A - Serene Oasis, Private Lush Veranda, Parking, Pets OK Near All, Sleeps 6

I travel ALOT for both business and pleasure.

I've stayed in 5 flats in LA alone, so I know what it's like to rent in LA.

This place is a gem.

It was so nice to have a private veranda off our bedroom. She wasn't kidding about the parrots. We saw a huge flock of parrots in the back garden. Amazing!

The description seemed a bit odd of the bedrooms, but we actually liked the layout. It was really nice having the kitchen and bathroom in between the bedrooms. (It wouldn't be a good set up for strangers. Come to think of it who travels with strangers?)

I don't have a dog..yet. I'm getting one for Christmas. This place has it's own private dog run which is another reason I'll be back.

We found the free shared parking easy to navigate.

Being this close to DTLA is brilliant. It really is 6 minutes to the best restaurants. Hollywood is super close. LAX is a breeze. We got to the beach in 20 minutes flat.

When we arrived at the property, there was a half smoked cigarette lying on the living room rug. There were no hand towels or washcloths available to us as promised. However, there was a full load of damp towels and sheets in the dryer. The property manager was available the first night for assistance and after that she was MIA. She didn't answer her phone or texts, or provide what we were promised. When she came to the property the first day of our stay, she did mention that the conditions we found were unacceptable. The hose to the portable air conditioner was not secured to the hole in the outside wall in the back bedroom. We secured that ourselves with duct tape. However, the first night the hose fell out of the window no less than 3 times in the middle of the night and there was hot air blowing into the room. There were used dirty hand towel and washcloth in the bathroom. The owner of the property has accused me of "planting" the cigarette in the unit, as well as lying about the issues we were unhappy with. Staying at that property was a big waste of hard earned money. Spent a lot of the time trying to track down the property manager so we could at least get some clean washcloths and hand towels for 3 adults. HomeAway does basically nothing regarding complaints, I will never use VRBO or any of the HomeAway affiliations in the future. There were zero reviews on this property when we rented it. Between that time and our rental date, there was a two star review where someone stated that the property is falsely advertised as a two bedroom. I agree, it is a one bedroom with a bed in the dining room, no doors on that room, just curtains. I can only post this review if I choose a number of stars. I will pick one star only because no stars is not an option.

The place was very cute, clean and had everything that we needed. Also very close to the highway and all the things that we were wanting to do while in Los Angeles . Elizabeth was very nice and helpful as well. We had an awesome stay!

My family and I had a great time staying at Eli’s . We really liked the location of the apartment not to far from anything and the neighbors all seemed nice. The apartment was nice and clean fully stocked with all amenities to make you feel just like home.After our long tiring days it was nice to come back "home" take a shower and fall asleep on such comfortable beds.

It was advertised as a two bedroom. What it was a one bedroom with curtains around the dining room with a bed posing as a bedroom. There was no air conditioning, swamp coolers. When “Manager” we were told she was just cleaning lady, but she helped. There was no broom or ironing board. The outside area needed cleaning up. The area was not appealing nor was the appearance driving up to the location. Very cheap linens and worn furniture. Very expensive for these things.
