Amazing home, perfect in every way
The owners here have set up an absolutely amazing rental experience. So many details to make this the most comfortable place we've ever stayed. Marvelously clean, perfectly maintained, and a wonderful location for exploring Denver.
We've stayed in several VRBO properties, all top quality places, but none has been as perfectly arranged and maintained for the comfort of guests. So many wonderful details, and everything you need for a comfortable stay for a couple. (Yes, there's room for more, but this property is perfect for 2!)
Very well appointed unit in a nice neighborhood. Easy walk to Cheesman Park. Garage was great for parking. Kitchen had everything needed for meal prep. Beds were very comfortable. Highly recommend.
Wonderful Accommodations but Busy Street
The property was extremely nice. It was well stocked with basic items, which isn't always the case. What travelers need to know is that the upstairs bedroom faces a busy street and you can hear the traffic. We were in the basement bedroom and you could not hear any outside noise. Beds, bedding and towels were high end.
The property is very well decorated, and had many higher end features. It is in a neighborhood where there are many other victorian/restored homes. We saw many people out walking their dogs, and what appeared to be college students walking/biking. Great that there is a garage, as parking here and in nearby Denver is at a premium. The property itself is beautiful. We could see that it had dual pane windows, but thought the noise level was high. We could hear people talking on the street, and of course, many cars/trucks (even though it is residential). Downing must be a through street, as we found in Denver, many of the streets are used for getting around town, as there didn't appear to be many highways to pick up the traffic from one end to another. The property is air conditioned, but we had to set the temp down to get it cool enough on the master bedroom level. Then it was cool on the basement bedroom level (which was accomadated with blankets :) ). Overall, a great property with many amenities. Rated it a 4 rather than a 5 because of the room temperature upstairs, and the traffic/street noise.

Great property near botanical gardens and park
