About Missy Rosenkampff

We are a family of 6 who enjoy the outdoors, sports and family time. The stress of the daily grind literally drifts out the windows as we ascend the mountain to our little cabin in the woods. As our kids have grown up, moved out, married and discovered their own social lives, our family "get togethers" have become difficult so we've decided to 'share' our little slice of heaven with those lucky enough to stumble upon it. WE'D LOVE TO WORK WITH YOU AND YOUR FAMILY SO CALL US.

Nice relaxing trip on lake Nottely

  • 5 of 5

Great trip and the place was just as we expected it. Lots of space and nice communal areas both inside and on the porch. The kids loved the bunk beds, foosball, and relaxing in the downstairs media room after spending some time on the lake. I was a little worried about being on a skinnier section of the lake, but it really was a beautiful trip downriver and still wide enough to tube with the kids on the way. On the way back you have a nice view of the mountains.

Great lake cabin

  • 3 of 5

My Husband and our kids and my Sister and her family all went on the trip and we really enjoyed our vacation. The cabin was on the lake close to the mountains and many trails, Helton creek falls is awesome bring a change of clothes with you to this one. The cabin was about an hour from Helen, cute tourist town, and about an hour and half from the "lost lake Cavern" in the other direction, bring a lunch or plan to eat elsewhere. The Cabin was a little older and seemed like it had not been in use for a while, the clocks were all flashing and the WIFI all needed to be reset so we could use the TV and internet. There was also a lot of dust on the walls and cobwebs on the downstairs porch. My husband and I stayed upstairs in the master and the bed up there was fine and the two beds in the loft were fine as well, but the bed in the other bedroom and the bunk beds in the basement were really uncomfortable. The kitchen was well equipped but very small for the amount of folks we had and the living room only had one couch and two chairs so it also was not big enough for all of us to comfortable hang out together. We brought our boat and rented the Kayaks from the owner so we spent a great deal of time on the lake which is very nice and only speckled with homes so it was not very crowded on the water. We did not eat in any of the restaurants in town.. Ingles Market is really close and nice and had a huge variety which was great as my daughter is a Vegan and the Wal-Mart and other stores in the area did not have these types of products. Missy was very nice and helpful and quick to respond to all of my requests.

Owner's Response: Dear Kelly, With regard to our cabin we take great strides to provide a comfortable, safe, well-equipped respite away from the stress of everyday life. I'm your family wasn't as comfortable as expected. It is a log cabin and although we work diligently to maintain it year-round, during the summer the spider webs often win the battle . I have asked my cleaning crew to address this and the dust you mentioned immediately. We've had guests staying at the cabin over 70 nights this season so I'm confused by your observation that it seemed "not used in a while"... As well, seasonal storms often cause brief power surges in the area and the WIFI and clocks reset frequently. I apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused. Our cabin has accommodated large groups through the years with nothing but positive feedback so once again, I'm sorry it did not meet your expectations. I am glad that you enjoyed the lake and the kayaks.

Blairesville Home Gibbs Road

  • 5 of 5

Well what a wonderful home to visit, the house is set up just right for family's.. An had a great time, we had 10 people an we were all comfortable.

3-floor's each family had there own space, no problem with running in to each other.

The owner was really nice, a few minor things which I will list so she can address them.

The ice maker's in the Kitchen and the down stairs, need light blubs to be replaced, if you run out of gas on the grill you have to replace it for the next time, which we did. The fan by the swing is not working, and the tub on the main floor does not drain good, just the stopper that needs to be looked at, it won't stay up.

But all was great an all will have a great time with this house, really enjoyed our time, did not want to come home.

Thank you, Missy for letting us use your home...:)..

Great family vacation getaway!

  • 5 of 5

Me and my family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this home, it was just as described. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone looking for a relaxing place in the mountains but close enough to restaurants, waterfalls, drive-ins and winery's. It is spacious enough for more than one family or an extended family and the kitchen is equipped with everything you need. The kids loved the game/kids room downstairs. We loved relaxing on the upstairs balcony with a glass of wine in the afternoon. Thanks for everything! Mary Glenn, Tim and family.

Enjoyed very much

  • 5 of 5

Great house, great location. Kitchen wisely supplied, comfortable beds. On a hot day with AC working it might get too cold downstairs and too warm upstairs as the house has 3 floors. Still many fans on each level provide the comfort needed. Having full bathroom on each level is a huge plus. Private dock allows to swim.

We were 6 adults and 3 kids and enjoyed the house, the pontoon boat we rented from Young Harris and the Vogel State Park.

Beautiful property, beautiful home

  • 5 of 5

So 12 men from our church trekked up to Blairsville for a weekend of R&R. This house fit the bill perfectly. The house was clean and well maintained. We all had an amazing weekend, we were able to have a ton of fun and had more than enough room to watch movies, play games and eat together. We would love to return when the weather is warmer so we can do some swimming in the lake.
