr) Supermarkets, Bakeries and take-out restaurants.
After all of that exploring, you'll be glad of the spacious pool to take a dip into!

The Vikla Golf and Country Club was founded in 1992, designed by Robin Houry. It is situated near the village of Vikla in Cyprus, close to Larnaca and a 20km drive from Limassol. For €34 you can play all day, and this price includes club hire, balls, tees and water.
This golf club is one of the more relaxed in Cyprus and prides itself on customer service; the dress code here is casual and a handicap certificate is not required.
The clubhouse at the Vikla Golf and Country Club has an excellent standard of drinks and bar snacks to offer at affordable prices, and, for those who are not golfers, there is a swimming pool and outside terrace overlooking the green to enjoy. The pro shop has clubs and trolleys available to hire and an excellent selection of golfing equipment for sale.
