Nestled amongst a stand of notorious Gary Oaks, Waterloo2 immerses you in the heart of a private, quiet garden sanctuary. Gaze into the trees and observe the acrobatic gray squirrels, traveling from branch to branch. Hear the melodic bird songs of local sparrows, robins, and swallows. Smell the lingering fragrance of the mature, well-kept garden and surroundings just outside your door. Waterloo2 is a very modern yet comfortable 1 Bedroom, 1 bath, plus TV lounge and kitchenette self contained suite. Outdoor patio space with dining table, allows you to soak up sun in the southern exposure.

This 315 square foot, well designed vacation rental suite features sleeping and sitting areas with modern furnishings, a well equipped kitchen, and a 3 piece bathroom. Waterloo2 is a self-catered accommodation, where you are free to set your own pace and make the most of your stay. Shared laundry facilities are available upon request.

On your arrival there will be a “starter kit” of healthy breakfast food items that you prepare yourself. Always included for your Waterloo2 stay are: selection of coffee and teas, all paper and soap products (excluding hair products), home made jams, sugar, oil and vinegar, and some spices. Fresh herbs are right outside your door during summer stays.

Whether you stay for a night, a weekend, a week, or a month, this beautiful, private garden suite contains everything you will need to ensure a fabulous and memorable stay.

Your hosts, Ron and Cathie, will welcome you with open arms, but there will be no need for awkward conversations and interactions. Your hosts will be available to offer recommendations on dining, attractions, shopping, and more!

Wonderful!! Not only was it clean and organized the garden was gorgeous!

What a wonderful stay! The hosts were friendly and gracious, the unit was well stocked and immaculate, and the proximity to U Vic was 5 minutes in the car. Comfortable and quite, private and welcoming. I bragged to all my colleagues at the Institute about how great my place was!!

Beautiful garden hideaway in Victoria

Stayed for a week in this lovely apartment while attending a workshop and meetings at UVic. What a wonderful space with thoughtful hosts! The garden is truly beautiful, and the apartment is clean and comfortable. The owners had supplied me with coffee and some breakfast goodies, like fruit, bread, eggs, and yogurt, and were kind enough to replace the super-comfy down duvet and pillows with a non-allergic option for my husband when he joined me mid-week. Location is convenient to UVic, either a 10 minute bus ride from a stop just up the road, or a scenic 30 minute walk up and over Mt Tolmie park. Downtown is about 20 minutes by bus, which arrives about every 15 minutes during the week, so it was easy enough to get downtown for dinner and drinks every night. Victoria dining is fantastic for seafood lovers!

We like adding a little food for arrival as it makes settling into the suite easy without having to rush out to buy breakfast foods. From time to time we do encounter guests with feather/down sensitivities, so now we can offer a hypo allergenic pillows and comforter option. Cathie and Ron lovely hosts enjoyed getting to know them , appreciated the bread,eggs,homemade jam ,fruit etc, loved sitting in their lovely garden , enjoyed having our own entrance use of laundry facilities . A home away from home !hope to be back and would highly recommend 😀
